James has been in the plumbing industry since the year 1979. He earned his Journeyman license in Louisiana in 1985. In late 1985, he relocated to Atlanta and successfully passed the exam for his Georgia Master license. They relocated back to the New Orleans area in 1987. James passed the second Louisiana Master license exam in 1992. He has also participated in hurricane relief plumbing work in Texas. He passed the Pearl River County Mississippi test in 1993, but let it lapse due to lack of work in that area.
