Recommended Customer Reviews

Had some plumbing issues, my home warranty company sent A Plus Plumbing to check it. The guy who came was rude and ignored me when I greeted him. Not only that, he submitted false reports to the home warranty company which lead to our claims getting denied! I guess that's why the warranty company like to use them! Such a terrible company, no wonder they have to rely on home warranty companies for business. They would go out of business quickly if they try to actually compete in the free market.

Scheduled an appointment within 3 hours of my call to my home warranty company. A+ sent someone out who was courteous and didn't talk down to me. He fixed everything quickly, was professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

By far the worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. First time home warranty sent them out to fix a slab leak. Everything seemed fine after the meeting and they were going to start work after the water damage was taken care of.
When they came out they drill huge holes in the studs and even took out half the stud at the base of the 2x4. They cut into a cabinet, and then realized what they were looking for wasn't there. When they left for the day they left all there trash and did no cleanup whatsoever.
I called the owner Ralph back to take a look at the work. He came out and told me all his bored holes and notches in the studs were to code. When they clearly were not. He said the work was not done and that he still needed to do more work on it, even though I had the signed document stated work was completed. I declined the work and told him I wanted a permit to ensure everything was to code. After two weeks of not returning phone calls I finally got a hold of him, and he told me he had fired the plumber that did the job and he would like to finish it before a inspector came out. I wanted the job done so I finally let him do it. It passed inspection after another 5 hours of work.
When my reconstruction was set to begin, they found there was still a slab leak. It's not covered in the warranty because a plus used all the money. I called another plumber out to fix the new leak, and he told me that aplus left all the acid on the pipes when the was sealing it. I asked to check to see if they plumber fixed the correct leak so that first time home warranty could pay for part of it due to a botched job, and he told me they cut the pipe in such a bad spot that there would be no way to test it unless the broke into the slab.
DO NOT!!!! Let first time home warranty dispatch them, you will regret it.

I had seen a lot of negative reviews for not only A+ Plumbing, but also for my home warranty company. So, I have to say now that I've received the service that I am pleasantly surprised.
I had what I assumed was a slab leak on 12/23... two days before Christmas. I called First American, my home warranty company. They dispatched out my call to A+ and said that A+ should get back to me no later than the next day.
Not being one to wait, I called A+ later in the day to make sure they received my dispatch and get me on the schedule ASAP. The person who answered didn't sound overly excited and it took her a few minutes to find the dispatch, but we got it scheduled, but I would have to wait until the afternoon of Friday 12/27 to get someone out. In some respects, that is understandable with the holidays. But, you know how it is... The guy would come at the end of the day and tell me that they don't have the parts, so he won't be able to get my slab leak fixed until next week.
Scheduling was the worst part of the experience I had. Here's where it gets way better...
On 12/27, Angel comes out to my house and diagnoses that it is, in fact, a hot water slab leak. He also notices that a hose bib needs to be replaced and asks me to get authorization for that. Meanwhile, he needs to get authorization for the slab leak from the home warranty company. To tide me over, he shuts off only my hot water to prevent continued damage.
Angel calls me the next day to tell me that he received authorization on repairs for the slab leak and can come out Sunday 12/29 after noon. Sunday. Let me repeat that: Sunday.
On Sunday morning, Angel calls me and tells me that he finished up an earlier appointment and wants to know if it is okay to come by early. Absolutely!
Angel comes by in the morning and is done with the re-piping of my hot water plumbing in about three hours. Fantastic!
He was very professional and an excellent communicator. He said that he has been doing plumbing for something like 15 years. He told me that it is currently only him and the owner that go out and do plumbing for A+.
Kudos, guys!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! First American warranty company sent them to my rental property, where they were rude to my tenant and refused to do the job stating my tenant had put caustic chemical in the sink AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO WAIT 72 HOURS BEFORE TOUCHING THE SINK. I had asked that the plumber call me when he was at the home, since I live 800 miles away, and the plumber did not do so. I only got that info when I called A-Plus office.
Anyway, my tenant SWORE he had not poured anything down the sink. Since he had already been without a sink from Friday evening until Tuesday when A-Plus came out to the property, I called another plumber that handled hazmat situations and that was not connected to warranty company.
That plumber called me from my property and told me the job was a simple snaking that only took 10 minutes. He said there was NO chemical in the sink, nothing caustic, and then warned me about companies that do work exclusively for warranty companies.
Anyway, I have reported A-Plus to the warranty company and refuse to pay the $65 service fee because the job was not done BY THEM. The warranty company is looking into paying the plumber who actually unclogged the sink, but I think the bill, which I haven't received yet, will be less than the $65 service fee required by the warranty company contract,
AGAIN....READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND BELIVE THEM!!!! STAY AWAY FROM A-PLUS PLUMBING AND ROOTER! RIP OFF!!!!

I was connected to A-Plus Pumbing through First American Home Warranty. I immedietely went to Yelp when I received the Plumbing Companies name on my work order. I saw all of these bad reviews and was very concerned. I called A-Plus Plumbing and they reassured me that I was in good hands. I gave them a shot and ..... they actually did a great job. They were out to my house that same day and solved a slab leak issue. The plumber was very accessable and polite. They completed the job fast and there was no additional cost to me other then the $60 service fee that First American Warranty Charges. I was happy to see A-plus Plumbing lived up to their service promise and I would use them again.

Totally Unreliable company. Plumber never showed and never called to say he was not coming. This happened twice. I asked for the owner of A Plus Plumbing company to call me to discuss my issue with them....
I never got a call back..... He doesn't care about his customers so why do business with a company like this
With so many reliable plumbing companies why waste your time with incompetence.

Some people don't know what customer service is anymore! We are all connected by technology so maybe they don't think they are talking to a real person. I too was scheduled with this company by First American. The only reason they are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the 1st time they were out to my house I didn't have any issues with them (albeit they were only there for 15 min tops). Larry was our plumber. Though he forgot to call ahead (as requested) so I could have someone at my house, I was willing to overlook that (since my stand-in was already there waiting), until I was told they would have to come back to perform 1/2 the work. Apparently this plumber doesn't carry a faucet on their truck. Now, I am not a plumber so I do not claim to know if that is common practice or not. What I do know, is that when I was scheduling this appointment, there was no mention of multiple appts, coming to take a look at the problem etc. I told the person scheduling I needed a faucet replaced. Larry even admitted that normally his order would say ""bring faucet"" but it did not. When I explained to Larry that it was imperative that the faucet be fixed today ( pictures were being taken of the house later that evening), he said they would need to order the faucet. Again, I am not a plumber, but I would think you would have a standard grade, no frills, faucet in stock. When I called the office Angie was just as complacent as Larry and continually interrupted me when I was trying to state my case. Companies like this have no respect for other people. They don't respect that I work full-time and cannot take time off work without difficulty, they don't care that they are wasting not only my time, their employee's time and the person I had there's time. It is just another day, another dollar to them. They had no problem taking the check for the service fee even though the work wasn't completed. Maybe that is why they are so complacent-because home warranty work is probably the lowest paying appointment on their books and apparently they don't see the need to treat home warranty customers with the same respect as the customers they are charging much more for a service call. Maybe they should remember that home warranty customers are paying hundreds of dollars for their policies so they don't have the worry or frustration of high dollar service calls! I filed a complaint with First American, who will probably do nothing but ""notate it"" and put it in a file. I will surely be calling them back to see if they would like me to fax them a print out of all of the negative reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the money to have someone else out. So now I wait for the faucet to come in, try to get out of work for the appointment or inconvenience AGAIN a reluctant family member and there is nothing I can do about it. It is so sad that all of this frustration could have been avoided with a simple, ""So you are scheduled for (date) at (time) for us to take a look at the problem. We would like to inform you that if the faucet cannot be repaired we will need to special order parts and come back for the installation. In that case you will not be charged an additional service fee."" 5 seconds and they don't have a complaint on Yelp or with First American.

These guys were great!! I don't understand the bad reviews, maybe they fired the bad people.....
My story: the home warranty insurance sent them out to our rental and they handle the work quickly and economically. Then we had a hot floor (symptom of a slab leak) in our new house, we called the insurance who sent out Dove plumbing (never use them) who told us we had a slab leak in the bathroom and everything would have to be torn out before the started work ($$$$$$) and they don't re-routes. Called these guys for a second opinion and they told use we had a hot water recirculator, hence the hot floor.
READ that CORRECT--- nothing was wrong!!
Thank you, thank you A plus!! You saved me thousands for your honest work!!

***********Bad service=bad reviews will follow****************I wish i read this prior to having them being contracted out by my home warranty company. I will not only write the better business bureau but will make sure these guys are no longer used by my home warranty company. Plumber/ Owner Ralph what a joke not only was this guy lazy but rude as well and disappears without the repair being finished then tells me he will finish it when he gets to it lol Wont be in business long good luck!!
