Recommended Customer Reviews

I was forced to use this company through Kitchenaid warranty program and I regret it so much. I have never seen a company as rude and lacking customer service as Unimaster. I can only hope the management reads these reviews because the service was atrocious. The woman on the phone was rude, her attitude was as if I disturbed her during her vacation, she had no patience and kept putting me on hold every few seconds. After the technician came over, I was told I would get a call back to schedule a new appointment... 8 DAYS LATER... NO CALL. And her excuse was ""you were on the list, we just didn't get to call you yet"". I will write to Kitchenaid asking them to drop this company as their service provider. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Unfortunately, we had no power over using Unimaster. Had we been given the option, we would have gone with a more reputable company based on the reviews below. If you have the option STAY AWAY.
Our home warranty hired this company to come out and fix our broken water heater. They wouldn't perform the work without us using another company to rebuild the platform that our water heater was sitting on - $2K out of pocket to a company THEY recommended. (THAT in itself was sketchy...). F*** it, we needed hot water...sure. The worst part of the work was how many people we needed to schedule with and talk to within this company to get anything done. A scheduler, a plumber, an account manager and two others - I had NO idea who I was speaking with or needed to call back. I started saving names into my phone with their ""title"" so I knew who I was talking with.

There Tied together with a insure company fraud!!!!!! Horrible service really rude technician did a survey on my water heater in 3 minutes on my water heater and rushed out and said it couldn't fixed or replaced because it was leaking and made many false things about it there working together with insurance company ripping many people of beware there scam artists

Hot water heater was not working, pilot was not lighting. Expansion tank was leaking onto water heater. We called our home warranty they told us someone from unimaster would call us tomorrow and come by between eight and 12:00 Mullen showed up at 8:00am, he was not very talkative however he did a very professional job, removed the expansion tank and got the hot water heater working. He cleaned up the water in it that had leaked all over and inside the water heater. He was quick and did a very good job. Not the most polite but not rude in any way. I believe English was his second language which may be why he wasn't so talkative. All in about 30-45 minutes. I will call them again if I have any water heater problems.

Inept! And that's being generous.
The reviews here are 100% accurate. I read them ahead of time and was bracing for disappointment...
The plumber missed the first appointment, late for the second, and spent less than 10 minutes diagnosing.
Arrived in unmarked car, plain street clothes, and had the manners of a mongoose.
A water heater was leaking and he did such a poor job inspecting (no ladder, no flashlight) that Helen Keller would put him to shame!
The worst part is he started tugging one of the gas lines around like it was obstructing the view. The units are in plain sight and he could have torn the gas line.
5 mins into the diagnosis, I get a estimate with over $500 in modifications. Gas line, drip pan, marked up 1,000%. I asked him what's with the mods and prices... He mumbled these are uncovered charges and walked away. I just shut the garage door and PASSED. The units were eventually replaced by a reputable contractor that spent time to diagnose and talk through the repair process. Paid more but it is well worth the peace of mind.
The reviews are true. Owner don't care, workers care even less, and the insurance company is equally careless!

Beware of this company. They are rude and fraud. They have tie up with home warranty company and they literally force you to pay the charges without giving details and all the parts they sell are 5 time expensive than the market price.
Don't make them to enter your home unless you want to throw away some money.

Unimaster was referred by my homeowner's insurance to replace a failed water heater. Unfortunately for me, not only was the water heater leaking, but the shutoff valve was faulty, so time was of the essence.
It took insurance nearly 7 days from the time we made the call to having an appointment booked with Unimaster. Unfortunately, we were called by Unimaster and informed on the appointment day that the technician was sick, and would have to reschedule for the following day.
After another cold shower, I received the unfortunate news that the water heater that had been ordered by Unimaster did not meet the specifications and standards required for my home. They did, however, perform a visual inspection at the time and informed us of the work that would need to be done - all of which I had anticipated, such as replacement of the gas line, water feed and valve, flute, etc.
On day 11, Unimaster received the correct water heater, and arrived on day 12 to perform the installation.
Now, after 12 days, I was rather annoyed at the entire situation, and ultimately worried, especially after looking at the reviews here on Yelp, the company's status with the BBB, and the fact they had to reschedule twice - but on the day of installation, the technicians were professional, friendly, and worked quickly yet efficiently, and did an absolutely stellar installation. Their work was top notch and I was very impressed and completely satisfied.
There may be some things going on with the company in terms of administration or management that are hindering the technicians from performing their work, but the ones that visited my home were excellent and I have absolutely nothing to say about them personally or the labor they performed. I'd recommend Unimaster (or at the very least, their technicians) if you have a repair or job that doesn't need to be performed immediately - they'll get it done right, although it might take them a few days to get there.
I ultimately blame the problems encountered not only by myself, but by other reviewers, on homeowner's insurance being slow and incompetent, and (possibly) the company's owners mismanagement. My review is only 4 stars because the work was performed, and performed well, and I am ultimately satisfied with the outcome.

No way will I ever let that company into my house again. All the reviews are exactly what happened to me. They were sent out from Jenn Aire and Fergusons for a defect. Sent pictures and made appointment. They cancelled the first and made another one 4 days later., after waiting for an appointment they said they didn't have a serviceman in our area. There here in Escondido ! It was impossible to understand repair man and he would not speak just stared at me ? Errie . Just like the other reviews says. I asked where is the part and he said he was here to take a picture of the model number. We waited for 2.5 weeks. Its now 3 weeks and still they would have to order the part and make another appointment. NO way. All it is the welds broke holding the middle rack. But you can't use the rack because it needs to be tied up to have the spray arm work. The RUDE receptionist could have asked for it before waiting for these incompetent people. She even called us to see how the repair was done on appointment she had canceled. When I called to complain she hung up on me . Very un-professional ! Its a mess. STAY away. There are other repair men out there. I give it more than 5 negative stars.

Unprofessional. Rude. Lazy. The tech came out and spent all of five minutes looking at our water heater only to tell us it was an electrical issue (which it was not) after the electrician came out and confirmed it was in fact the water heater I contacted this company again who couldn't make it a priority to come out and fix the problem they had misdiagnosed! Annnnnd they wanted to send the same guy out! Mind you, this ""professional"" didn't even put coverings on his shoes when walking through my house, he tracked junk all over the floor where my 11 month old crawls and plays! Also, don't expect better service when you call their offices - the angry woman will just answer the phone and shout ""HOLD"" till she's ready to deal with you...

Beware of this company. I would have given it zero stars but apparently that is not an option.
They are affiliated with A-All Services by the way. They came out to fix a handle on my kitchen sink. Made the repair but said the entire faucet needed to be replaced. They would get a approval from home warranty and get back to me. 3 weeks later I call to follow up, receive rude treatment from the receptionist who insisted that the job had been completed. Our home warranty company sent them out again. This time they came with the faucet to swap it out. Unfortunately, before the plumber left, he smeared white caulking around 1/3 of my sink, in a very sloppy gloppy way. It looks dreadful! I took pictures and emailed them to A-All Service as directed by the receptionist over the phone. After a couple of days I received a call and went round and round with a man who insisted that the caulking ""needed to be done but we don't do that type of work"" he assured me that it is an easy clean up for whoever we hire to do the caulking (caulking was not needed and had absolutely nothing to do with the faucet replacement!). When asked why the plumber did any caulking at all if it was out of his scope of expertise, he simply said ""it needed to be done."" Then why did he not do the whole sink and why is it so awful? ""We don't do that type of work."" I wanted to pound my head on the wall. You obviously DO do that type of work because your damn plumber DID and left a bloody mess of my flipping sink.
The point here is that their guy made an ugly mess of my sink and are now telling me I have to hire someone to fix it! So frustrating.
