Used a lot of plumbers over time. Charlie is the best. Worked on time to spec and cleaned up the job perfectly. All done without any fuss perfectly.

Issue with radiator leak, A.J. replaced the two radiator vent valves and some minor surface cleaning. Total bill $175. Home Depot sale the same valve for $7.98 each. You can be the judge.

I'm only even giving this company 2 stars because they previously did good and reasonable work for us.
There were a couple of jobs that they were supposed to come back out and finish for us. Unfortunately they refuse to call us back even after months of calls, voicemails and promises that we'd hear back soon. Well it's been about 3 months and we still have open pipes and a non-connected laundry room sink.
It's sad because the work they had done for us previously was satisfactory.
I suppose when they left a bunch of filthy old pipes in our yard after replacing them that should have been the first indication that service was going downhill.
Needless to say, filthy pipes were left and never hauled away and it's been months of waiting for a return call about completing the work they started in our laundry room.
Don't waste your time or money here, they have clearly given up.

I spoke to Charlie to scheudle a time to visit our house. I told him we were ready to move on the project. He had been recommended by a neighbor. After finding a time that works for him, not me the customer, we set a date and time. Said date and time comes and goes. I get a call 15 minutes late, sharing that he would be leaving his office soon. Perhaps he thinks he is the only one that works. I told him I couldn't stay and wait for him. No apologies, he was actually surprised I couldn't ""hang around"". He just said he had something come up... again, I guess I do not have anywhere to be. Never mind the fact that I had to burn vacation time.

I tried to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, so I called back to try to reschedule... After asking him when he could meet, he couldn't provide me with anything that worked with my scheudle. Business must be so good for this guy, that he doesn't need customers.

Case and Point: Unless you do not work, or have a really flexible scheudle.... do not hire this company!

Called Charlie on Friday mid day to tell him that my plumber had bailed on me last minute. I was using my plumber for over 6 years. I had no use of my dishwasher or my sink. Charlie called me back later that evening to see if I found anyone and agreed to come by first thing the next day. He was able to get everything set up in just over 2hrs. He was extremely knowledgable and polite. I will only being using AJ Black plumbing going forward!

We woke up one morning to find a water main in our basement leaking. We called AJ Black, and an hour later, everything was fixed. Fast and efficient -- exactly what we needed!

Wish I was able to give no star and it would register. I called looking at the reviews on here. I had an issue with my heat and needed someone for a second opinion. Guy that answered said he would have to look at my problem. He said he would call me the next day and come look at it late morning. Well I sat around never heard from him nor saw him. I even called and left a message. Would never give this person money or another shot! Horrible customer service!

Had a problem with the toilet. Family recommended this plumber. They were very helpful on the phone and I was able to get someone to come the same day. Plumber Michael was friendly, efficient and thorough. The bill was reasonable too.
