In 1996, Paul Karp, owner of A Perfect Plumbing Solution, began his career as an assistant to service technicians for a local plumbing, HVAC, and solar contractor, acquiring skills from the bottom up. Instilled with the importance of doing the job right the first time, Paul takes pride in delivering reliable service backed by the necessary expertise. Having spent over eleven years in the plumbing trade, Paul shifted from employee to licensed contractor and launched A Perfect Plumbing Solution. Now, he serves the plumbing needs of the Central Coast with pride and the capability to provide essential services.
Growing up in Arroyo Grande, Paul has deep local roots. He attended St. Patrick Catholic School, St. Joseph Catholic High School, Arroyo Grande High School, Allan Hancock College, and Cuesta College. Paul worked various fast food and retail jobs until he spent six months living and working in Brussels, Belgium at age 19. In Brussels, he realized his desire to impact others by fixing up aging apartments. Upon returning to the States, Paul secured a position with a local contractor and found joy in the plumbing trade. He actively sought to understand all elements of the trade, including technical troubleshooting that can be neglected by less motivated technicians. He consistently aims to expand his knowledge with each project he completes.

At a little after midnight the other night my hot water heater started to leak :( Texted Paul at APPS and the next morning he was over to help me get my problem solved. He removed the old tank and installed a new tankless (relocating it all in the attic). Now I have a new closet for storage and an endless supply of hot water. Call Paul if you are interested in finding out more information about a tankless water heater or any other plumbing problem. He saved my day!!!!

We've trusted Paul for the last ten years for all of our plumbing needs. Whether it be a clogged toilet at home or a new water heater at our rental. Every referral we've ever sent him has thanked us. You won't find a better plumber on the central coast!

Paul is very professional and gives it to you straight. I called Paul out on a rainy day due to a problem with our toilets. He stood in the rain to snake the pipes. We have had Paul work on many plumbing issues for us, he is honest, fairly prices and does the job right. I would recommend Paul to anyone looking for a plumber.

I called on New Years Day with a broken water heater and Paul came out that day to replace it. He gives great service and is reasonably priced.

I asked Paul to come over and do some work at the house. He can do it all as he installed a water heater, checked for leaks, a couple of toilets, bath tub and updated numerous fixtures. The best bonus of hiring Paul is that he does the job right and he's honest man. The prices are fair and he's reliable. I would recommend Paul anytime for your plumbing needs.

Paul was referred to me by the stone company replacing my kitchen counter tops to perform the needed plumbing disconnect and reconnect. I was really impressed with Paul, so I also hired him to replace a toilet.
After the reconnection of my kitchen plumbing I realized my garbage disposal was not working. I called Paul, who explained that it was probably just debris from the construction, but he would be happy to come out later that week to take a look. He also advised how I could unplug the garbage disposal and check if I wanted. I tried but, because I have mobility issues, I was unable to crawl under the sink and unplug the disposal. I called Paul the morning he was to come by just to confirm and left a voice mail. Never to hear from him. No call back. No 'it's not my problem'. Nothing. Very disappointing.

So, yesterday our landscape guy found a leak in the box out front where the water meter is located. We called the water company. They came out this morning. They said that the leak was on ""our"" side of the meter and we'd have to pay to have it fixed. They turned off the water. After calling around, we found a Paul, who was available to make the repair. He came right over. Was here in less than 30 minutes after I called him. He fixed the leak. The water is back on. Great guy. Will definitely use him again. His rate was surprisingly affordable for a last minute emergency call.

I have been working with Paul and this company for many years now, most recently he fixed a stuck valve in my plumbing by the water heater, add reverse Osmosis to both my office and my residence. For my business he has completed over a hundred winterizations and de-winterizations. I do need to say Paul and his company has been very good at getting to jobs completed on short notice.

I have called upon Paul, owner of A Perfect Plumbing Solution, several times over the past 10 years. He's honest and fair. His service is quick and thorough. From tightening a fitting to remodeling my bathroom, he can do it all. He's a local small business who provides the same services as the big name ""800"" number plumbers who claim to be local. His prices are very fair and he can get you anything from the basics to full custom faucets, toilets, and high tech stuff. Paul is a homeowners dream for a go to plumber. He's also a must have contact for you business owners.

Paul Karp answered my distress call about water under the kitchen sink, and restored order to my life in one hour. Not only did he quickly diagnosed the problem (a worn hot water valve connected to the dishwater), but he checked all other similar valves in the house. Paul did not overwhelm me with technical jargon, nor did he try to talk me into unneeded work. He works fast, provides detailed billing, and charges very reasonably. Paul was recommended to me by a retiring plumber that I trusted, and my trust was not misplaced.
UPDATE: On June 12, 2014, Paul came out to my house to help me flush my hot water heater and replace a kitchen faucet (including the valves under the sink) -- all done to perfection within an hour's time. I consider myself fortunate to have his service to rely on. (I recommend doing your part for the job ahead of time: laying out the parts, clearing out the work area, setting up the hose, etc.)
