Great service from the scheduling department calling me letting me know when the crew was going to arrive. The crew was very nice, fast and efficient. They were very honest with me walking me through the job and what it entailed and potential risks. They were a little more expensive then you would pay with a Roto-Rooter type company but you get what you pay for and I was very happy with how the job turned out.

I had an amazing experience. Roberto came to look at my furnace which broke during a cold spell here in Denver. First, A-OK got someone out to me really fast even though they were definitely busy. He gave me really good advice regarding the furnace and also took a lot of time talking to me about other aspects of my home that need maintenance. Roberto went out of his way to help me find the right furnace to replace my broken one. That exact model turned out to be out of stock, so Roberto hooked me up with a better model for no extra charge that has saved me $20-30 per month because it is more efficient. Great people who go the extra mile to do the job right and also educate! I totally recommend them to anyone!

We have used A-OK Plumbing, Heating and Cooling now for almost 2 years. We are very satisfied with the level of service we have received. Each specialist that has come to the house is professional and very knowledgeable. Roberto was extremely helpful in diagnosing the problem with our air conditioner and gave us full explanations as we went along. He fixed the problem quickly and best part was we were not pressure to replace the 14 yr. old condenser like some companies would have done. Cudos for a job well done and we look forward to a long relationship with a company we can trust.

Let's face it, plumbing is a racket. Most people have no idea how much it actually costs to get something fixed in their homes. So we trust ""professionals"" to make the call and be fair and honest.

Our bathtub/shower had been backing up for over a week when we decided we needed to call a plumber. We only have one bathroom, so standing in a foot of filthy water while showering was becoming a huge problem. The first guy who came over was friendly, but he said the job was too big for him and that we needed to call someone else. He referred us to to A-OK plumbing who came out the same day to give us an estimate- they also charged a $40 trip fee. They came on Tuesday and said they could come between 9-11am on Friday to start the job. They quoted us $1400 and said they had to remove our bathroom vanity in order to remove our outdated lead pipes and drum trap and install a newer p-trap. My husband said the plumber was VERY nice and he was happy to work with him.

When my husband called to set-up the appointment the receptionist said ""we can do Tuesday morning"" my husband got pretty firm with her and told her ""Johnny said you could squeeze us in on Friday between 9-11am"" which she reluctantly scheduled.

We had guests in town (being Thanksgiving week and all) and our shower was pretty much out of commission. And then our bathroom sink started backing up into the shower. Then on Thanksgiving our kitchen sink started backing up into our overflow drain which was then backing up onto our hardwood floors. We had a major clusterf*ck on our hands. As I was trying to clean up the mess the best that I could (considering we had 100 dishes and NO working sink) I said to my husband, ""How much do you want to bet the plumber is going to cancel tomorrow?""

7:45am on Friday rolls around and my husband gets a call. GUESS WHAT? The plumber assigned to our job had called in sick for the day! My husband reiterated that this was an EMERGENCY situation. We were put on ""standby"" by the receptionist (what does that even mean??). She also said they could reschedule for Tuesday (the day she originally wanted us to schedule)- so we would have to wait 5 more days to have a working shower and working sinks. No thanks. We called around for an hour looking for another plumber to come out. Thankfully we found a nice independently owned plumbing company who could come out in a few hours. They sent out TWO plumbers and completed the job in less than an hour. They didn't have to take out the vanity, and they charged us less than a 1/3 of what A-Ok quoted us.

When my husband called A-Ok to tell them we found someone else to do the job, the response was, ""But, we had you on standby!"" He responded with, ""Yes, we've been standing-by all day, and we found someone else who could actually get it done.""

So, thank you A-Ok plumbing for ultimately saving us a lot of money. I hope you enjoy our $40.

It cost me $39 for them to drive over and give me an estimate that was twice as much as other plumbers.

Their estimate for replacing the shut off valves underneath my kitchen sink was $420.26. When I asked how that broke down into parts and labor, I was told $150 for parts and $250 for one hour of labor. The invoice reads: ""Est to replace 1 cold shut off and 1 hot for sink and dishwasher"". $420 to replace shutoff valves seemed high so I called other plumbers while he was out getting parts.

When I called 3 other plumbers on Yelp, all the estimates were under $200. One of them is replacing those valves now for $140.

This is the second job A-OK has done for me and hands down they are far better than ""A-OK"". They are superior. The first thing was my sump pump crapped out during the heavy rains in June '15. They were out within a short amount of time to assess the situation and subsequently replace the pump.

Next, the sillcock (outside faucet, dirty minds) sprung a giant leak. Hey. The townhouse was built in the mid-'80s, ok. Id just sold the place and the inspector was there. Johnny showed up, spoke to the inspector and returned shortly thereafter. Then the inspection report comes back and claims the brand new sump pump doesn't work. When Johnny came back to complete the second repair, he made sure the pump was in working order AND waived the trip fee.

I'm happy. I'm satisfied. But the buyer wants proof. So I called A-OK, 'splained the situation and the next day the CEO called to make sure he would get the letter right!

Now I'm REALLY impressed. Yup. Got the letter today and boom! We are done. This is why this plumbing company, despite their prices (which are a little steep) is my new go-to.

You get what you pay for.

We moved into an older house knowing full well we needed a new hot water heater and 2 toilets. I found A-OK through Home Advisor and read their reviews. They are very courteous, professional and accommodating. I was floored when Johnny gave me all the estimates for the work to be done, but I felt he and Justin would do a good job. They went straight to work on the jobs, getting all the things they needed in a timely manner. It took nearly 9 hours to complete the work and we were pleased. Minutes after they left the water pipe leading to the water heater sprung a leak. We called the 24 hour line and they were ready to come back out, but WE decided to let these two guys rest and deal with it in the morning. In the AM, they came out, fixed the leak in less than an hour and hung around a little while to be sure it was good. Every question I had was answered to my satisfaction and was assured if I have any problems to call them. We would recommend this company and will call them in the future if we need any more work done.

So to overview, I wouldn't give them a grade of ""A"" but rather a ""D+"" for the overall experience. While the work was done properly and to code, the people there were quite unprofessional. For many reasons and at a variety of times I felt like I was being lied to. The one thing I require more than any other from people is the truth. When dealing with A-OK, I repeatedly felt like I was being lied to. Because of that, I wish I could give ZERO stars. So while we have a plumbing problem probably once a month on average for one of our properties, we have not found a replacement for our previous plumber who retired.

So story time...We were in a bind when we discovered at one of our rental properties there was a leak under the sink where the dishwasher supply line was connected to the hot water line. It started leaking because of the poor job done by a previous handyman but that's a different story. We got matched to A-OK through a website and gave them a call. As in baseball, three strikes and you're out in my book, lets see how many they can rack up.

Strike 1(being late): We talked to a dispatch lady around 3:30 who said the plumber could be out in 30-45 minutes. So we waited for the plumber to come. At the 35 minute mark we called back only to find out that some traffic problem had materialized because of an accident and the plumber was only half way there. We said we hid a key at the property and said ""let yourself in."" We asked how much it would be to fix the supply line leak to the dishwasher due to a bad valve. We were quoted $100.

Strike 2(no show): So when we got home, I checked on Google traffic and there were no accidents anywhere in Aurora. So the 'accident' seemed like a fib to me. We got a call from the plumber himself at 6:00pm who said he was at the property but was scared to get out of his truck because someone looked at him funny. WHAT!? Someone looked at you funny and so you drive off the job? Well at this point, all other plumbers have stopped working for the day so our leak continued to drip and damage the kitchen cabinet. So we scheduled him to come back at 9:00am the next morning.

Strike 3 (the owner hangs up on us): We got in contact with the owner of the company to talk about the situation. In the background we heard kids playing so he was probably at home. We talked about the situation and how we were frustrated with the plumber being late and then refusing to do the job. Halfway through, the phone goes dead. Call back. Start explaining again, phone goes dead. He calls back and says his phone keeps dropping the call. Keep explaining our point of view, it seems like he's listening until the phone goes dead again. Look, I understand if you're driving and have spotty reception, or if you're in an unfamiliar place and aren't sure about cell reception, but Everyone knows where in their own home, the cell reception is good and where it's not so good. Since he was probably at home since I heard his kids in the background, I'm sure he was just hanging up on us when he didn't care any more and lying to cover it up.

Strike 4 (stupidity): The plumber go to the house and looked under the sink and called us to receive consent to start working on ""fixing the leak"". Plumber said it would be $100 to clean P-trap and snake the drain under the kitchen sink. WHAT!? I told you yesterday it was a leak because of the bad valve at the supply line to the dishwasher. There was no talk about cleaning a P-trap and snaking the drain.

Strike 5 (grossly inflated prices): Plumber then looks at the valve and gives an estimate of $250 to replace the valve, like we told them the day before. ""What kind of a discount do I get for you not showing up yesterday?"" ""No discount"" he replies, then after 3 seconds he comes back with ""I already gave you a discount at the $250, my book says it should be $289 for the fix but I'll honor the $250 price I said."" Yeah, right. Seems like another lie to me. I told him that the water shutoff is in the crawlspace, or if he wanted to, go ahead and shut it off at the street. ""There's an extra charge for going in the crawlspace or shutting the water off at the street. But I can shut the water off at the water heater."" Absurd! We have never in our many years as property managers heard of an extra charge for shutting the water off.

So there's the story, bottom line, we won't be calling them back for our own home or for our property management company.

I was on the look out for a new plumber so I called and spoke to the owner who was happy to tell me info about the company and patient with my questions. Then I spoke to the plumbing manager who also made me feel very comfortable with the company and was willing to waive the trip charge for my first visit. The plumbers arrived on time, were friendly and ended up only needing to tighten a valve for which they didn't charge me anything. I would definitely recommend.
