Came early which was awesome, Mark was very friendly and had the new microwave up and working-Had some slight mounting issues that came up but was resolved (due to stud location and where the screws in the mounting bracket) were...but it all worked out with some finessing. Thanks guys for the quick work!!

We have used A1 handyman 3 times so far. Every single time they have been excellent. The most recent we got to work with Jacob. He built an outdoor cat run for our kitties. He blew us away. He built a structure that was above and beyond. Creative, reasonably priced. Super friendly and patient. Worked his ass off. He did an incredible job. This company has awesome people. Don't hesitate for a second to use them. They are top notch.

We needed a wall mudded and textured. The part was a small 4' and a vertical between two sheet rock. Our son was there with him during the job timing him with his stop watch on his phone. The guy was there 50 minutes and charged for 2 1/2 hours. He wouldn't let our son see the receipt until he paid him using the virus as an excuse. He was going to hand it to him anyways, so he was basically using that as an excuse. Then he kept our house key. We gave it to him to borrow in case son didn't get there on time. Son was there way before the guy was. He's supposedly returning key today. We will see if he does.
We will never use this company ever again.

I had them over to do some crawl space and attic work in an old home on the bench. They were willing to get it done and quick to finish. It ended up being more than the original bid but I added a few things to the list when they got to the house. They did a great job!

Where do I begin? I contacted them to replace a tile backsplash in our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We just bought our first home and this was our first time in hiring someone to do work on our house. I met with Sean at our home April 12th. He looked everything over, took his measurements and gave me the quote for the work. I said sounds good, he wrote out what supplies we needed to purchase and the amount of tile and we would see him to start work the following Monday, April 15th. He did demo day 1 and had to replace all the Sheetrock in the kitchen and bathrooms. So far so good, good communication from Sean. This all changed once the tile was getting done in the kitchen. We noticed crooked tile, sloppy lines, the trim wasn't looking nice, damage to the walls and just messes everywhere. We contacted James the owner, sent pictures, and were met with a very defensive tone and told us ""it's a process."" Sorry but crooked tile and broken pieces is not a process. Day 3, Sean never shows up. It wasn't until after 3 that we heard back from Sean, only because my husband called Sean and James to find out why he didn't show up. Apparently he was sick, didn't call or text to let us know. Sean shows up day 4, claims to be fixing the issues we pointed out. Only to arrive home to find more and more issues. It was only getting worse. Called and sent James more pictures. His response ""well I didn't know we were doing 2 bathrooms. You guys are getting a great price for this job"". First of all we weren't looking for the ""best price"". We never tried to negotiate with them, they quoted us, so why he even felt the need to say that is beyond me. We finally said enough, we did not trust them to come back and complete the job to the degree it should be done. We are now having to start all over again. Demo all the tile Sean had done, redo the Sheetrock, and re tile. After several new contractors came thru I am confident that our expectations were not unrealistic. That his messy and unprofessional work areas is not the industry standard, and his tile work was atrocious. Sean claims he didn't feel good which is why his work was not 100% and that we pressured him in getting it done quickly. This is not the case at all. He gave us his timeline, I have the text messages where he tells me when he would be done with the work. Not one message is from me telling him to hurry up. It was excuse after excuse. Sean laughed when I told him that this was so hurtful that he took such little care and pride in our home and his work. He told me, ""we're going to go ahead and walk away from his job and i won't charge you for the labor."" What a joke of course you're not and I asked him if he would have done this same kind of terrible work in his own home. I told him I expect to be reimbursed for all the material and now for the demo that needs to take place to fix all his terrible work. He said, my boss isn't going to give you any money. I am appalled by the unprofessionalism we received from Sean and even worse from the owner James. Not once did James offer to come and see Sean's work in person. I have posted many pictures, be the judge yourself. None of these backsplashes had been grouted. Biggest disappointment I have ever experienced. We are still awaiting a phone call back from the owner James. Please view the videos.
