hello everyone! I relied on some reviews for this project and decided I needed to tell my story so I can help someone out there. my house suffered a slab leak in one of my bathrooms and the water overflowed and reached some of my hardwood floors. my insurance sent some guys to repair the slab leak and was told that I could end up with another leak in a few years since the house was built in 1979 and all the plumbing was done underground. I panicked !! I do not want to go through this ever again, so I decided to look for a different solution, an acquaintance referred me to a person by the name of Ron from Optimal plumbing! ( what disaster it was! he told me he was going to just reroute the pipes and end the problem. he abandoned the job and made me lose invaluable time. then I learned that the best option was to repipe not reroute the house.
I started to look for a licensed, reputable, insured company to do a repiping of my house. what a surprise !! this is a very interesting business, I interviewed about 5 companies, they wildly differ in price from 12,400 to 9K some did not even include the repairs. ( they will make holes in your drywall and stucco )
fortunately for me, I decided to hire A1 copper-repipe. Ricardo and his crew of professionals are beyond amazing!! Ricardo came to my house, inspected the house, and decided on the best way to run the pipes through the attic with minimal stucco or drywall holes. Mike Miller ( a fine young man and one of the best plumber I have ever seen ) came to my house and reconnected the water. now we had running water. the crew of over 6 people came as agreed and started the repiping which was done in ONE DAY! what a relief! Ricardo was at all times available for any questions or concerns we had. they used the best Uponor AquaPex materials, they installed a pressure regulator, a shut-off valve, they even repaired a drainage trap for the same price. the next day another person showed up and fixed and repair any drywall or stucco they had removed. I would highly recommend Ricardo and his crew. they did a great job in my house now I know I won't have this problem again
I hope this experience will help you and all the yelp community.
PS. I read all the reviews before making my decision and was interested in knowing about the kind of bad review 1A Copper -Repiping had and asked Ricardo himself about it and to my surprise he told me had ended up doing that job and the owner was very satisfied for the work he performed and he thinks that the owner writing the bad review probably meant to mention a different company and inadvertently mention Ricardo's company.

sincerely,
roman

Our 30 year old, 6-unit condo building desperately needed a re-piping job. Owners/HOA had been spending a lot of money repairing leaks, water damage, etc. The large apartment building next door used A1 Copper to replace their piping and referred them. John Sayeski walked our property and provided a detailed plan/cost to re-pipe the building. Marc Amezcua and his crew did an amazing job replacing the drainage, sewage and water pipes. Jose and his drywall crew expertly patched up all the interior drywall and exterior stucco holes made to access the plumbing. The crews cleaned up all work areas after each days' work and interruption to water and toilets, etc. was kept to a minimum and clearly communicated through every step of the project. If you're in the need of re-piping no matter where you live in So Cal, give John a call at (562) 719-3905 to get a proposal! Re-piping is all they do!

This was a mixed experience for me. Range quoted was less than a couple other bids. Prompt responses from Marcela and mostly prompt from Marc, but it felt like I had to chase him a bit to get it scheduled. Also, invoice was $75 more than discussed and it didn't show as being tax. I haven't seen the work yet, so I'll update if it is especially good or bad.

We received quotes from 6 different companies to re-pipe our house. The owner came out personally to review our project - he was very honest and thorough, provided great ideas to fix two other issues (getting hot water faster to two areas of our house and fixing a low pressure issue when our sprinklers run). Although his quote wasn't the lowest, it was fair. His teams are amazing - they listen to concerns and address accordingly. I WAS glad we were in the area and checked up on things throughout the day - there were a couple things they needed to address that would have been left out had we not been there - but they were all addressed without issue. At the end, there was a punch list of small things to be addressed, but again, they did so without issue. The city inspector commented on how well the plumbing work was done - at that point there was no doubt we made the right choice! We had one more issue with a low flow pump that was installed making a noise. One of the staff members came out to assess, agreed it shouldn't be making a noise, and will come back to fix it. The office manager phoned just the other day to make sure this concern and the patch work was done correctly. I was amazed at the amazing follow-up. I would hire A1 Copper again in a heartbeat. Very thorough and doesn't cut corners. I feel confident this investment will last. Thank you!!

Just wanted to give a shout out for A1 Re-piping and to Ricardo and David. They did an excellent job repiping / rerouting my 7-unit building. Their quote came in better priced than the other competing re-piping companies. They are very easy to deal with from start to finish. Ricardo addressed all my questions very well before, during and after project completion. David and his re-piping crew were courteous, respectful and on time. They kept the units clean at the end of each day. Re-piping was completed in 3 days as promised. Main water line was available to the tenants daily with only minimal stoppage when they switched the main line to the new pipes. They arranged the city permits, inspection and sign-off. The 2nd crew patched the acoustic ceiling and walls behind the water heater closets, kitchen cabinets, the bedroom closets, behind the ovens and refrigerators for each unit. They patched the walls and ceiling in the laundry room even the stucco in the exterior walls and ceilings. I'm glad to have found this business! Outstanding job! Thank you!

A1 Copper Repipe was recommended for our copper repipe by a good friend in another aspect of the plumbing business. We are completely satisfied.

Our trouble was low pressure and long wait times for hot water, plus hot showers going c-c-c-cold when any other faucet was used in the house. Now we have a completely replaced system with a tankless unit that is supplying all the hot water we need all the time, very quickly. Hurray!

Ricardo and his crews were here on time, as promised, every phase of the project. I especially appreciated his candor about what to expect going forward. We will make sure we service the tankless heater as instructed.

We are pleased to get new shower fixtures as part of the project including reconfiguring the pipes in one bathroom and having the kitchen sink faucet moved.

Very prompt, excellent work, definitely know who to call for our future plumbing needs. I highly recommend ""Repipe Ricardo"". Thank you for a job well done!

Ricardo, Brian, Marcella and their whole crew were amazing. It was a big job that included getting into the walls as well as under the house. The drywall job was done perfectly and their clean up was immaculate. Although I hope we never need them again, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend them.

We had pin hole leaks in our home's 25 year old type M copper pipe. Talked to 4 repiping companies and selected John Sayeski due to his experience, his ideas around our home's plumbing issues, projected schedule, inclusion of dry wall patching, and an excellent referral from a friend who had used A1.
John came on time for each appointment. He promised a 3 day job: one day to repipe, one day for inspection, and a third day for dry wall patching. Everything went according to schedule. The dry wall patch job was beautifully done. We could not have been more pleased with A1 Copper Repipe service. Thanks, John!

I needed a full gas line re-pipe and took my time to call in 4 estimates to assess and price the job. The first estimate, from a licensed plumber I've had good experiences with, was $6,350. The second estimate came from another licensed contract plumber referred to me by the regional gas department supervisor (who had come out to assess our leak issue) and their estimate came in at $10,500. Another re-pipe specialist I found on Yelp came in at $7850. A 1 Copper repipe came in at $17,900!!!!! When I saw their estimate I practically spit my coffee on my computer Jon-Ritter-Three's-Company-Style.

Add in a $19,500 estimate for a plumbing re-pipe they provided I've since had estimated by two plumbers at 12K and another at 9K and you can get an idea of these guys' pricing. I mean they had the NERVE to give me an contract for $37,400!!!!! as if I was going to sign that and give them that kind of money for these jobs.....seriously?

Needless to say I had the first company do the job for the 6K. They had it done in 1.5 days, were super clean and respectful and it passed city inspection in flying colors at 1/3 the price of A 1 Copper Repipe. When you have a job and you take your time off work to meet someone for an estimate you want to know you are getting a fairly priced estimate for your time. This was not my experience with A 1.
