I just had a service call done with this company. They were assigned to me by AHS home warranty company. The experience with this company was horrible.
They were called out for a blockage in my upstairs master shower. They technician snaked the drain and in the process broke or disconnected a pipe in the basement ceiling. The technician asked my wife to go in the basement to check if she could hear his snake in the pipes down there. As she went down and did that she told him that she could hear the snake. While that was happening the ceiling then began to leak. As soon he noticed the leak he caused he then said he couldn't unblock the pipes. My wife told him that now the kitchen sink backed up from him pushing the blockage. He tried to leave without even draining the kitchen sink. My wife had to go outside to request he drained it. He then called my warranty company and told them the blockage was from excessive grease being poured in the drain.(Lies) who pours grease in the master shower. That was the only thing blocked when he got here.
The warranty company sent a second company who cleared the issue in 20 min. All they did was notice the blockage had moved so they then snaked from the kitchen sink. So not only was this AA mousley company incompetent but they continue to lie and say they didn't cause damage and say excessive grease was pour in a master shower. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I also have requested that the warranty company stop using them.
I have used Mousley Plumbing several times over the years through AHS and directly. Each time they have been on time, professional, extremely knowledgeable and experienced and resonably priced. I called them this morning with a plumbing emergency (self inflicted... man not knowing his limitations ;). Even though they were booked solid for the day they were at my house within an hour. Problem was fixed in ~ 30 - 45 minutes. Not only that, they also fixed the original problem that I attempted to fix that caused the emergency. Above and beyond!!! I should also mention that the price for all of this was extremely reasonable. In this day and time it is extremely difficult to find talented, professional, friendly, honest and reasonable experts. They are a throwback to a better and simpler time. Thank you Theresa and Al for your help today as well as over the prior years!!!
We had nothing but an excellent experience with this company and I would highly reccomend them to anyone in need of quality, professional and expedient service. We needed our hot water replaced ASAP. We contacted American Home Shield on Sunday and they opened a ticket and put us in touch with Mousley Plumbing, here in Delaware. Now, with AHS or any of the home warranty companies, you cannot expect immediate ""same day service."" Al, from Mousley Plumbing came to our house next day, Monday, and diagnosed that we needed a new water heater. Theresa, the office manager, explained the process with AHS and stayed in touch with us. By Thursday morning, Al installed the brand new water heater in very short time and did a fantastic job!. Al and Theresa were an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish!
If I could give less stars I would. They came our home via AHS warranty. We had some kind of leak into the basement. When they arrived, the water was about a foot deep. They could not go in and determine until we had the water removed. The water company did an emergency shut off for us. It took about a week to have the situation rectified. Once it was cleared, we had them come back out. The guy was in an out within minutes and did not leave a diagnosis with the person at our house, instead turned in a report to the warranty company stating that a pipe has burst from freezing between the bathroom and the dishwasher, but there was no water on in the house. Now how he could determine a leak with no water running in the house and there was no freeze in New Castle the whole month of February! I then called them to see how much it would cost for them to repair since it wasn't covered by the warranty. The lady who answered said they only do work for the warranty company. Now, how can that be true? Not according to their listing as a plumber on the internet. We had another plumbing come out and found absolutely NO leak from any pipes and determined that the old boiler in the basement had leaked the water! I strongly detest the false repairs needed report and their overall bad customer service as a company. No one only does repairs for a warranty company unless you work for that company. They are independent contractors. If they didn't want to do the work, say that, but don't mislead and tell false repairs are needed.
