Jason Richards founded A+ Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling in 2005. Over the years, the company has increased its sales and workforce. We currently have two locations and cater to multiple counties in northern Indiana.
Over a decade ago, Jason Richards had a significant realization when he saw an opportunity to improve the HVAC and plumbing industry with straightforward customer care. Together with his wife Nancy, his high school sweetheart of 20 years, he started A+ Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. Over ten years later, Jason's foundational vision is still alive. The company has evolved from a single truck operating around the clock to nine fully-equipped vehicles. Our friendly team of technicians is always ready to assist families, day or night. Our well-trained personnel are required to pass rigorous background checks and drug screenings. The safety of our customers and team members is our top priority.

We called A+ to come roto rooter our tub drain and had my father at the house when they arrived. Work was completed and $170 paid. The next day my tub is still not draining. Call them back out and my father calls to let me know they have to snake it. Excuse me? That's what we requested the first time. That's when I find out the tech poured chemicals down the drain the first time and it didn't work so now he wants to charge me to roto rooter it. I obviously objected to the charge, to which the tech said he wouldn't charge a service fee this time. Really? I shouldn't be charged at all! The tech took a $170 gamble with my money and when it didn't work, wanted to charge me again for the service I actually requested!!! I've spoken to another plumber since then and he said 99% of tub clogs require a rotor rooter due to hair. This is what I requested and not what I got. Charged over $300 total for something that should have cost half. The second time he came, he also soaked my bath rug and left muddy foot prints all over the floor. Not professional and thieves if you ask me. I get this may just be the tech we got, but he represents your business and is doing it poorly.
Dont hire these people they charged me $225 to fix my water heater that took 5 mins with a $10 part
We needed our kitchen faucet replaced. This wasn't an emergency, but I was about to go out of town for a couple of weeks, so I needed the job done before I left so that my family wouldn't have a problem to deal with. The plumber showed up and finished the work quickly, but the company charged me $431. $89 of that was for the service, and $342 was a surcharge unconnected to any service I received. Again, this was not an emergency call. When I complained, the only explanation I got was that this is a standard base fee. I was maybe too polite, because it took them two months to respond to my complaint. Then I received a call from Dave, followed by a cold letter from Miguel Hernandez which did not at all explain why I was overcharged. I've never dealt with such an unreasonable local business before.
I had them come out to take a look at my air conditioner because it was running louder than usual. I specifically told the service guys that this was why I wanted it looked at. I realized a day or two later that it was still running as loudly as before. I called the company and was informed that there would be an additional $70 charge for them to come back out because the guys said it was cooling correctly. It is not running correctly when it is still making a loud, vibrating noise when it runs!!!
Jorge C.Enrique was amazing . I called them on a Sunday and on the next day they were here servicing my property explained the problem and took care of it super fast . Their technician was incredibly help , professional and diagnosed the issue in minutes and took care of me. I can't say enough the custome service and punctuality that they brought to the job. Not only did they get it done in a timely manner but also did it right . I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great service . They might be a bit pricy but we'll worth it . Thanks Lot you definitely deserve recognition.
Please make yourself a great favour. Don't call them. They are incompetent, unwilling to take responsibilities for poorly bad jobs and charge you an obscene amount of money for them. Let me explain you why.
Our sump pump check valve broke on Jan 8th, '22. We called A+ Plumbing Heating and Cooling. They came a few hours later to replace it and redo parts of the PVC pipe for the sump pump system. The total cost was $699, because it was an emergency call.
The next day the PVC pipe system was leaking. We called them again, and they resolved the problem. Of course, this was without warning that it might not be their fault, and perhaps they needed to replace other PVC pipes.
Unfortunately, hell broke loose on Jan 17th, '22. One of the PVC pipes that they installed broke again. Our basement ended up getting flooded!!! We called then again... We heard the same speech over the phone. It isn't probably our responsibility. Our work is of high quality, you will need to pay for new repairs, plumbing systems are complex, etc. We are talking about a PVC and a rubber check valve! This is supposed to be a pretty straight forward to job. They came again and sort it out at no cost, because it was obviously their fault: a sloppy and poorly bad job. They helped to remove the water from our basement, though we had wet carpets, and built up humidity, which we needed to dry at our own cost! No apologies from A+ Plumbing.
Our saga hasn't been over yet. Today, Jan 22, '22, the rubber check valve came loose, and our basement is once more flooded. We telephoned them, and A+ Plumbing is nowhere to be found. My husband decided to fasten the check valve himself. Now we are working hard to remove all the water, and start to dry our basement again!!!
If A+ Plumbing would have a grain of decency, they would have called this time, come to sort this problem, apologize and return back our $699.
We had water leaking around the toilet base and called A+. They showed up at the time they said however the guy gave me a quote and then said he had to go get some supplies. He came back 1 1/2 hrs later and then came back and removed the toilet. He said the flange had corrosion and they would need to jack hammer the floor and replace it. I asked him for an estimate and was charged $286 for the work and he would email our quote for the work. My husband called twice and they didn't have the estimate yet so he bought an $8 repair kit at Walmart and he repaired it this weekend.
Our drain line was clogged and we couldn't use the powder room or kitchen. A+ was available so we told them to come even though we'd never heard of them. The plumber they sent wanted to release raw sewage into the basement, reluctantly agreed to remove the toilet and go through those pipes, then broke his cable 35' feet in. He was rude and dismissive when I asked 'what do we do next?', blamed our contractors saying they must have dropped tile into the line, and acted like I personally broke his cable. He charged me more than $450 and I got no help at all. Another plumber discovered that the clog, an accumulation of 100 years of rust and debris (no tiles), was about 10' feet directly below the toilet. How the A+ man fed 35' feet of cable into the line is a mystery.
Loved that the technician showed up in a mask! This was so important to me. Luis was very professional, showed early finished without and difficulties! Highly recommended
The technician did an excellent job identifying the issue and correcting the problem. He was awesome! It took less than an hour and the charges were reasonable. I am extremely happy with the work that was completed and will have these wonderful people replace the system under my sink after the holidays.
