I would not recommend this company. I called yesterday and let them know i needed an entire unit and all new duct work i was called around 10pm and was told someone would call the next day for the appointment . They called early and scheduled I advised it had to be before 2 i was called 4 times by 4 different people reassuring me someone would be here. I waited hours finally i called them and they told me i might need to call another company because they cant get out to me by 2 after i sat here for hours and was assured someone would be here, Their customer service sucks.

DO NOT USE A#1. Every other review about them coming to service AC and then the tech trying to tell you something else is wrong, usually quoting $1k+, has absolutely been my experience. Every 6 months someone has come and told me something is wrong, something really expensive to fix, but they couldn't tell me why the previous person didn't see it.

They are liars and rip off artist.

I went with them because they are big and have crews 24/7. They have been OK, but what I don't like and the reason I will look for someone smaller is the following.

1) When they come for an inspection, they always find problems and multi $K solutions.
2) Can't answer why the crew 6 months ago didn't see the same problems - I am not talking about things that wear out
3) The guys who do inspections are sales & technical guys. They are compensated to find problems
4) The inspectors state they will be back to do the job and make sure everything is done right, but A1 doesn't send them back unless you complain. Someone else gets the job & work.

Called A #1 Air Monday because we had no heat. We were told they'd send someone out. By 9:45pm, no one showed or called. Finally got someone out the next day. The technician was your typical slimy salesperson who tried ever pitch and hard close in the book. After looking at our unit for all of 5 min, he proceeds to tell us its the blower. He can fix it for $1k but we really need a whole new unit, it's only $20k and it's okay because we offer financing. Needless to say, he was unable to close the deal but we were out $60 for nothing and still no heat. We called another company who sent someone out the same day. $140 and an easy fix later, we had heat.
Dont make the same mistake we did...do yourself a favor and read the reviews including the reviews that aren't recommended. It is clear as day why this company has such a low rating.

The technician was very friendly. He did a pretty good job. We replaced a very expensive 3 year old automatic faucet because the handle was loose. I know it can be repaired but I guess they don't repair those. It's a Moen and under warranty but I didn't have the receipt. So He said I had to buy another one from them for $700. He did a great job installing it. It's just not as nice as the one he took out. I really wanted to keep the other one but he cut all the lines. I specifically asked him to save it. I was also told the club agreement was $24 a month, left my credit card with my wife , when I came back he set it up for $48 a month on my card. We also had 2 toilet flappers replaced , $150 each. That part went well. My toilets stopped running.

JOSHUA PRATHER along with IVAN MAR CABRALES and NICHOLAS EVANS replaced the upstairs ducting which I knew was bad along with replacing the vent covers and performed general service on my HVAC system. The team worked quickly and efficiently completing the job with outstanding results. A#1 Air has a very well trained service group with a very courteous administration department. I have been dealing with this company since June 2017 and it has been a nightmare! I requested general maintenance check on my unit in a recently purchased home. Two polite gentleman came out to my home and the next thing I knew my AC unit located in the attic is shaking the ceiling. I get photos of build up in my unit and stories that they can't even finish maintenance check because they don't think the unit will turn on again.... And that's how the scam started. Fast forward to paying 20K for a "efficient up to 21 Seer" unit that failed inspection by the city because they neglected to place the Freon caps - I have a dog - thank goodness no Freon spill and my dog didn't die in this nightmare. And a miss duct installation that I caught that caused condensation to pour through the walls of my house - they installed a supply line that should have been a return line. All of the errors on the initial installation took two services guys over 8 hours to correct. Now I see the model number installed based on Lennox website goes up to 16.5 seer not 21. Sales manager tried to tell me they installed the right unit even though everything he tells me is opposite of Lennox. So basically they installed a lower unit and hoped a single female wouldn't notice and scammed me 3K but I already feel scammed of 20K because I doubt I needed a new unit in the first place. I really just want them to come and remove everything and let me hire someone with integrity to take care of my home.

DO NOT use this business.! This company has been at my house three time this year attempting to fix my heat. Each time they fixed the heat worked for a few months. Then they came out to do the winter service my heat was work fine, the tech said you have no issues all is good. Right after the tech left the heat would not come on. They sent out another tech the next day saying the entire system needed to be replaced. Then after call them again to ask why this happen I was told they could send a senior tech that could troubleshoot my system correctly. The quote they give me for replacement was way over priced five time higher then other companies. I had my heat replaced by another vendor and it works great. This company is all PR they have nice wraps on the trucks and spend a ton on marketing. But the technical ability of there staff I have to question! I would not recommend this company to any one.

started off well then service deteriorated-lack of support, help, reliability-hands down awful awful awful-after more than 5 yrs with them they have really made me feel used and abused- wouldnt wish that on anyone esp after spending *$20K! i even tried reaching out for help but got turned down completely

update- have had customer relations dealing along the way as well. twice in fact- esp in last 15 months- given offer to complete my platinum plan. twice. Thats how much and how bad the problemsI was having with the service. then when trying to use it (plan) was told it expired. spoke to sO many people and didn't really get any help.

update: noticed my review is gaining votes. sad but i feel all of your pain. not one finger has been lifted to initiate trying to help my issues as i was going through them. a#1 you're a#last in my book. you tout someone will reach out please. never once has anyone helped me. i had to call and call and talk to sO many people to get my issues/concerns attended. then, i was treated with disrespect and blown off. really thank you for your services. dfw patrons-stay away
