After living on the Monterey Peninsula for over 10 years, I finally found a plumbing business that focuses on customer service. As a mature female customer I was treated courteously and professionally, not as if I lacked brain power. The work was done timely in a competent manner. In addition, I wasn't nickled and dimed to death - many charge at least $100 to just show up, and then the clock starts ticking. A & R Plumbing charges by the hour. Best of all, if a techician doesn't have a part, there is a person who will deliver it, if available, to the job site. What a concept! This avoids unnecessary return visits and hourly fees, a con job used by other businesses who don't have enough business.

I'm impressed. Jeff, the technician who took care of my problem, is fantastic. I'm only sorry A & R Plumbing doesn't have an electrical department

This company was recommended by various people in our complex. Two severe plumbing issues later, the situation still exists. We were told to get a new facet, the water had to be turned off in the entire complex ( not accurate), they could not fix an emergency back up on New Year's Eve, need I go on? This in not the first time to address the issue.

And to top it off, the receptionist we contacted to re schedule was rude, did not have a record of the second visit, not accommodating and re assigned the same inept plumber to try and fix the issue.

The solution, a cracked valve that cost nothing and took 12 minutes to fix.

A & R's technician quickly cleared a line blockage that had defeated three other plumbers. And he did it in a few minutes. Just off-the-charts good. He solved a problem that had been unsolvable for weeks. I can't say enough good things about the service I received.

I recently had a serious problem which I know would be an expensive project. I did not get bids, I immediately called A & R Plumbing because I had had a very positive experience with them a few years ago, so I knew I would be treated fairly, and that I would be satisfied with the work. Parts of the project required subcontractors. I did have an issue with two of them, and the folks at A & R orchestrated a solution. They stayed with it until I was satisfied. In the future I I know I can count on A & R to do the right thing, The ability to trust a business to do the best possible job and to make the customer happy is very important to me. I will continue to call A & R whenever I have a plumbing problem, and will recommend them to others.

I was recommended this plumber and they came in fixed my two items and charged a very reasonable amount. Other plumbers charge more and workers get a commission which is really unconscionable. I would highly recommend A and R. We will use them again.

Prompt service and delighted with coordination
If you want a fast, reliable plumber, call A and R Plumbing. We had a leak in our water heater on a weekend. The technician and dispatcher answered our questions and helped coordinate the repair on Saturday letting us know when they would arrive after two other work orders. We purchased the water heater and it was installed so quickly. The response is quick and reasonable rates even with a weekend emergency! Every time, it's been prompt, friendly and quality service on every request small or big. My husband and I will call again for other repairs and remodels next time!

Love A and R. Have a couple rental homes in Seaside and these guys show up on time, do excellent work, and are reasonably priced. They noted a water main was about to explode due to age. Tech (though working on a different problem) took pics and texted to me to show me the issue in real time. I shortly thereafter called them to quote and replace the main. They harmed no landscaping and preserved a stucco wall and sidewalk right in the middle of the work area. Cannot say enough good things about A and R. Have used them at least 6 times in the last couple of years all with really good results.

You never know with plumbing companies. Crazy Drains still hasn't called back. We called A and R to replace two kitchen fixtures, unclog the bath tub and install a bathroom fixture, all at multiple locations. They showed up on time and completed the work professionally. Their prices were very reasonable. When an issue arose from one of the fixture replacement jobs, they sent a plumber within hours to fix it (turned out that the problem was a faulty washer in the Kohler fixture not the installation). A and R also did not try to sell unnecessary services. A++. Would highly recommend.
