I was linked to AJ Bono from AHS for a faucet leaking issue. The plumber came on the scheduled time but didn't do a clean job. He just did what is required by the insurance to fix a faucet but when I asked him to replace the flange he said no. I was like I have a pair of flange can you just replace it but he declined to do it.
The reason for my 1star.

We had clogged toilets and knew the clean out in the front of the house needed to be snaked. Fidelity sent out AJB who refused to snake at the clean out. Instead they used a snake too short for the toilets and told us they had to go through the roof vent to get to the clog in the toilet line. Again we asked them to just go through the clean out accessible on the ground in the front of the house. The plumber called his supervisor. The supervisor stated they indeed had to go through the roof and denied they needed to even investigate the clean out. Going through the roof was much more expensive. The supervisor said he would call Fidelity to see if going through the roof was covered and they would get back to us right away. Then the plumbers were suddenly gone with our service charge fee without stating the plan or even saying goodbye. We immediately called AJB and got a recording that they were closed. We then called Fidelity and they said going through the roof was not covered and that we would have to pay AJB out of pocket. AJB still did not call us back. We called Roto Rooter who came out right away and they snaked the clean out and found the cause of the problem which was a jagged pipe which will be an easy fix. Thanks Roto Rooter! We still have not heard back from AJB.

If your looking for a honest, reliable and timely plumber, this is not the answer. They constantly miss appoints, don't do the job they promised, excessive charges and the worst is when you call and ask for the general manager, you never get a call back. Our drain in the master bathroom is still plugged up and I have paid them $675.00 to do the job. Good luck if you decide to use them.

We were assigned AJBONO through our home warranty after another company messed up our piping. Diego was knowledgeable and found the problem quickly. He kept me updated every step of the way and checked for mold in the drywall for me.

Our home warranty company sent us AJB to fix a leak in our crawl space. They think they found the source of the leak and fixed it but weren't quite sure that this was it. They promised Fidelity and us that they would come back in a week to make sure that the leak was fixed for sure. I even had an appointment set up for today for the plumber to come to inspect the crawl space. After blocking out the whole afternoon, the plumber never showed up. I called AJB and they said they were not sending him out. They did not even give me a courtesy call to tell me that. And the woman who originally agreed with Fidelity and me, would not get on the phone....""She went home for the day."" Inconsiderate of the customer's time, terrible customer service, and could care if the work was completed or not.

Felipe and Jose worked tirelessly this Labor weekend to get our plumbing back and running. They came Friday with no luck. Broke the news we needed to install a clean out but it had to be done. No upsell just straight to the point. Worked on their off days which we are so grateful. Being displaced was hard on the family (no plumbing). They finished up on Labor Day and we're flushing away! Any review that says they were hard to get ahold of or not on time, let me just say.....it's cause they are taking care of their customers. They don't rush and give you all their attention on your issue. They were referred by our Home Insurance, but now recommended by very grateful customers!!!

My home warranty assigned this plumbing company to resolve an issue for me. They arrived at my property a few times before attempting to fix the problem. The issue was not resolved and they want more $$ because the sink was not included through my warranty. They left and never gave me a follow-up. I had to call multiple times to schedule them back. Very inconveneice.

WARNING!!! AJB appears to be a ""preferred"" contractor with at least a few home warranty companies (ours is American Home Shield). We have been without hot water for over a week. Originally AJB came out and said we needed a new control valve for our hot water heater and that it would be a couple days to get it. We called after a few days and then they told us the parts weren't available and that they needed to order an entirely new hot water heater. After several more days of waiting, we were told today it would be installed, I stayed home from work for the install. And about 1 hour prior to the appointment time they called and said, ""unfortunately the water heater wasn't in stock""!!!! What a surprise!!! You waited to inform us of this 30 mins prior to our appointment time????? Really???? AJ Bono blames the warranty company for this, and of course the home warranty company blames AJB. It's all very poorly run and we knew we should have walked away after so many bad reviews. Terrible service by both companies and zero regard for their client's time and/or need for hot water and general living conditions. I will never use AJB again.

A follow up to this post is, I called another local plumber (who had a 5 Star yelp rating) after being completely livid with the lack of service & professionalism from AJB. Guess what? Not only did this new company we hired have the part that we needed for our repair (after AJB told us ""that this part was no longer available""), they also had our entire water heater on the repair truck and gave us the OPTION of replacing only the control valve (which was also still under manufacturers warranty) or the entire tank). The local plumbing company installed our new water heater the same day and got our hot water back up and running!

Like another reviewer, I was also very afraid being assigned to AJ Bono Plumbing based on the yelp reviews.

Luckily, I was assigned Ignacio, and if you search reviews of him within the AJ Bono Plumbing yelp page, you'll notice he has all 4-5 star ratings. Ignacio did a great job! While we were scheduled for 10am-12pm, he did call me around 11am to let me know he was stuck at a the last job site for a bit and wouldn't be able to come until 1pm, which is totally fine for me since I was working from home the whole day. My sink was clogged, he tested it out then ran the snake to unclog the line (which had some hair). No frills or up-selling, and he was out within 20 minutes. Tested out my sink and it works perfectly. He was kind and cleanly, and gave me a receipt which included a 30-day warranty in case my sink clogs up again.

I was connected to this company through my home warranty company. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews. However, they were awesome. Specifically our technician Diego. He called 30 minutes ahead to give me time to meet him at the house. He was polite and went right to work. He fixed our issues within an hour and explained the problems and what steps he did to fix them. Very satisfied consumer!
