SCAM RIP OFF. ZERO STARS. Unprofessional, unethical, incompetent. I don't even know where to begin. Tech had no idea what he was doing, talked on phone with family members, tried to overcharge me $600 for 4lbs of refrigerant after spending 3 hours doing nothing. I said I'd read that the drain could be clogged, and he responded ""Maybe THAT's it"" (Shouldn't he have known that?). When I said I felt that $600 was too much for the coolant (having been a homeowner for decades with ac service), he said he didn't make the prices. I said I'd like to speak with the person who does. He called his manager from outside, came back in, and threatened ""He said if you don't want to pay that, I should drain the refrigerant, take my tools, and go."" I stated that was aggressively confrontational and repeated I wanted to speak to the manager. He definitely did not want that. FINALLY, the tech called back the manager and put me on the phone. I told the manager he'd been there 3 hours, spent more time talking to family members than trying to determine the problem, left for 40 minutes with my outdoor unit disassembled, didn't have a clue why the AC had caused thousands of dollars in water damage, and was trying to overcharge me. I also questioned whether the manager told him to drain it, take his tools, and go. The manager denied that and said ""there must've been a miscommunication."" He mentioned a ""pricing book"" that I'd never seen. They lowered the cost to $440, but I still feel like I was scammed. HORRENDOUS - They should lose their license. Call anyone else. SERIOUSLY.

I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. I had a technician from this company come out to replace a water heater for $4000 at my condo which I paid. He then went to my neighbor to look at some water damage from a leak that he had and told him to try to blame it on my water heater leak so that I could pay for it because I'm a healthcare professional and he said 'she can afford it'. When I called the company to complain, the manager didn't take responsibility. Down played the seriousness of the breach of confidentiality. Do not give this company any business as they don't respect healthcare workers especially during a time like this.

Talk about horrendous customer service. We bought a so called ""great AC unit"" which cost an obscene amount of money from AJ Perri in 2019. After a year, it broke. To make things worse, it broke during a week where every day was above 90 degrees and being stuck in an extremely hot house completely sucks. This is the fifth day we don't have AC. AJ Perri made an appointment to come and fix it today between 3-6pm. Close to 6pm, we got a call that they were not available to come. At 6pm...at the end of our time slot. What a joke. The person I spoke to on the call could not provide an updated ETA on when they would receive the part necessary to repair the AC unit. When I asked to speak to a manager, he couldn't connect me to anyone at the moment. He said he would escalate this to quality assurance manager and that the manager would call back once they received the complaint. Guess who still hasn't called yet? You guessed it, the manager.

Avoid this company for your heating, air conditioning and plumbing. They sell you expensive products that do not live up to expectations and their service is completely abhorrent.

Tenant called A.J. Perri for a backed up toilet, the first thing he said to the tenant is that the pipes was incorrectly installed (soak the landlord and release the tenant of liability) it turns out that the tenant flushed paper towel that caused the back up.He would not tell us what the problem was, after being pressed for proof of what he was claiming the response was ""someone flushed something that they shouldn't have''. So much for pipes being installed incorrectly. We were charged $700 for him to snake the pipes, there was supposed to be a warranty,he had to come out the next day because the problem was not corrected,charged another $100. Called another plumber who cleared out the piped that was clogged with paper towels. DO NOT CALL THESE CROOKS.

I am a regular AJ Perrie customer for plumbing and other issues in my home, so thought I'd call them for my AC issue as well. It was clearly a huge mistake. There were several issues with the visit
1. Given the coronavirus situation rite now, AJ Perrie claims that all their professionals strictly follow the precautions. The professional that came to my house did not care much to take precautions, he was constantly either taking off his mask or pulled it down. He was not wearing gloves when he came into the house and touched around. I told him I can give him gloves if he needs, he then took them out of his pocket and put them on
2. He was extremely rude and did not care much to answer my questions. Most of his answers were ""I don't know"". In general he was very rude
3. He was constantly trying to sell me additional expensive services and wasn't happy when I did not take the bait
4. He said the ac refrigerant is low, but I could clearly tell that his equipment wasn't working well, he was constantly tinkering with it to make it work. When I asked him how low was the ac refrigerant, he said ""I don't know"". He did not give me a quote, just gave me a per pound price of $141.50, which was double the price of what other service companies charge.
5. He wasn't giving me a clear estimate; I asked him a couple of times, how many pounds would be needed, and he said may be 3 pounds. If he doesn't know how low the ac refrigerant and claimed that there was no way to toll, then how would he know that 3 pounds was needed.
6. After he filled the ac refrigerant, he said 3 pounds was filled.
7. Additionally, at first, he wasn't telling me what other charges would be included. I asked him couple of times, then mentioned that a trip charge of $89 would be included. When I made the appointment with AJ Perrie, I was told that the trip charge would be waived if service was performed. Their website says the same. When I mentioned that to the service guy, he seemed very upset and rudely tried to dismiss it by saying, ""no, the charge will not be waived""
In the end he ripped me off by charging me $450 just for filling the ac refrigerant.
I am extremely disappointed by AJ Perrie. I will NEVER use them again and advise all my friends and family to NEVER use these cheats again.

Pros - They showed up on time and the plumber was friendly and professional.

Cons - Outrageously overpriced. Charged $1000 to replace a kitchen faucet.

I knew it was high when they quoted it, but my wife wanted her sink back. She's been taking care of me for a major medical problem for a while, so I didn't force the issue.

They quoted a flat price.

Job took the guy 30 minutes.

Faucet cost $150 online. Assuming they marked it up double or so including new supply hoses and plumber's putty, that leaves $700 for a half hour of labor.

Ripoff.

Only called them because my longtime independent, reasonably priced plumber retired a few years back.

I heard these guys were a ""little expensive"". That's an understatement.

Needless to say, I won't be calling them again and will start looking for another reliable independent plumber for future plumbing needs.

Wow I wish I would've seen this before having my unit replaced. My central air unit stopped working and I had Joe Ruggiero come in to my home to show me what my options were. I told him that I had to consult with my husband and that I would call him back. He was so desperate to make a sale that he neglected to tell me that the only way to make interest free payments was through applying for a Home Depot credit card. I gave a down payment and was just called to set up the automatic monthly payments three weeks after the installation and was JUST told that the only way to make payments interest free for two years was through a Home Depot credit card. I feel taken advantage of just for Joe to make a sale, especially during these unprecedented times. Now I am stuck with paying the balance of $5800. In addition to all of this, he told me that he would be bringing two window units for my family to use for the week before the installation and he never showed up. I texted twice asking for an update and he said ""he forgot"" and that he was going to bring them and he never did. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never recommend your company to anyone I know.

I got a quote for a new central a/c system and their quote was a total rip off. Their quote was by far the highest, $2,500 more than I wound up paying and I got a larger unit than the one they wanted to sell me.

I can't say how good their work is because I didn't use them. But if you have money to burn, then these are your guys.

We had AJ Perri install a new AC unit in the attic everything went well until we need service. We paid $59 for the tune up and the guy forgot to check the drain for the unit. Few weeks go buy AC broke and we waited two hours after the window they gave us with no phone call that they were running late the technician fix the problem so we thought, two weeks later same thing happen. They gave us a window of 3-9pm and again nobody called to tell us they were running late after I called their answering service twice they called back to tell us they gut will be there at 10:10 PM. Still waiting to see if the manager will call me back.

I needed one pipe in my basement replaced. They told me I had to replace every single pipe in the whole basement and I basically would have had to take a second mortgage out on my house to pay for that! I then had another plumber come out who said just replacing the one pipe would be fine, so he fixed the one pipe and it's been a whole year and I still haven't had any issues with the other pipes A.J was trying to get me to replace
