Recently we had plumbing issues and called Affordable Plumbing for assistance. I found Mr. Kahn, an owner, and his crew to be professional and reliable. Mr. Kahn returns calls in a timely manner and makes sure his crew is of sufficient number to accomplish the tasks quickly. Mr. Kahn makes sure the job is completed to the customers' satisfaction and stands behind his work returning should additional issues arise. Every business owner should operate their business like Khan. He does not recommend spending more money than you really have to. He and his partner, Leo came out this morning to snake our sewer line. We have had another plumber who came days before but was unable to clear the blockage 40ft away from the cleanout. After the first video inspection, he explained that they will need a commercial grade machine to get the job done. They came back about an hour or so later with the monster machine (see pic) and managed to clear the line all the way to the main (90+ ft away). A truly excellent job done by both the gentlemen. Highly recommended.

Great service! We had a completely clogged drain a week ago. On a Monday morning, it is hard to get anyone to take a look at it. Mr Khan came in as soon as we contacted him. Checked the problem, tried a few things and promised to come back the same afternoon to fix it.

No follow ups required, they were back in time with the equipment required and the job was done quickly.

Highly recommend Mr Khan and his team for plumbing solutions.

I don't know what we would do without Rameez (Khan) and if I could give him six stars, I would! He has come to the rescue for us numerous times since 2012 -- for broken pipes, sewer backups, and even a water heater replacement in a truly miserable crawlspace. He does quality work for a reasonable price and on top of that he is the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet under stressful circumstances. He's reliable and efficient, and he communicates well if there is a delay or problem of any sort. Most uncommonly, he takes time to explain what he is doing without being patronizing or impatient. He is the only plumber we would call -- six stars all the way!

If you're looking for a plumber in the East Bay, these guys are the best. I've been using Khan (AKA Rameez) for several years now and he's a super-knowledgeable plumber who's honest, gives more than fair prices for jobs, is hard working, honest, a great communicator and just a downright nice guy. His business keeps picking up because of this and when my outflow pipe from the house once again got choked with small tree roots and I couldn't flush the toilet or take a shower, he squeezed me in on a Sunday, put in some travel time to get there, and took care of it for a very reasonable price. He's also replaced our hot water heater, coming back a second time with no charge to make sure the lines were all clear after we had some debris back up into the pipes after the water was shut off. Another time he quickly and reasonably patched an outflow pipe that had breached and was leaking under the house. I'm originally a New Yorker, and out here in California, my standards of service are high. (No offense natives!) Plumbing work is not an easy job and Khan simply rocks it with his professional service and always pleasant attitude no matter how busy he is. I highly recommend him for whatever your plumbing needs are.

A group of kind and experienced people!
I called them on Saturday asking for help to fix a leaky sewage pipe in the crawl space.
Sent a couple of photos and made appointment the next morning.
There they are the next day, pipes cut, new joint installed within half an hour. I can use my rest room again in another hour!
They even helped me to fixed a leaky outdoor sprinkle pipe along the way.

I'm happy to say they are my prime choice for my plumbing problems now!

Like so many others who wrote reviews here on Yelp, I had a great experience with Mr. Kahn and his helper Leo.
I woke up on a Saturday morning to find that a sewer vent was running over. I found Mr. Kahn's number on Yelp and gave him a call. He said he had another appointment near me but had a little time to spare and would stop by in 15 minutes to see if there was something he could do quickly. He showed up on time and immediately got to work. In about 30 minutes the clog had been cleared and they packed up their equipment.
Both men were polite and explained what they were doing and what outcome they expected. Mr. Kahn explained what he thought was causing the clog and what they would do if the snake was not able to clear it. Luckily they didn't have to go to the backup plan. I had expected a higher price because of the weekend work but the cost was reasonable. It doesn't get much better than this!

EXCELLENT SERVICE! My tub, toilet, and garage sinks clogged up. I found Mr. Khan here on Yelp, messaged him for a quote, and he got back to me in about 15 minutes (This was on a Wednesday night). He messaged he could probably come Saturday or Sunday, and I asked if he could come sooner. He did. He promised to come Thursday afternoon, but he actually managed to get here 3-4 hours earlier (perfect for me because I wanted this dealt with sooner than later). Even with the initial wait time, he called me back and told me what to do to temporarily allow me to use my tub and toilet overnight. When he and his partner go here, they proceeded to run their ""snake"" through my sewer line. Sure enough, it was roots coming through the joints clogging my line. He then offered to just run his camera through the line, free of charge, just to show me what was the underlying problem (This is usually a $70-80 job to use the camera, but he did it free). He showed what the overall problem was, what to watch for in the next few months, and offered me an estimate for that future solution. He explained his philosophy to me: He didn't want to sell me a more expensive solution when a less expensive one would do, and he gave me the information to make a smarter decision on how to proceed in the future. It was a $175 job but he gave me the $25 discount mentioned here on the Yelp site. So glad I found him on Yelp. Five stars!

My water heater went out last night. Called Khan, as I completely trust not only his expertise, but his honesty. He and his team came out today. They had the job done in a couple of hours. I've got hot water again! Thank you Khan! You and your staff deserve 10 stars if it was possible on Yelp! Great customer service!
