Professional, on time and fast! I had a tenant with a malfunctioning faucet. I was able to make a next day appointment as a first time customer in minutes. the technician charles showed up on time , communicative and professionally attired. The lead, eric, assessed the issue in minutes, I was charged a $49 service fee and given a $257 estimate to finish the job; I was prepared to visit Home Depot to procure a new bathroom faucet set to replace what I was told was a defective kit. The next day I called aardvark, I wasn't able to get through to the office so I called eric directly after purchasing the new kit, he answered his phone right away and was able to verify a 40 minute meeting time at the site. Again, right on time. The job was completed in less than an hour and no issues.
I did feel the price was steep for a simple faucet replacement, over $320... that's a lot. But, they were professional and I haven't had any complaints from my tenant, which is the best part.

Of course I didn't even attempt to haggle on the price, I equated the situation to getting shot and arriving at the Hospital. .. finding out how much the treatment would cost and what...? I needed the job done and it was. All in all, great job!

I called after looking at all of the wonderful reviews, and decided to give it a shot. I could not be more disappointed. While there technician arrived on time, he left within 2 minutes... Not answering any of my questions, and literally ran out the door. Sure, they don't charge for initially looking at the issue, but it's $150 for a diagnostic. I was ready to conduct one, but the technician did not have any of his tools on hand and had to wait until the morning. For a first-time homeowner who is looking at the market for heating and plumbing, I could not be more disappointed and will not go through them ever again. Perhaps it was the specific technician who seemed to be in a hurry, or this company is not as good as it used to be- either way, complete and utter disappointment.

This is the first company I called because they had the most reviews and the highest reviews. When I called them I find out its a cell phone cell phone number to a technician who told me to text him my location and he would get back to me. He did not get back to me that evening and did get back to me the following day. He came out that day but was only here for about 15 minutes. He had no work truck (he was in his personal car) and he was able to diagnose the problem. I had a busted pipe upstairs. I also got suggestions like, ""you should rip this thing out and put a new one"", or, ""you should just spend the money to tap into a gas line"". It seems he didn't have a whole lot of knowledge with my boiler. He told me he could not repair the pipe today, but could tomorrow .

Tomorrow came and went and I got a text message saying now he won't be able to come today but he would ""100% be able to do it tomorrow"". I told him I needed this fixed as soon as possible and he said he could possibly come out tonight. I said that's fine. Further text messages got sent by me but no reply from him. Needless to say he never came out that night. Now we're at tomorrow, which is the day he guaranteed 100% he would be able to get to me, and a morning text to him was not answered within an hour. This company does not have very much reliability when it comes to replying to their customers and honoring their appointment times. It makes me feel like my business is not important to them and therefore I chose to go elsewhere.

Quick and reliable service. Called us back immediately and showed up soon thereafter. Gave an honest assessment and provided fast and efficient service. Eric cleaned up after himself and was available to answer all and any questions. We have used this company for our heating as well as sump pump issues.
Important to note how supportive this company was to us during hurricane Sandy. They not only rescued us out of our home and drove us to safety but they also replaced our entire heating system promptly in the days that followed during a time when good honest service hard to find.

Now I could never get through to there phone. No one picks up. I m having issues with there install. Can't get through for over a year now. Bad business. First time lucky it was just the fuse inside the boiler. Now it's something else and I want them to look at it. And no answer. I'm just gonna hire someone else to look at it. Beware of these guys.

My husband and I just had Eric & Charles over to fix our central air. They were fast, knowledgeable and courteous. 3 hard qualities to find. Our central air is working great! Thanks again!!

What a sleazy operation. They never show up or they show up 5 hours late. They try to rip you off saying you need work that you don't. Then they walk off the job when they realize the repair is under warranty.
DO NOT use these guys. There are a thousand better plumbers on Long Island.
If I could give them NO STARS, I would.

i just used them for an emergency service on a sunday night. Repair person came at 1145pm at night, (exactly as he promised, 35 minutes after I called), was professional and courteous, figured out two separate but serious issues in 20 minutes, and took time to explain to me how my new boiler system worked. I usually don't post on these sites, but i would recommend Aardvark based on this experience and would use them in the future. - Harry (Douglaston, Queens)
