Jake is a great guy. He responds to calls almost immediately and his wife lets you know when he is coming. For my job, water heater diagnoses and replacement, He was on time and finished very quickly. Based on my extensive searches, his pricing is very fair and he will not recommend what you don't need. I also have an extensive technical background and found Jake very knowledgeable. He explains details at an understandable level and answers any questions until you are happy. Jake is the best!!! He is honest, thorough, and a fantastic plumber to boot. We have been using his services for nearly 10 years and would never dream of using anyone else for any plumbing issues. He arrives on time and is always pleasant to have around. He has fixed problems large and small for us and we have always been pleased. We have never felt as if we were over charged for any service. A Master Plumbing is absolutely fantastic. In 2013 they installed a whole-house water treatment system for us. We had gotten several quotes, and they recommended a system that met all our needs without upselling things we don't need. The install was quick, efficient, and professional, and has been operating perfectly for nearly 3 years. They also charged a reasonable price.
Our well water had a natural pH of just over 5. The system protects our fixtures and appliances and we can drink delicious water from every tap in the house.
I also had them replace a toilet at the time. They installed one I had picked up from Lowe's. They were fast and I've had no problems with it.
They come quickly when we call for routine maintenance, and continue to charge fair rates.

If I could give ten stars, I would. I now live in Loudoun county in a house that's on well water and septic.

Jake was the only person in the entire area who was willing to help us out last year when our water filtration system motor burned.The company brand is out of state and they had no techs in my area...and they wouldn't work directly with a customer. Absolutely no one...not one company...would fix our system except for Jake. All other companies just wanted to sell us a new system (thousands of dollars). Jake and his wife went out of their way to get in touch with the makers of our filtration system and fixed it at an affordable price. It has since worked better than it ever did.

That's why, when our sump pump failed during severe rain/storms and flood warnings (and temps at night were dropping into the teens with single digit wind chills), I immediately called Jake. I had woken up to an electrical burn smell. The furnace control panel and hot water heater elements were under 2 feet of water in our basement. Our electricity to our entire home had to be cut off for safety. To sum up, we had no septic, heat, water (the well pump tank floated and fell over, breaking from the wall), house phone or internet for several days. If it weren't for our plumber, Jake Martin (owner of A-Master Plumbing), we wouldn't have made it through.

Jake responded to my emergency call right away, along with others he was handling in our area (the rains caused widespread flooding and problems). His wonderful wife took up the slack on their family end just so he could spend, literally, nights and days getting families (including ours) comfortable, safe and functional in their homes.

He knew this was an emergency situation and, as a family man, he just wanted to get us to where we were safe and functional. Not only did he not even come close to charging what he could have for the hours he spent going above and beyond, unlike the flood damage crew, Jake never took advantage of our desperation. Instead, he went out of his way to take care of things the other hired crews proved too incompetent to handle. In fact, he managed and orchestrated the entire 'rescue'. No one else had the common sense to.

I can tell you without reservation that Jake is an honest, intelligent, highly skilled plumber with common sense, compassion and a conscience. He treats his customers like family.
