Growing up on a farm, Josh Aakre cultivated a love for hands-on work, which guided him into a construction career with a leading remodeling company in the Twin Cities following two years of playing professional football. Realizing that his handyman side business was growing beyond part-time limits, he made the leap to full-time in 2019, founding Aakre Home Services.

We provide handyman and home remodeling services across the Twin Cities, tackling both routine problems and extensive renovation tasks. As a licensed and insured company, we enjoy addressing your challenges or bringing your dreams to life, and we offer free consultations to review your needs and budget to assess if we align well.

From his childhood on a farm in western Minnesota, Josh has always had a passion for building and projects. With a license as a General Contractor and insurance, Josh has more than five years of experience in the field, serving as a handyman, carpenter, and installer for a top construction company in the Twin Cities prior to founding Aakre Home Services.

A true farm boy at heart, Josh applies his diligent work ethic to each client he serves. A versatile tradesman, he enjoys tackling challenges and embarking on new projects for his clients. With a dedication to converting houses into homes, Josh handles every project with meticulous attention and quality. When not working for his clients, Josh enjoys quality time with his wife, son, and golden retrievers in the White Bear Lake area.
