This business deserves another star. I called on the weekend with a plumbing emergency with water all over to several plumbers, who weren't willing to come out until the next day. I got on the phone with a very kind lady at AA Plumbing, and she got her staff to come out immediately after they were finished with their current job. The guy did a super through job, even wiped up areas that were slightly dusty and non- plumbing related. Best of all, he didn't charge an arm and a leg for coming out as an emergency. I have their number saved for any plumbing issue I run into in the future. They're a life saver, and great to work with.

My Dad lives in Birmingham, he had two companies come out to snake the drain in the basement, neither of the companies could get the drain open. One of the companies were going to charge 18,000 and the other one was charging 21,500 to dig up the land and replace the pipe.

A friend referred me to AA Sewer and Plumbling. Lowell who was very polite and professional came out to snake the drain with one of his bigger machines , he worked very hard and was able to get the drain opened which was filled with tree roots. He is a very hard worker and honest company, I would recommend this company to anybody looking to get their drain opened. His contact info is 248-644-8839.

5/7/18 work was done.

We used AA Plumbing for 20 years to clean our drains - Lowell was great!
When we had water on the floor in our lower level, Lowell referred us to a fella who I believe was his brother. He came out and, after ripping out storage cupboards, cutting holes in our ceiling and second level closet walls (to find the source of the leak), told us that he would have to dig into our concrete floor from the stack to the main drain - approximately 20 feet. He even convinced our homeowner's insurance adjuster that the work was necessary. I requested a second opinion from my neighbor's plumber - he said the leak was in the water line in the wall close to were the water was. He said that, because the water was clean, it would never be necessary to dig into the floor drain. Embarrassed to say we paid AA Sewer over $600 to tear up our house - more than the plumber that fixed the leak.

We have had our main drain line back up several times and AA Plumbing is always prompt in coming out to help. I don't believe anyone else would work as hard as Loel to get our line opened back up.

They cleaned our septic tank because we knew there was a problem. We needed to get perk test from Oakland County and Layton said they would handle it. We paid $775.00 for permit and perk test. After getting Oakland County results, we received a contract from AA to repair our septic field. We are senior citizens with my husband on a fixed income and I am working part time, so paying $24,850.00 was a big decision. We signed the contract still thinking that AA would do the work. Work was started by an excavation company not owned by AA owners. During the project, we became aware of the fact that AA handed the entire project over to the excavating company (there was no mention of this in the contract). The excavating company pulled the permit, did all of the pipe laying and handled everything with the county. AA did NOTHING!!! but added money to the project ($3610.00) to take a profit from us. $300.00 from the permit bill was for AA pulling the permit - but that too was done by someone else. If we asked questions, Layton would say that his mother was the boss but his mother would tell me that Layton was handling everything. Before we signed the contract, I asked questions but was told that their company had to handle it since they pulled the permit. Do not believe anything this company tells you. They did do a fine job on cleaning our septic tank. That was the only honest thing they did. Why would I want 2 companies involved when only one company was doing the work?

Recently calls A A to come look at a toilet in our business in Rochester. They came the following day like they said they would, however I never even know they were there. They were supposed to be looking at our bathroom but somehow ended up on the roof. The gentleman came into our store, never introduced himself, just told me I needed to pay $550 to fix the issue on our roof. Not calling anybody about our roof, I explained he would need to take that up with my landlord. He handed me his business card and walked out. I called the following day to try to get the issue with my bathroom finally solved and to find out why they didn't show up. The receptionist began to get very upset with me. Told me they had come the previous day and we declined. Everything seemed to make sense at this point. I told her they never addressed the issues I asked and needed them to come back. She told me my landlord did not want to pay and they would never come back to our business. Trying to explain I have a serious issues that needed to be addressed, she wanted to hear none of it. Constantly cutting me off and not letting me speak. At this point I explained her rude and threatening manor deserved a negative review, I was immediately threatened with a lawsuit ha! From the begging to the end, my entire experience was poor.

I have used Lowell for 4 years now and I fell victim to the Mr Rooter scammers. I was told that my drain was done and I needed to spend $5,000 to get it fixed. I was about to shake hands with them but decided to get a second opinion. I spoke to my neighbors and on my street in downtown Rochester we are notorious for roots getting through the clay pipes. I called Lowell and he showed up at 10 pm to help me that night and was able to get through the roots. He explained to me that the machine he has is more of a commercial auger and more heavy duty. Before you pay money to get it power flushed or spend the thousands of dollars I was about to call AA plumbing. Good family ran business
