Recommended Customer Reviews

I moved into my place a year ago. Phil has been out three times. He is always on time and greets me with a smile. He's very matter of fact and super knowledgeable. He's also beyond fair with what he charges. I know I can rely on him to help out when things go wrong.

My home warranty company scheduled AAA Plumbing and Solar to diagnose and repair a leaking water heater. Phil came to my home and confirmed the water heater needed to be replaced.
The day he came out to do the actual work, he quoted me an out of pocket cost that was different than what the home warranty company had advised. I called my home warranty company to ask why they were not covering the cost of the water heater exchange (the additional charge), as the water heater was under warranty. They spoke with Phil as he was in the process of exchanging the water heater with the distributor and when Phil returned to my home he told me he would no longer be doing the work because he wasn't going argue with a home warranty company about paying.
Keep in mind Phil had already disconnected my old water heater, drain pan pipe, gas line and water line, and had nearly completely drained my old water heater. He became argumentative and rude. He finally agreed to put the old water heater back to a ""working"" status. (However, he left it still leaking from a drain pan he cracked during the minimal work he did. The water heater continued to leak all over the floor when he left.)
I called the home warranty company and they confirmed they would pay for the additional exchange cost. I had them on speaker phone and they explained this to Phil and he told them he was now refusing to do the work because he wasn't going to do work on warrantied items any more.
I offered to pay the entire amount to Phil and seek reimbursement from the home warranty company myself, both in order to have a working water heater and because Phil had come out prepared to do the job. This would have alleviated Phil from needing to worry about getting paid. He refused. Seems silly and extremely unprofessional to take out his frustrations with the home warranty company on me, especially since I was willing to pay him and take on the problem of reimbursement from the warranty company myself.
If Phil decided to take on home warranty company work, then as a businessman he should learn to handle his business appropriately and not take it out on the customer that has no part in that exchange. I called the home warranty company not to question Phil's integrity, but to question why they weren't paying for a covered item. Now I clearly see that Phil was trying to circumvent the home warranty company process to get paid and trying to hide that from me. Had I not called to question the cost, I would never have known. It begs the question, was he also going to recover the cost from the home warranty company in order to double dip in his cost recovery?
Unprofessional, unethical, bad business practices.
Now I know why there are so many bad reviews of this company. I strongly suggest finding someone else to do your plumbing.

Find another company to call period. This guy almost runs into me on the frwy and then starts to tailgate me on the 101 doing 70mph. I call him to let him know he's driving a billboard down the road and should be more considerate and he has the nerve to call me a dumb blonde and some other words. If his driving skills, his foul mouth and reviews here on yelp are anything like his services he should be out of business. There are more considerate companies around Conejo Valley that can help you.

First American assigned this A$$ clown to service my home. When he called me to schedule the appointment he asked so many questions that were beyond my scope of knowledge. I mean if I knew what he was asking why the heck would I even need him to come to my home. Before we could go any further he annoyingly stated that my repairs were not covered and I just had enough. I hung up on him even though I know the repairs are covered this jerk deserves less than 1 star. He deserves to get his a$$ kicked.

Phil holy cow no wonder he goes through the warranty companies because no way he would get hired from these reviews. Run as fast as you can from this company. Phil called me from the warranty and it was apparent immediately that he didn't want to come over and see what was wrong. He asked me every question he could that would get him out of it from the type of hot water heater to it's location. When he realized he'd have to come he angrily said I'll be there in 20 minutes and hung up. 20 minutes later he called and said your hot water heater isn't covered by your warranty. I said how do you know you haven't even been there. He said I called them and asked. I was so confused. I called the warranty company and of course it was covered. I called Phil back and asked why did you call the warranty company instead of coming over. I already paid the fee. You would have been paid. Now I have to wait another 2 days for service and no hot water. He noted where I lived and said I was one of those ""entitled"" people who want everything for free. The reality is he wants to get paid more than the warranty company pays him and he takes it out on the customers. Phil, if you treated customer's better, you wouldn't have to use the warranty companies. I do not suggest Phil and AAA Plumbing and Solar.

Phil at AAA responded to our request through our home warranty. He took the time to call and talk through the issue before setting the appointment and was kind enough to offer some suggestions to our potential leak before appointment.. problem was solved and saved a lot of time & money going back and forth with the warranty folks.

AAA Plumbing was assigned to my service request by my home warranty company. Phil provided me with a 4-hour appointment window but didn't show with no explanation as to why. He only called me after I reported the no show to the home warranty company. They are unwilling to assign another plumbing company, but it's not worth my time to deal with AAA Plumbing when I can't even rely on them to show for an appointment.

I had plumbing problems and one of their guys came out twice and couldn't figure out what was wrong and I had to have another company come in. The next guy figured it out in about 5 minutes and was astonished that the first guy didn't get it. I wasted a lot of time with the guy from AAA. Would not recommend.

Trust me if I could rate Phill a ZERO than I would. Do not trust this company. They were assigned by home warranty to complete a simple project. Phill cane out to my home and said, ""oh no this is not a small project"" and that they don't lay him enough. He also went in to say that he won't be able to start on anything today. So why are you here I ask him!? He walked into my home like he doesn't care. He was in and out in less than 3 mins. He's also very rude!

My home warranty company -- Old Republic -- assigned AAA Plumbing & Solar to repair what appears to be a water leak underneath our hardwood floor (you can hear and even feel water as you walk in certain spots). AAA told me they would be at my home between 1-5pm today but when I called at 4:05 to make sure I was on their schedule, I was greeted with a ""No, I will not be coming since I never received any paperwork"" -- even though I spoke to them twice before and was assured they would be here. Old Republic's records and my emails from them shows paperwork was sent two days ago. Basically, I got the feeling it was too late on a Friday for AAA to be bothered with me. They are either totally unorganized or have so much business that they don't need mine. I called Old Republic and asked for a new company because I was either lied too or was mistaken for someone else -- either way, I don't trust their professionalism...especially when I see my experience mirrors others here on Yelp. What a shame.
