Professional! Very clean and on time.
The plumber told us what will cost for the extra work before doing it. Price is fair. Will keep their phone number for the future. Thanks
I am so relieved to have randomly found AABC Plumbing during a panicked Google search for a plumber a few days ago. The job was primarily manual labor, but it also required capping off pipes connected to a washer/dryer. Having had my time wasted by other plumbers who were disinterested in taking this ""small"" job, I was faced with a deadline and extreme urgency to get a relatively simple job done on behalf of a client. AABC was the only plumber who was aware of the urgency who did not try to rip me off, and who did not give me the runaround. The plumber (Johnny) was incredibly honest. He worked quickly and efficiently, and did a perfect job. It is likely that a plumber helping me resolve a time-sensitive issue could have easily made up all kinds of nonsense to increase the bill (as others had tried before I hired AABC Plumbing), but this company did not. In fact, the bill was lowered after some changes to my request were made! The office manager (Cynthia) was very quick to respond to my many calls and emails (she actually calls back, how nice!), and issued a certificate of insurance and the master plumber's license immediately. These are documents that are required to gain access and work in almost all NYC buildings, and which sometimes takes other contractors days to submit.
I have only given 4, not 5 stars, simply because I cannot review repairs or installations. My review is specific to the fast turnaround, skilled and friendly service, and reasonable prices by Manhattan standards. After reading some negative reviews here, I wanted to highlight what I thought stood out, and what separates AABC Plumbing from the many lousy plumbers in this city. Without question, I will recommend them to my clients, and will of course contact them if I ever need assistance, myself. As someone who is both on the Board of Directors of a Manhattan co-op and in the real estate business for 13 years, I am no longer stressed about having a reliable plumber on call when I may need one in the future.
10 days to change 4 valves (It was 2 hrs worth of work for 1 man). $ 775.00 for labor and $235 for 4 valves. A lot of time waiting and a big bill as well.
Very rude customer service. I called to set up an appointment and spoke directly with Danny. I ended up canceling his services before he even came to my place. He hung up the phone on me before I could inquire further about his services.. Do not use this place!!!
T B.Just called to inquire about setting up an appointment and Danny is extremely rude. He also gave us two different prices of $175 and $185 without realizing he had quoted us a different price just minutes earlier. He is very unprofessional and ultimately hung up the phone in our face. I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere. Doing business with Danny (Dan) is a disaster waiting to happen!
J.J J.Rude people
Commission payed so be careful with prices
Chargerd me 800 for a faucet and had to repair in several times. Sloppy servicr. Will never use them again and hope you don't.
Michael B.Aabc plumbing is either a scam or simply a horrible plumber. I had a leaky faucet, and didn't want to deal with my landlord, so I called Aabc. They came and for close to $500 ""fixed"" my leak. But, the job they did made it very difficult to turn the knob and after about a month the leak was back. They came back to fix it again, for free, but told me if there were a problem again they would charge me again. Well, a week later the leak was back. I finally called my landlord. The plumber they sent took about 2 minutes to fix the leak and it had been fine ever since. I'll never call Aabc again!
Caprice A.My name is Caprice and I live on 131st street in NYC. Last month, I was a customer of this company (AABC at 172 East 112th Street), and I was very very happy with the customer service of the owner, Dan, who seemed to run a very tight ship!
My plumbing issue ended up being way more involved than we initially anticipated, but Dan was extremely accommodating and professional with everything.
In these current times when businesses have seemingly lost interest in providing good customer service, and most seem to be only interested in ""getting over"" on people (which has definitely been my experience with other companies), I am happy to report that this company is definitely old world professionalism.
That was my honest experience with this company and it is with pleasure that I recommend them.
Nuna C.It was scary just giving this man my address and after quoting me almost $100 just too look at a small issue I am having, I decided to shop around. Found others who would do it for free. When I called back and canceled my appointment he just hung up on me.
They also answer the phone in murmured ""eghh!"" I wish I was exaggerating.
Steer clear.
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON""T THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY. Warning, if you want to be treated disrespectfully by management and be yelled at and called a liar, go ahead and use this company. By far the worst experience I have had with a company...ever I clearly explained the plumbing issue and was given a quote by a manager. After the plumber came and performed the job, he called the manager to confirm the price. The manager charged me $75 more than the original quote. I explained the situation to the plumber and asked him to call the manager to clarify the price increase. After he talked to her, she called me and immediately asked me why I lied to the plumber. Strike one. I explained she quoted me one price and was now trying to charge me more. She started yelling at me and called me a liar and disrespectful. Strike two. She did not try explain a potential miscommunication during the original call. Rather, she took the route of yelling at a paying customer and calling me a liar. I asked to speak to her manager and she said she was the manager. Strike 3. Unbelievable. Leadership and customer service starts at the top. Apparently that lesson is lost on this company. The only saving grace was the plumber. He was hardworking, professional, and courteous. My recommendation to this awful company, make the plumber the manager and send the current manager to the curb. I emplore you not to give your money to a company that does not care about its customers. Plus, they will try to rob you while they disrespect you.
