Total ripoff! I have them come to service the furnace at my office and they pulled out a carbon monoxide sniffer instead and declared my 5 year old furnace was cracked and must be shut off in the dead of winter. They extorted $4500 from us there. At my home, I mistakenly called them to replace a leaking valve on my combo-furnace/hot water heater. Surprise! Using the same sniffer, I was told my furnace has to be shut off due to ""dangerous levels of CO"" and that I should give them $10,000 to replace it. I called someone else and I had it fixed in one day for less than $500. NEVER let them into your place of business or home they are scammers!!

We have had very good experiences with Cartwright's -- once to put in a floor heater and recently to deal with some frozen pipes. They come when they say they will, are friendly, and do good work.

This used to be a glowing review of the company. There must have been some changes because there are some huge problems now. I really hope this company can get their act together and avoid some of the traps that other plumbing companies in Santa Fe have succumbed to.

Last year we had Cartwright's out to bring our heater up to code and to get it working. The technician that came out was very good and did a great job of fixing up the issues. We were really happy, even though the charge was really high.

This year we had Cartwright's out again to service our unit. After looking at the heater for 10 minutes he declared that it was unserviceable and needed to be replaced due to ""multiple code violations."" I called the company and asked them how I could be charged 1/3 of a new heater last year to fix the problems, then this year we had multiple violations. They sent another technician out, who did a series of tests and then declared that the unit was fine. He just needed to pick up another part in the morning then would stop by first thing. The final tech started to install the new part, then also declared that the unit was unserviceable due to code violations. The same code violations that were purportedly fixed last year by them.

In the end we decided to replace the unit. We did some shopping, and in 3 days we had six quotes to choose from. Even with the ""discount"" from Cartwright for their previous errors, they came in well above all the other quotes to install the exact same furnace in our house.

Buyer beware: If your unit is not perfectly new looking they will be looking to sell you a new heater. If you do end up deciding to replace it, do some shopping first. We were able to save $1200 by getting others quotes.

Awful service! Late! Damaged our roof. When I complained, they dropped the F bomb! Told them to leave. Call someone with integrity and professionalism.
