As a Real Estate Agent it is important to me that my recommendation comes from a highly referable experience. An experience worthy to those I care about. I used A to Z plumbing when a garbage disposal went out under the kitchen sink in my rental and I was unable to get there in time to prevent additional damage under the sink. I placed a call to numerous plumbers and had the same response... not sure we can get there quickly so they wanted to make appointments 2-3 weeks out. (I did have time to buy a new disposal from Home Depot and drop off at rental).
A to Z understood my situation and had one of there guys available the same day and they were done within an hour at what I thought was a very reasonable rate. In my opinion, the others did not see high dollars so they decided that my job was not worth sending a plumber.
This is a family business and they treated me like I was part of their family. I would highly recommend their services.

Trevor came by to help fix our toilet that wasn't flushing right. He was knowledgeable and quick to help us. Turns out it was a non-emergency but he was very personable and professional. We would recommend him and a-z for plumbing needs. Thanks Trevor!

Called December 26th with what looked to be leak under my sink. The technician arrived on time after explaining to him that it looked like it was my faucet leaking. He looked at the faucet went out to his truck got a tool tightened the hose and was in and out. Today I received a bill for $123. That figures out to be $41 per minute. Needless to say I will not recommend nor will I use this company again. I don't normally write reviews hopefully this will stop someone else from being taken advantage of.

I agree with all of the positive comments. They seemed a bit on the pricy side though. $1,600 for a new water heater. Easy access and house up to code. Most people I have spoken with payed about $1000. But what do you do with a family of 5 and no hot water. They were fast, friendly and did great work. Very professional.

I had a kitchen sink leaking at a condo I am renting out. They came out the same day and fixed the problem at a fair price. The front office lady was very nice to speak with, and the workers who came out were also nice. Overall a painless, easy experience and job well done. I will definitely use A to Z in the future for any plumbing needs/issues we have at our properties.

Great referral! I called A to Z to fix what another 'plumber' broke... Kitchen faucet had started hammering when the water was turned on and the first guys in (not A to Z) just made it worse.

A to Z - professional, prompt, tidy, great attitude, brought everything needed to complete the work - even when it turned out to be much more difficult than anticipated (got to love old houses). Clearly explained the work that was being done and why. Reasonable price and were able to accommodate my schedule.

A-Z Plumbing was a referral from a trusted realtor friend. First a little bit about me so you won't think this is a shill review. I have been through three complete home remodels in my life, and over the years, I have used 4 different plumbing companies in San Diego. I have modest skills in doing minor plumbing repairs in my home.

We have a large custom home and there are two water heaters in tandem to provide plenty of hot water along with a circulator system for rapid hot at all outlets. One of our water heaters went out after 8 years (""American"" brand) but I am told that is not that too bad, as most go out between 8 and 10 years. Any longer, and you are really lucky, but skating on thin ice. So we shopped around and found two water heaters on closeout which we bought and had delivered to our home. Then I had to find someone to install them (labor only). I thought of Sears, as you can at least rely on them being there in the future, and their standard charge (would be more for my complex situation) was $475 per water heater (so about $950 or more in my case). I called another plumbing company I had used for a small job before and they quoted $1,500 (again, just labor and parts). Two other companies were not even interested and didn't return my calls, probably because I already had my water heater and they apparently wanted to make money on the units and the labor.

I am very glad I called A-Z Plumbing. It was a good experience from my first call to their office. I left a message which was returned within hours by courteous Janet, the dispatcher. She is not an ""answering service"" but knows what you will need based on what you tell her. Because the water heaters are heavy, they needed to send two men, and they charge right around $100 per hour per tech. I agreed to this. The two men arrived within the 2 hour window, went right to work and were here from 9am to almost 2pm, but were unable to work for one hour when they needed to get parts. So I was prepared to pay for two men for four hours and thought that would be very fair. Including 4 new shut off valves, copper pipe, connectors and so forth, I was amazed the job was only $655 for all, this after getting bids of up to $1500 from others.

The two techs, Brian and Miguel, were polite, efficient, and their work qualifies as artistry. What do I mean? Many plumbers cut a pipe and then just connect it and torch it. This leaves small burrs inside the pipe which can act like collection points for calcium and debris, much like plaque in your arteries. Every pipe piece they handled was buffed until it was shiny and smooth inside and out. Their connections were clean, straight, and solid (no excess solder). They took away the old water heater at no additional charge AND cleaned up the water heater closet and job area neater than it was when they arrived. I would post a picture of the finished job if I could. I was so impressed, I bought two more water heaters from the supply house and had A-Z do the install for my daughters' condos the next day. Again, their install labor price was half what I was quoted from other companies and they finished the job in 90 minutes for each place.

Strongly recommended.

Bottom Line - job done right, and at a reasonable price, and friendly too.

Joseph came out this morning (about 90 minutes after I called, can't beat that) and was friendly and unclogged a shower drain and replaced a tub faucet. Everything was done quickly and efficiently for a fair price ($148).

My search for a trustworthy AND reasonably priced plumber is over.

Thank you!!
