Recommended Customer Reviews

Since we moved here eight years ago, we have used Abacus plumbing exclusively. They have done everything from the extensive work required to replace the main water line to cleaning out clogged drains. Ty is always courteous and concerned with doing the job correctly and for the customer's best benefit.
I recommend them highly.

Efficient, courteous and helpful. Shane knows his business and treats his customers with respect.

Great group to work with. Would recommend them when you need plumbing services. They have the tools to do the job!

Beware of Jesse.
I was told by abacus that they had someone experienced with tankless water heaters, so they sent Jesse out. Jesse told me that mine was only the fourth tankless water heater he had seen and that he had never seen one like it. It is a common rheem brand from home depot.
Jesse was supposed to come at 10 am but showed up at 830 with no call ahead. He messed around with the water heater and did not know how to fix it. which is not surprising, because he really had very little knowledge of them.
Jesse also spent a great deal of time telling me about bees and how his dad kept bees.
He finally gave me a bill charging me 125 an hour.
Jesse insisted that I NOT call the company to pay, he said that I must call his personal cell phone and make payment directly to him...strange.
I spoke with Abacus and told them that I was not going to pay someone with so little experience, who did not know how to fix my water heater, 125 an hour.
I also said that I was not going to pay someone 125 and hour to tell me about their dad's bees.
Jesse must have been secretly listening to the conversation be cause he chimed in that he only told me one thing about the bees, which was a TOTAL LIE!!!!
Jesse told me that his dad had bees and that his dad usually did not wear the veil and the protective gear to handle his bees, as he was not afraid of the bees and they were usually not aggressive, and his dad at some point got a hive that was africanized and that those bees were aggressive and that he would have to wear his protective veil and gear when handling this hive. The hive that was africanized had to be moved far away from the other hives because the africanized bees were aggressive to the other bees as well and would not breed with other hives, but rather would kill the bees in the other hives if they were too close and interpreted as a threat by the africanized bees. Jesse told me that most of the bees in arizona were not in fact africanized bees but european bees and they were very good pollinators..and on and on and on until I literally had to herd him out of my garage.
That is NOT one thing, Jesse.
Abacus, you have a liar working for you.
Jesse, try to find another single mother to scam.

I had a situation where I smelled gas around my stove, so I called SW gas to investigate. The technician was unable to find a leak, and as part of his inspection he preformed a pressure drop test, which I failed. Which is bad news! If the leak can't be found, the only way to get your gas back on is to replace the line.
I got a referral to call Abacus and I was amazed at how knowledgable Jesse was. Seriously he is an expert you can trust. They repeated the pressure drop test which demonstrated there wasn't a leak. Jesse did explain since my home is older, the gas lines were not up to code and suggested how and why these could be replaced in the future. SW gas came back and repeated the test and restored my gas. I have found my forever plumber.

Ty showed up in a mask, along with his trainee and the work performed was superb. Friendly, professional and fast. I highly recommend Abacus Plumbing. Seriously.

If you need outside water lines repairs, we recommend using Abacus Plumbing Company. They are knowledgeable, experienced, cordial, punctual, and price-wise reasonable. We have obtained several estimates for the water line leak and got very different proposals on where the leak might be, what type of line we had, and cost of repair. The owner of Abacus after seeing our desperate situation being without water came out himself. He instructed us to do 15 minutes shallow digging to determine the type of the water line. Abacus recommended highly reputable Leak Detection Company and even called them to help to expedite immediate service. After determining where the leak was we hired Abacus to repair it. They came on time as scheduled and did an excellent, professional job on the repair.

Honest and hardworking company! I'm always recommending them to anyone who asks for a plumber.

Abacus Plumbing is awesome!
We discovered a leak under the foundation of our house (slab leak) and then to our horror found out we had the dreaded polybutelene piping (of doom). Once your poly pipes start leaking you are sitting on a ticking time bomb. We had three reputable plumbers out to discuss our options. All three recommended a full house re-pipe which is an extremely traumatic and invasive procedure (not covered by insurance).
We ultimately went with Abacus.
Bob from Abacus was very confident, and very patiently explained to us how he would go about repiping our home. Since we have no crawlspace, or attic, and a multi-level flat roof, repiping was challenging. Bob had a clear idea of how to do it, and his plan seemed minimally invasive and logical. His bid came in lower than the other 2 as well.
The Abacus team (Shane, Ty and Francesco) showed up on time, with three large trucks, ready to go. They spent a long time making sure they all understood The Plan and then went about it in a very careful way, being sure to ""measure twice and cut once"". They have a great working team relationship with each other. They were super careful about where and how they cut the walls, leaving nice, neat, rectangular holes. They carefully labeled and saved all the drywall pieces so they could be reused. They used high quality materials for the re-piping (PEX, copper and heavy duty brass fittings). They tried to make as few holes as they possibly could; in one case one of them even crawled up into the ceiling to feed pipe around a difficult corner so they could avoid making 2 more holes. Even though our house was a challenge to repipe the team really seemed to enjoy the problem solving process and coming up with solutions. Each night they left us with a working sink, toilet, and shower, and they left the house clean and tidy, so aside from the rectangular holes in the walls it was like they'd never been there. I swear my floors are cleaner now than when they arrived. They were respectful, sympathetic and understanding about how invasive this procedure is, and it was a pleasure having them in our home for three days straight. They even fixed some existing plumbing problems we had in addition to the repiping, and left us with a house that now has NO leaks of any kind. I feel very confident about the job they did, and would not hesitate to recommend them. It's lovely to have peace of mind.

We've used Abacus three or four times over the past few years. They are always very responsive and get the job done right. When we recently saw a pool of water near the house it was a no-brainer to call them out again. As we suspected, we had a leak in our main water line. Since the pipe was the original (45 years old), they recommended replacing the entire line. After the utility location process was conducted, they returned promptly and finished the job in one day. Their pleasant and professional technicians made an unpleasant occurrence tolerable. Thanks, Ty, Bob, and Cory!
