Summary:PLEASE READ TO THE END. I paid $600 to have a kitchen drain uncloged and a small pipe leak fixed, but I still had a clogged drain. $400 for the clog and $200 for the leak. So I paid $400 for nothing. I ended up going with another plumber (one way rooter and plumbing in the Long Beach area) and it was uncloged within 10 Minutes for a FRACTION OF THE PRICE! Save your money and time, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Here is the kicker. The new plumber I used snaked the drain just like Ron did for much less time and guess what? It worked. This tells me one of two things. He either did not know what he was doing, or they were trying to get more money out of me. Either way, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

First post: Used their services. Paid $400 and 2 days later I noticed the drain is still clogged. Called and they are trying to charge me more to fix it. I do not know much about plumbing but for $400, I expect the drain to be unclogged, that much I know.

Update: I called again and spoke to the person in charge. He was very standoff-ish. I explained to him that I had paid $400 when they snaked the drain, but since it did not work that I think I should get a discount on the hydro jetting. He said he would charge me $450 for this service and that this was at a discounted rate. I do not believe this and if this was the case, this would have brought the total amount of money I would have paid them to $850 to unclog a sink drain!!! This is excessive and unjust. This total would have been on top of the $200 I paid them to fix a small leak, if we put that together the total would have been $1,050 to fix a small leak and unclog a drain? Total rip off, they should have worked with me and given me an ACTUAL discount and had me pay the difference on what I had already paid. That is what any good business would have done, but apparently the customer does not matter. Save yourself your hard earned money and go with a plumbing business that stands behind their work and is not trying to rip you off at every corner.

I still have a backed up drain and am now out $400 with nothing to show for it. I am beyond upset.

FINAL UPDATE: HAD ANOTHER PLUMBER COME OUT AND SNAKED THE DRAIN. HE WAS DONE WITHIN 10 MINUTES. DRAINS LIKE A CHARM. SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO WITH A RELIABLE PLUMBER THAT WILL NOT TRY TO RIP YOU OFF.

A-1 Best Plumbing really helped us out in an emergency. After our property management company failed to help us after hours we called A-1 late on a Saturday night and they came within an hour. Our shower was overflowing with sewage and the crew was able to stop the flow, clean out the mess, snake the drain, clean up the bathroom, and gave us a full report for our property management company. (Main line in the building is malfunctioning.) They worked so hard and were here until after midnight in the middle of a heat wave. Thank you so much for helping to stop the sewage overflow into the apartment!!!

I should have checked the work before they left but I had to get cash to pay or get charged 3% card convenience. The work took longer than expected and I had roofers arrive. The worker had to go 2 times to Home Depot for parts and tools. I saw the new hardware and assumed it would function as before minus the dribble leak.

All I needed was a small leak fixed. My shower worked fine and water ran fine, I should have left it alone. Now after they replaced all 3 valves and broke tiles to remove one valve. They have no one to send over until tomorrow. I paid $504 for new hardware installation and can't even shower now.

I'm disappointed. Feel taken advantage of.


UPDATE:
The owner Vince called and text several times trying to do everything he could to make it right. He even offered to send someone to repair the tile. Which really meant a lot. The issue was resolved the day after. Debris had made it into the shower head causing a blockage. Fortunately it was a quick fix, and it will keep getting better as I clean the shower head periodically ensure all the debris makes it out.

Recently, my shower controls broke and A1 came out to fix it. They were incredibly polite, helpful and got the job done as fast as they could. It was incredibly stressful because I am working from home now but they came in safely and efficiently and it made one less thing for me to worry about.

Unfortunately, the services I received from them fell below my expectations. What should have been a fairly straightforward job, turned into a big headache and stretched out longer than I had hoped. They also forgot to check their work before they left the first day and as a result I had a flood under my kitchen sink from an incorrectly installed garbage disposal. The dishwasher knockout hadn't been removed and when I ran my dishwasher, the counter, floor and under the sink flooded. They forgot to plug in the dishwasher after doing emergency repairs over a weekend at my moms house too.

Debris from the angle stop installation clogged the bath faucet screen and master bath shower head which wasn't immediately evident but we eventually figured it out and got those fixtures working again. My issue was that they didn't trouble shoot their work before they left and instead of just acknowledging that and moving on, there was yet another lengthy explanation.

They provided us with a small discount for our trouble.

On a positive note, the plumbing finally seems to be working fine. And they wore face masks.

It was not an easy, efficient or smooth process and I would be sure to inquire about who he is sending out and make sure that they check their work carefully before they leave.

I'm a fellow business owner and it felt like at every turn the business owner had an explanation or excuse instead of just listening and hearing what his customer was saying. By the end of the experience, I was incredibly frustrated and upset at the whole situation.

I've also just learned that the owner made inappropriate comments to our in-home caregiver during the emergency repairs at my mother's house. This just adds insult to injury.

Best plumbing service I've ever had and heres why. I called in and spoke to the operator and told her I have a running water that wont turn off. She politely tried to get me going by getting a quote for parts and labor. Immediately she transferred me to Vincent which he was very professional and gave me a very good deal and deal was better than any other plumber that I had called that day. So Vincent had an on call person ""Steve"" to show up and he had called me within an hour. To me that's very fast, responsive, and communicative. Upon his arrival, Steve went above and beyond his measure to get this squared away before it floods by shutting the valve where I cant locate in a business foundation. He really went out his way to help me and really made my day, thank you Steve!!! He fixed it fast in no time none of that jibberish stuff.

After being asked twice, by the owner, to remove my review, I agreed to update it.

As I explained to Victor, the owner, I was unhappy with their service. They came out, spent a lot of time trying a few different methods, and suggesting some very costly procedures. They were unsuccessful at clearing the clog, but didn't hesitate to charge us for their time. We paid. The next plumber came out and cleared the clog in an hour. Of course I got irritated and expressed it in my review.

So there's my update. Take it for what it's worth.

I spent 6 weeks waiting for a company my home warranty sent out to fix a major plumbing issue. We're taking black pipes leaking all over creating a pond in our crawl space.
I contacted Vince and he and his team were out the following day. They reassessed the problem, had a plan of action and had my house back in working order within 2 days. Fast forward 6 weeks and I am still dealing with the same warranty company on getting me my reimbursement. You would think this doesn't pertain to my review, but it does.
Vince and Ana have helped me time and again to help make sure that I am provided with the appropriate refund from my home warranty. They don't need to do this and I personally feel indebted to them because of 1. the hard work and long hours they initially put in to fix the problem but also 2. The fact that they have helped me with problems not related to them. They are an amazing company,
honest, quick and thorough. They go above and beyond to make sure their clients are happy. I highly recommend them to anyone with even the smallest issues needing repairs or fixing. You can't go wrong with A1 best plumbing
