Home owners beware! I purchased new appliances last year and requested a plumber to install my stove and dishwasher in December 2022. The technician pressured me into purchasing a membership for service and discounts. The technician used TACTICS to consult with his manager to make me feel as if I were getting the best deal possible and taking advantage of me as a first time homeowner. The technician Ted was sloppy across the board. He was lacking professionally, time management, installation process, and mannerism. He wasn't prepared with his equipment, used our tools from our garage, and he made sloppy mistakes with the temperature control. I knew in my heart something wasn't right when he couldn't successfully complete the installation and revisited my home on 3 occasions. December 12th, 14th and 20th in 2022. Even during the sensitive holiday of Christmas, the technician scams clients by feeding """"fear of failing"""" in your home. After the """"complimentary water heater flush service"""" that was forced on me, not even 6 months later I have brown water leaks in my garage with a water heater that had NO prior issues before with no complaints on anything. Update June 2023, I'm forced out of pocket to purchase a new water heater (over $2000) on top of the $2000 service charge in less than 6 month timeframe on an issue I never had before A Total Plumbing tampered with my water heater. My word of advice is to please avoid a total plumbing. They will over sell, under deliver, and damage your property.

Story Still not Finished!!!! January 3 Called and had what they call technician out to a water heater / leak issue. Told that a new water heater was best resolution and we figured that going in because of the date of the original water heater Jan 4 showed up with new water heater and install upstairs. Technician doesn't have a pump to pump the water heater properly so the drainage of the original tank is around 3-4 hours fully using gravity as the catalyst to drain. After 3-4 hours is up the """"New"""" Water heater doesn't fully fit into the original space and we are told the flume work isn't sufficient for the new water heater install. Jan5 Decision is made by us because the total amount is getting close to tankless water heater to go with tankless heater instead of trying to reflute the exhaust and somehow figure fitting the water heater in the current space that wouldn't fit. So tankless is the decision. Jan6 Tankless Water Heater @$7800.00 is started. Starts 8am ends 10pm Technicians have zero parts on hand limited tools and have to go to Atlanta multiple times during entire install process. Tools provided to them by me the customer - Extension Ladder ( for the outside of the house exhausting & moisture drains ) - 1/2inch condensation tubing - hole saw - head lamps for lighting- 10pm Tankless Heater is finished Technicians forget to put screens on the exhaust piping and the drain condensation pipe that is outside the house ( so birds don't nest) also they didn't caulk around the piping of the holes that were drilled and pipes were put through Jan 7-8 So we call this guy named Justin that was heading up this original catastrophe and he now comes out with Technician and looks over the project ( which I was and still am very concerned it was properly done considering the work and unpreparedness of each visit with tools and materials. Screens were put in and Justin himself overlooked the project install stating """" we will get an inspection from city for you """" Jan 20 We called A-Total and asked when our inspection was going to take place. They responded with the city is backed up on inspections so hopefully soon. - Well I'm smarter than that so I call the city to verify the claim they had and lady at the city Dept tells us they are not backed up and an inspection for the work hasn't been called in at all. Thanks Justin for telling me at my house personally you would handle it. Feb 2 - A-Total requests for inspection via text. Ha ha we already asked for an inspection. Thanks Justin Feb 16- personally call A-Total again to speak directly to Justin. 10am. At 4pm still no return call so I call back to speak to him and he's available. He states he never said this that whatever so is what it is but as I'm on the phone the desk lady is now allegedly on with the city inspection people and now making an appointment. She asks when we are available and I say tomorrow. She states we can't guarantee that I say ok then tell me when. She says we will call or email you. I say ok heard this before...... Feb 23 A-Total calls us and ask for our availability. Laughable. We say schedule it and let us know asap. Well here we are almost 2 months later Feb 26 - No inspection has been made ( we've actually called the city because A-Total said the city is backed up with inspections ) and city said they are not backed up and A-Total has not called in for one. Justin personally accountable for this has deceived us along with all office people , Techs and anyone associated with this deceitful company. $7800.00 was quick to swipe. Hope the inspection turns out well. My kids rooms are close to the area installed and we've already had to bury a kid for a different reason but if A-Total is responsible for any reason man I tell ya Fox is also being contacted

**Updating: They contacted us within an hour of my posting the original review. While I still don't agree with the up-selling sales tactics (to use the analogy they gave us; a heart transplant being prescribed for high blood pressure) or inflexible pricing, I do think they care about their customers, and are extremely responsive. Scott, who did the estimate, was on time (early!) and very professional as well. In the end, they fixed my biggest complaint, so giving them back stars for their customer service.** Came out to quote a small leak (not even a drip, just moisture) in a copper pipe junction. Pipe is in an unfinished basement, so fully exposed, not hard to get to. First quoted $21k for a full replumb of my house (LOL!) and then to over $1k to replace what wasn't leaking, then to $699 for the junction piece itself. I asked him how long he thought it would take. He said an hour to an hour and a half. $700! He called his manager who offered me $30 off for being a first time customer. Nice enough people, but I feel like I was cheated out of paying for an estimate ($60) for the absurd price I was quoted.

We woke up to a soggy yard with water gushing out to the street. So we called A Total Plumbing and they were extremely accommodating. Scheduled a tech to come out a few hours. Devoreaux came out and inspected the damage. Then gave me 3-4 options with repairs and gave me all the pros and cons and pricing for each option. Extremely professional and thorough. I hope I don't have to call a plumber again, but if I do I will be calling A Total Plumbing and asking for Devoreaux.

Guy are really nice and cordial but way to expensive . Job consisting of installing two ball valves two 90degree Drop ear fittings and two hose bibs for a total cost of 726.90 is way over priced in my book . The fact that it is a flat price with no breakdown of parts and labor is even more wrong . I am sorry but I can not recommend this company . Update Spoke with Jake this young man really does care about his company and I wish him much success in speaking with him we addressed the charges and my concerns . I must admit not to many owner or owner representatives reach out to address the concerns of the client ,and for that I rose their status to three stars . Thought at this moment I cannot recommend the company due to cost . I do hope it will not be cost prohibitive in the future . They are a very respectful bunch .

Well I have to say I gave them a raving review because they came to my aid when I needed somebody .It's been a week and a half or so later and I do have a leak underneath my sink . I did not reach out to them to let them know that I had the same problem that they supposedly fixed. I guess they saw my review and I was called and told that they would be happy to come back out at no charge and see what the problem is. I did not accept this because I've already called my usual plumber and made an appointment. However I give them kudos for having offered to come back and fix it.

I called A-Total to unclog a toilet. The plumber that was sent asked to check the water pressure and pointed out that the pressure was too high and he would have to install a pressure regulator before he could clean the drain. I thought this was especially suspicious. But then he pointed at the valve on the water line leading to the water heater and said that valve would turn off all the water in the house, including the cold water. I knew at this point he was trying to increase the price unnecessarily. His minimum estimate was $1,000 but recommended $4,000 in repairs to """"make me comfortable with my water system"""". I have lived in my house for 30 years and have yet to have any problems with the water system. I paid for the service call although in hindsight I wish I just ran him off.

WORST plumbing company I've ever seen or experienced anywhere... called them to do some plumbing work in a bathroom, that any decent plumber with knowledgeable techs would be able to do and not cost the price of a new car... This company's solution was to re-plumb my entire house, revamp the well system, and change out the hot water heater to the tune of $16,500! They're literally off their rockers. Highway robbery is this company's motto. STAY AWAY!

Clogged drain that was worked on for a while, but not cleared. After being quoted $7K to replace pipe, got a 2nd opinion. Next plumber was able to clear the clog. This didn't help me with the $1,200 invoice from A-Total for their efforts and a pressure valve that I may or may not have needed. Very professional, and sure to make you feel as good as possible about the various extremely high quotes.

We have had a hot water issue and also a plumbing issue under our sink. The company has sent very professional people who communicate the issues at hand and fix/repair the issue in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this company
