Recommended Customer Reviews

I would give a negative 1 if I could!!! Terrible customer service!!!! Rude people and super difficult to work with. They give you an 8hour window of they arrival time a week after you call. They call you 30 min before hey arrive and if you don't answer and call them back within 10 minutes they cancel your appointment. I never write reviews but this company's customer service is terrible!! The plumber was nice though!

Zero stars please!!! I had the same experience with this company being recommend through my home warranty company. They came out and told me the work that needed to be done would not be covered under the warranty. So I went ahead and paid $500 out of pocket for them to fix a leaking toilet and after they said it was fixed and left it started leaking again. When I called them, the woman on the phone was extremely RUDE and said they did what the work order said they were supposed to do so it's not their fault and if she sends someone out there I would need to pay for any work they had to do...even though I had already paid to have them fix it ion the first place. Luckily my brother is a home builder and so he sent some of his plumbers out to look at it. They told me that A+ had just replaced the flange, but a flange that was too small, nor did they seal it or replace the pipe connection and therefore the toilet was still overflowing and leaking through to the ceiling below. So basically I paid $500 for nothing and am now paying other plumbers to come and fix it properly. Do not use this company, it was a horrible experience.

I have had this company out to my house twice through my home warranty company. Shame on me!
The first time was ok, it was a minor toilet issue. Not a big deal. But I told my Home Warranty company that I did not want them back out because they came un-uniformed, no ID's and didn't really seem, to know what they were doing.
So when I had the knob on my tub break, I called my Home Warranty again. They gave me A+ Value Rooter again and I said I wanted a new vendor due to the issues I listed above as well as the horrid reviews on Yelp. When I was told they were my only option through the warranty company, I agreed to have them come.
The men who came this time were again un-uniformed, and no ID's. One guy definitely seemed lost at what he was doing (New on the job perhaps) and the other guy was on crutches and even mentioned he was making up for lost wages.
The man on crutches was the one in charge and he took a look at my faucet knob. Keep in mind, my house is 6 yrs old and I am the original owner. It's the large tub in the master which rarely gets used and the problem was that one night when I went to turn the water on I heard a click as I began to turn the knob and then it was loose and the water would not come on as I turned it further. I knew the knob was probably cracked on the inside but had no idea how to fix it myself. That's why I have the warranty.
The plumber called my home warranty company right in front of me and he said he had to check and see if it would be covered because it seemed to him that it was broken due to over use or abuse. I argued with him and he proceeded to tell my Home Warranty company this at which they declined to cover the service allowing him to charge me $165 vs my contracted $60 service call for warranty repair.
I told him that if it wasn't covered he might as well leave until I straighten things out with the warranty company. He seemed shocked at my demand. But I explained that I disagreed with his opinion of the cause of the issue and that he had no basis for his diagnosis.
I have called my Home Warranty company to report what happened and expect a call back from management by Monday. I will happily report back what they tell me as I am eager to write a review on them as well. But my guess is that this guy was obviously trying to negate the warranty on the service needed in an effort to make more money. Hopefully making me feel like I was obligated to use him since he was sitting in my bathroom. But to his ignorant dismay, the issue was on a non-essential part of my home and I can happily wait another month if I need to for repair as well to shed light on his unethical business practices.

They should get negative stars..... These people were deliberately trying to gouge as much money as possible. They were being paid by American Home Shield to replace the hot water heater. They came up with over $900 in additional charges. They even lied about some of the Code Requirements and work that had to be done.... The person that answers their phone has the Customer Service personality of a rude angry teenager. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

Can I give zero stars? Is this possible? Today I discovered that the broken handle situation was dripping all night thanks to the plumber not turning the interior mechanism all the way back off after he looked at it. I'm wondering if he was hoping I'd see it, panic, and just pay to have them do the work right away.
Fortunately I have a plumber's wrench to turn the thing, but this is just beyond silly. All he had to do was turn the thing with a wrench; you'd almost have to make this "mistake" on purpose.
He also seemed to slice a piece of the cartridge off by applying pressure, so now the handle mechanism is more damaged than when he found it and he said nothing. This may be the scummiest company I've ever interacted with.

Absolutely horrible. My hot water heater (that THEY installed) was leaking into my kitchen. I called Saturday...on the answering machine they say they will return the call within the hour. NOPE. They never called back. I called them Monday and was told they could have someone out WEDNESDAY. At some time, couldn't even give me a window of time... keep in mind, this is obviously an issue with the installation. Horrible business. Horrible customer service and absolutely no integrity or pride in their work. NEVER AGAIN.

I called AHS my home warranty company on Mon 3/2/15 that I had a stoppage in my kitchen sink and was paired with A+ Value Rooter I received my confirmation from AHS and later that day I got a call to schedule the service =, the earliest would be Wed when I asked a time frame I was told by them, that I needed to call on Tues after 3:30 when the schedules would be completed.
Tues @ 4:15 I called and was told I was the 1st stop but they have a meeting on Wednesday's but the techs should be out by 8:30 and since they were coming from Belton it should be around 9:30-10:00 well no one showed and I waited till 11:00 when I finally called and asked where they were Lisa told me I was misinformed about the arrival time that the tech actually started in Round Rock and would not get to Pflugerville till later in the day.
I informed her that I needed to go to work and she did not offer any help, a call would have been nice but I guess that wouldn't happen from all the negative reviews they have regarding customer service.
I called back AHS and explained to them what happened and asked them to cancel my appointment and that I better not be charged a fee and asked why they have a company like this when the reviews are so bad she did not give an answer.

They were recommended to me by my realtor, but their customer service didn't live up to my expectations. I scheduled them to come and put a treatment through the waste lines because I was told they had a lot of build up. They called a day before the scheduled appointment and said they were out of the chemical and cancelled. I appreciate the cancellation, and they called me back 3 weeks later that the product was back in stock now. During that call I made an appointment for the next Wednesday when I could work from home. By noon that day I hadn't heard from them so I gave them a call to get an ETA. They didn't even have my appointment in their system and the receptionist that took the appointment wasn't working for them anymore so they couldn't check. They assured me an agent would be able to still come out but they never showed. Even after I called them a couple times in the afternoon in which they assured me he would arrive that day, he never showed up. This is a $250 treatment and dealing with this low level of professionalism is not worth the price tag.

Worst plumbing service ever! If I could give them a zero rating I would. Will never accept service from them through American Home Shield again. It all started with the original call to them after 48 hours not hearing from them via AHS. They said their phone lines and their computers were down. Should have known then that they were trouble. Service tech finally arrived, popped the shower drain, asked us for a wire coat hanger to pull clogged hair in the drain, and then he wouldn't treat the clog saying that treatment wasn't covered as long as water was flowing (which I found out later should have been covered). Instead he SOLD us a biological natural drain opener and cleaner that he convincingly said was the best thing out there and that it was not commercially available in stores or online. I found later that the product is easily available and at less than 1/3 what he charged us. Tried to return the unopened product and was told that I could not by 'Mercy' the manager. What an appropriate name... mercy my tush.

Terrible customer service. Take your money elsewhere. The owner, who dropped the ball on my expedited service order, never returned my calls. And the receptionist had the personality of an affected teenager who couldn't be bothered with basic customer service etiquette. I hope American Home Shield rethinks their contract.
