I couldn't get the pilot on my water heater to stay lit, so I call this place. $300 to $400 to fix a water heater. The guy proudly told me that they charge by the job, not by the hour. The thing is, I had already checked with people and I expected to pay $100.

Also, the guy told me it was $400 is for the "premium service", and $300 for the "standard service" WTF? Just do it right and charge a fair amount! Are they going to do a mediocre job for $300?

It's like, "$400 to do it right and $300 just to waste your time and money with a bad repair, which will it be"? So I paid the $39 for the consultation told them thanks but not thanks and went to Lowes to get a new water heater for $400 (plus installation, but the one I had was 20 years old).

Oh, and when the guy tried to light the pilot he left the gas open. He called 10 minutes after he left probably to tell me that, I was in the shower so I didn't answer. He never called back. So if I hadn't noticed that the gas was open it would have stayed open. WTF? Couldn't he just call back given how dangerous it is to have the gas open?

So I would never recommend this business to anyone.
