My house unfortunately had a leaking sink and a drain that needed a little plumbers putty added. Normally I would do it myself but unfortunately, my time has been very minimal lately. I saw these great reviews on this company and I thought I'd give them a shot. I called the day before and left a voicemail and received a call back promptly. I was explaining that the call system was going a little weird. I scheduled an appointment for the next morning between 9am and 9:30am and I was told that it would be closer to 9:10am and I would get a call before anyone arrived. Well, 9 AM came and went so I called the company. I was informed that they are so sorry. They're trying to find someone to come out because the appointment before me had taking longer. Well, I have to go. Is someone coming out? Yes. OK, so what time will you be coming out? It'll be closer to 11 o'clock don't worry. Ok, I won't be home I told you I have to go. Once again, the 11 o'clock time came and went so again I called the company now the story is slightly changed from the first one, but I am now just needing someone to come out to fix this. Don't worry, don't worry it'll happen at 2 o'clock. Once again time comes and goes. I call again. Hey, what's going on? Well, the person that I want to go to you is tied up but I could send one person out but then he won't be able to fix anything so I think you should wait till the other persons available. OK, once again what time? 3 o'clock don't worry it's gonna be 3 o'clock. Can you guess what happened again?... 3 o'clock comes and goes. I try to call the company again, No answer. I leave a voicemail and everything. By that point in time I'm, calling other companies to try to figure out someone else to come out. At 4:30 I got a call. I'm at your house. I'm like who is this? It's one of their technicians. I was like oh I didn't realize you were going to actually show up but OK, he explains to me he was just told about this job. Well since he's there, can you just go and fix it it's a super easy fix. I unlocked the door remote. You should be out in no time. So he was able to fix the putty in the sink and told me I would need a new faucet. There's nothing he would be able to do for the leak. I asked how much was it $185.... $185 to add putty to a drain... plumbers putty is $3.. he asked me if I would want to install a new faucet or him and I was like well just wondering how much would it be to install new faucet? $185... Wait again $185 just to install a new faucet that I have to buy... No thank you. So of course, at the end they are quick to call to get payment but I needed a little bit of a cool down. Because of what I just ensued. I didn't realize how much money it was going to be prior to the work being done. I think that's wrong. The next morning I receive a phone call from the company, the young lady still very nice. And I explain to her how I felt and how I didn't think that the company handled this in a correct manner. I was given every excuse and reason, but she empathize with my situation, and she said I am going to talk to the owner and we'll figure out something I'll call you back today. Did I get a call back? No... the thing about customer service is making the customer feel validated and not just taken advantage of and unfortunately with the situation I feel as if the company took advantage of the situation. I can't say that anyone was rude or, to be honest, everyone was quite nice. But when words are just words and there's no action behind them, I have an issue with that.

This is by far the best experience I've had with a plumping service! They were quick and knowledgeable and handled everything the same day! I was so happy with the service. Definitely will use them again if needed and HIGHLY recommend!

Regarding AY Plumbing Lauderdale by the Sea. I wish I could leave no stars ...... I would love to be able to leave a review for this company but unfortunately I never met them. I had a scheduled visit for 10:30 am feb 27th, they rang and told me the plumber was running behind. I said no problem I will be in all day, at 4:30 I left a message which was immediately responded to and told the plumber was sick, they rescheduled for 12pm 28th - today. At 12:30 I was called to be informed they weren't going to send anyone out at all! I am very disappointed and annoyed that it has been such an utter waste of time. Pretty unprofessional apart from the chap who answers the phone.
