I rated them 4 stars because the team was very respectful, kind, and demonstrated quality in their work. The job was completed as expected, but it took longer than anticipated, which required us to reorganize our schedule. However, The team was flexible in accommodating and rescheduling our plumbing project due to other projects in the crawl space.

One area for improvement is that the bathroom was left quite messy with screws and pieces of tiles scattered around, which was a bit disappointing. Despite this, we appreciated their overall professionalism and flexibility in scheduling.

Good morning A1,

I am respectfully requesting that you please review my invoice for accuracy. It's been a week and I have been going back and forth about it but ultimately I am so upset with concerns of being over charged. Double charged technically.

I already paid for the work $6,000 and me not knowing anything about plumbing and my spouse being deployed overseas, I feel like I got ripped off big time because another company that is working on my house for other items but also does plumbing (but I didn't know that prior to) saw my yard dug up and asked about it and I ended up showing them the bill and the cost and they were in SHOCK.

They read over the bill and told me that job should've been half the cost and basically I got very ripped off. (Can provide company info etc)

The next day I was talking with my neighbor about it and she said she had the same pipe issue when she moved in and her cost was also only $2,800. Again, half what we paid.

I just truly and honestly feel Sick to my stomach about it. I just feel taken advantage of and even the invoice is so vague. There's not like itemized costs ""pipe of this length at this cost etc"" it's just ""this is the work (making it sound like a lot) and BAM $6,000.

My family is STRUGGLING as it is right now and I beg your company to please review the bill for accuracy and I will take down my most recent and only google review I have ever written because it honestly want to be wrong about your company. I just feel so taken advantage of. Please look into this issue. Please, please, please.

Thank you.

My service request was for the installation of a gas line for a new gas range. Their price was within $50 of 3 other reputable companies. I decided on A1 Sewer and Drain because Josh was knowledgeable and explained the process in detail. The gas line was installed and later checked off by the city. The problem arose when I called for service to actually install the new gas range. One tech was sent out to move the boxed new range from the garage to the kitchen. I had my nephew come help get the stove into the kitchen. The tech was unfamiliar with putting the new range cord onto the appliance(dual fuel range) He spent time calling for help and had 2 cigarette breaks in the hour he was here. Most importantly is I told the technician that I smelled gas. He insisted it was caulking my husband had put down. I repeated this concern several more times. He left my home a bit upset because I refused to pay for time spent seeking help and his smoke breaks. In the end I called the gas company...they found 2 leaks in the newly installed gas pipe. I could have given this company 5 stars had the tech at least believed me when i said i smelled gas.

Quick and skilled job installing a replacement toilet that another company broke while replacing the wax ring.

mins but said it would be quick. I was confused that I paid to get told the source of the leak but not have it fixed the same day. I agreed to the continuation. The next day a whole different plumber showed up and had no information from the plumber the day prior and began to do his own source inspection again! He then comes to me and tells me the best he can do is cap my leaking pipe off and lose the ability to use my fridges ice maker. I denied that work because the plumber prior said it was an easy fix. When explaining that to him, he told me no one told him that and he just got told to check my house. I then call the main office and explained the situation to the women on the phone. She then told me that they will send the original plumber from the day prior. I refused to pay the continuation fee 75 dollar per 30 mins. The next day the plumber from the day prior comes and we talk about the headaches from the day before, he begins fixing my leak finally but that ""quick"" job he said 2 day before turned into an hour and a half of work so I paid an extra 225 which should have been only 75 dollars if they had all their supplies the first day.

Be aware this company lie to me and try to scare me, my wife and my tenant and order to sell me a $18,500 job that I didn't need it, And the worst part was they flood my craw space with human feces and toilet paper when they left an open drain because they didn't unclog the bathroom they just opened a pipe and said ""Is unclogged and you can used but you still need to replace your main, because is cracked and has roots. That's your problem"". Thankfully I have the call on speaker and my coworkers listen the whole conversation !!!!!! Because 2 days later they try to put the blame on me.
When I call they didn't responded ,send someone or took responsibility for anything that happened and just tell me to call a company that specializes in renovation or cleaning of craw spaces. We are in the process of take legal action because the smell affects my tenant and ends up in the hospital. Please be aware and please ask PLEASE ASK!!! for proof of whatever damage that they claim your property have! Because they probably just want to sell you a job that maybe, like in my case you don't need it.
In my case they claim my main line was ""completely cracked and covered by roots and that was the reason for the unclothed bathroom"".
COMPLETE LIES..... You can see the picture. I have more pictures and a video and we are going to contact another company with credibility to have more proof of the conditions of my sewer & drain.
So Like a said before don't trust anybody from this company ask questions ,ask for videos or photos something !!!!!!!!
Because like they lie to me and try to sale me a repair that Clearly didn't need because It wasn't true that my main drain line was damage and with roots. They're probably going to try something like that with you. Trust me.

Received an estimate over 30 days ago to switch my current septic tank system to tie into the county sewer system. I was told by the rep when I called that they could still go with the estimate I was given over 30 days ago and that someone would contact me to schedule the job to begin. I received a call from the local branch shortly thereafter informing me that the technician that originally quoted the job was no longer employed there and that they would have to rework the quote. I didn't quite understand why because they had all the info and pictures from the original estimate. A job is a job regardless of who at your company quoted it. I told them to go ahead and work up a new estimate and it's been about 3 days and I haven't heard back from anyone. I had heard good things about this company but my personal experience has been less than expected. When you're about to shell out thousands of dollars for a job you want to feel like the company wants your business. Don't usually post reviews but I was sent an email by them to do so, so I'm obliging.

Update: this company has no idea what they are doing. I wouldn't recommend wasting time or money. I spent 216 for them to come out and tell me it was just a septic problem. I called a septic company to come out and empty my tank although I told A1 I had previously gotten my septic pumped and that could not be the problem. Come to find out I was right. The septic company emptied the septic and even showed me that my septic was completely emptied. So I spent an unnecessary 400 on a septic pumping when I just got it pumped last year. Not to mention that when A1 initially came out they left my pipes cut open when they had told me they would close it during that initial job. They tried to charge me again to come out and fix it and didn't come out to correct their mistake until I posed review only to save face. Terrible company.

My previous review was accurate to my experience -- however, the company apparently saw my review here on Yelp. Without me asking for it, they reviewed my case and reached out to me directly to apologize. They acknowledged that their initial customer service rep gave me a different quote than what I was charged based on their review of service phone call logs and offered to refund the difference. Who I am to say no when I'd already moved on from this incident? About a week or so later, I did receive a refund to my card. I'm impressed that they went to these lengths months after I posted this review, so I felt I needed to update and give props to good follow up customer service when someone has a not so great first experience.
