Love this company! We had them install a new system for us when ours died a few years ago. A#1 accidentally installed the wrong type of duct work for our city's code, and when we told about their mistake, they replaced all of the duct work in less than 24 hours for free. Could not recommend them more. Lacking the final star because no matter how many times we ask them to call our cell phone numbers instead of the home phone when they are on the way, they always call home. If our A/C is out, do you think we'd be sitting in our hot house?

Disaster diverted!!!! AC went out last night and the temp is suppose to get to 105 tomorrow. No worries, mine was fixed today in no time. Called last night and made appt.for today and done! Plus, it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Great customer service. Wouldn't use anyone else!!!

This company does not keep appointments. They have to reschedule three times due to "lack of technicians". Why am I paying them for monthly fees when they cannot keep their scheduled appointments. They gave you a 3-4 hour window but technician won't show then wait for two months for the next available appointment. Don't waste your time and money.

After calling to simply schedule an Emergency Appointment with A#, they said I had to have a credit card on file for them to show up, but no problem we can see you today. I said You cant just take it over the phone? NO Sir! okay here is my email address to send the forms to. I said "please have it here quickly because I have to leave in 15 min," they say we will have it to you right away. 15 minutes passes and no forms. I called them back 20 min later and they said "oh we are sorry we can send them now." I said I have already left for appointment and i am on the road. They said they HAD to have these form, so I turn around and drive back to see an email BUT it has no forms to fill out that should be attached to the email. SO i call back AGAIN and they get the finally get forms over to me, I fill them out and send them back right away. Call back 15 minutes later and they conform they got them and then say oh we are booked and cant come until tomorrow afternoon. 2 hours of my day wasted... Called another local Farmers Branch company and they were here in an hour and fixed me right up.. So paying a high priced spokes person makes you cool? Just a friendly tip A#1, Stick to providing SERVICE and not trying to be something you shouldn't be.. Get cha some of that!! WHEEEWW

Guys, don't repeat my mistake: I saw the crappy yelp reviews, and thought, "Eh, i just need a little a.c. tuneup. How could they mess that up?" and called A#1 anyway. So their tech arrives, checks out our system and tells me my unit (which is less than five years old) is on its last legs, and recommends $4200 in repairs. (!!!) That insane amount can be explained by this conversation:

Me: Could you install a nest thermostat?
Tech: sure. It'll be $292. Should only take me 10 minutes.
Me: wow. I wish i made $292 in ten minutes
Tech: Oh, i don't see any of that; I work on commission.

Gee, never would have guessed. So basically I paid $99 to get the hard sell. Be ye not so stupid! The company I called next (whose employees do not work on commission btw) came out and showed me photo evidence that several of the problems the A#1 tech had told me about were complete fabrications. Plus they installed the nest for just $85.

The company called to confirm the appointment and then called when they realized the technician would be delayed--Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because he was late. Everything else was wonderful!!
Mr. Li Chen was the technician assigned to do the 1 year inspection on our 1 y.o. evaporator. The visit was included in the original installation cost. We found Li to be very pleasant, extremely courteous, and knowledgeable. We felt he was very thorough and watched as he examined all the different parts. We asked so many questions and "looked over his shoulder" and he explained everything and didn't act as if he minded us doing so. We would like to highly recommend this gentlemen's service and the company he works for. We can say they were not the first we called, but they will be the last. This was our 2nd experience with this company. The first representative saved us thousands of dollars. We had called "Milestone" and been told we needed a whole new system, which in our case, wasn't so. Both representatives/techs never tried to "sell" us things we didn't need. I so appreciate that!

After about an hour at my house Jon said the cost for the leak detection service was $438. Jon said the best repair solution was to tunnel under the slab in the kitchen and the laundry room at a repair cost of $5500. Jon left without turning the hot water back on. The repair cost estimate seemed extremely high, and did not make a lot of sense. If Jon were right, then there must be a third leak near the outside faucet. The following week, I asked a competitor company to also perform the leak detection service. After two hours of work, using compressed air and the electronic listening devices, the competitor company's technician announced he had found the leak in the water line servicing the outside faucet, and there was no leak in the laundry room, nor the kitchen. Furthermore, one repair option did not require digging tunnels underneath the foundation, which would destabilize the foundation. The repair was done on 16 May 2016 at a much lower cost than $5500.
I believe A#1 Air Plumbing had every intent to defraud and rip me off. If my treatment was the result of incompetence, then the State of Texas should revoke their license to perform plumbing services, until they demonstrate the skills needed to perform such services. I asked A#1 Air Plumbing to refund my payment for the faulty location service. Thus far, they have shown no serious interest in working out a resolution. Based on other reviews I have seen relative the fraudulent practices of this company, it is unclear how and why they are listed in the 2016 Collin County Best Picks Report. We will be trying to better understand why that is the case.

If you need repairs, they are going to break their back to sell you a replacement. They will criticize your judgement. You will get a quote on the phone for repairs only to find out it's considerably more. My quote was $988. When the tech got here, the same morning as receiving the 988 quote, it had become $1,200. When it's 94 degrees outside and your AC fails, they act like they have you over a barrell. Forget their b.s. "we treat our customers like family." That is totally false.

The absolute worst scheduling and communication I have ever dealt with. Bought a $7,300 dollar unit from them, was told that it would be installed the next morning. I took off of work so I could at home in the morning to let them in. Got a phone call at 10am saying they were looking for my equipment. The installers showed at up 4pm. First thing they told me "we are not going to be able to finish this whole job today." They installed half of the job and left my house at 9pm and told me to reschedule a day to get the rest finished.

I called this morning and was told that they could come out today to finish the job, after 3pm to accommodate my schedule. So I cleared my schedule....big surprise, I get a phone call at 4pm to let me know that they will not be there and I need to find another day to reschedule. Wont be doing business with them ever again.
