As soon as Tony found out that I have more than one plumber to give me a quote on a not so small job, his attitude changed and he basically didn't even want to bother to come. He said that he doesn't want to waste his time on people who are getting more than one quote. Completely unprofessional and I am not sure where all the good reviews came from, most likely self reviews or friends.

I had a great experience working with A Few Good Plumbers. He set up an acceptable appt time, arrived on-time, assessed the situation and offered a reasonable quote to fix the issue. He was clear and thorough in telling me what work he'll be doing and how long it would be.
When I advised him what the other plumbing company had quoted me, he advised that while it was an acceptable solution, it was very invasive to my walls (breaking away the walls to re-pipe) and he found an easier solution that would work just the same. His creative thinking was definitely appreciated!! His solution with the routing of the pipes has been working well with no problems at all.

I've was pleased with the excellent service and comprehensive work that he did, I'd recommend A Few Good Plumbers to anyone in the area they service. I'm keeping them on my Contact List for any other future problems! :)

I needed a plumber, and I didn't know who to contact so I quickly started researching plumbers in the area and came across A Few Good Plumbers. After reading one positive review after another, I decided to give them a call.
Tony was on site within a couple of hours. He used a camera to help identify the problem and the images were sent to me so that I too could see the extent of the damage. He offered a cost-efficient solution and had his crew working on the pipes in no time at all.
Safety seems to be a top priority for Tony and his crew. The area that was excavated during the job was carefully marked and secured to prevent accidents. Upon completion, everything was returned to its original state.
I would highly recommend A Few Good Plumbers. Tony will keep you informed every step of the way, and you will be impressed with the finished product. Honest, respectful, hard-working, and knowledgeable...when it comes to plumbing, they are my new go-to-guys.

From the first call to the final result, everything was fast and efficient. I had a leaky shower valve and broken handle. Robert quickly assessed the issues, knew exactly what had to be done, gave me a ball park figure on the spot, and lastly we agreed to a date and time for him to come back. (I called late Friday afternoon).

Robert came back at the exact time we agreed to and in less than 45 minutes I was inspecting a job well-done.

Robert is friendly, courteous and professional.

My pilot light went out on my water heater for good and i was thrilled to learn the gas company wouldn't touch it as the venting in the closet was not to code. Not having hot water for over a month, added to imminent sale/loss of the home, had this homeowner on the brink of losing my freaking mind, but along came Rob who saved the day. He deftly recommended a cost-efficient way to replace the heater and bypass the venting that did not set me back half as badly as i was expecting. And - he was a professional and a gentleman throughout the entire process, taking my near meltdown in stride, with kindness.

i cannot recommend Rob and A Few Good Plumbers enough.

I manage a restaurant in Azusa while I live in Seattle. Thanks to yelpers, I found Tony's company. It's an emergency issue and Tony was able to go fix the problem that my restaurant has within a couple of hours on the same day (on Father's day!!). His fee was relatively fair and at first I was very afraid that it would be at a high price. Tony and his company will be my go-to plumbing company that I will use from now on.

We had a minor plumbing emergency with our kitchen sink today and had no idea who to call. I remembered driving past Tony's truck each time we enter and exit the freeway, and after reading the reviews on Yelp decided to call him. Luckily he was in the area just around the corner. He came over, was extremely polite and accomodating, and was done with the work in about 15 minutes.

I cant tell you how much of a load off of my mind this was, I have come to find that I really have absolutely no plumbing skills outside of turning a facuet off and on. Thankfully there are talented, polite, and VERY FAIR plumbers in the area that you can turn to.
I know how much we all regret calling a plumber because of the unknown costs, but let me tell you this: Tony is extremely fair and should be the first one on your list when something needs to be done.
I'll be passing his cards out to all of my neighbors and hopefully soon he wont be too busy to take my call again!

While staying with my parents for a few weeks, the kitchen sink and washing machine backed up. I dug around for a few reviews (found this company on yelp) and here's the story:

I called Tony this morning a little after 9, said I needed a drain snaked, discussed pricing, and I asked when he could be here... Said he would call in 2 hours, instead of calling he was here in a bit over an hour and a half.

Ended up snaking two drains, and patiently listened to my mom while she asked 1000 plumbing related questions.

He's a small company, fully licensed, bonded and insured Lic #959879 unlike the big ""rooter service"" where you have no idea if these people are licensed or insured.

I would without hesitation recommend AFGP if you need to have a service call for your elderly parents, or anyone who isn't savvy when it comes to dealing with service people. Tony is an up-front, professional guy. He was done quick, did two drains, and charged less than those smell good plumbers charge for one.
