I don't have much experience with plumbers, but Kevin and Tommy were very courteous and helpful and took care of the problem same day. I think they did a wonderful job with Rheem water heater. I can rest easy knowing everything is well now.

The plumber, Kevin, was very chatty and knowledgeable, but too expensive. We were charged over 460 bucks to tighten a dripping valve; tighten not replace, and to cut out two 4x6 tiles; no replacement of tiles, just cut them out. That was the whole job, it took maybe an hour.
Kevin came back two days later to return the faucet, that he asked, if he could take it with him, knowing we would be replacing the entire shower and faucet. Maybe he charged a couple extra hundred for the unnecessary, local, return visit...idk.
I was very shocked at the price of this plumber. I called Kevin and asked him to review and revise the bill. Kevin said no, and said that he had earned his money.
I will never use A Fast Plumbing & Drain ever again. For me this was a months car payment and part of an insurance payment, for one hour of this plumber's time....WOW!
If price is not an issue for you, go with Kevin. If you work really hard for your money and need a reasonably priced plumber, do not call this guy, ask your family and friends for a recommendation.

Ok- pros:

-Convinced my landlord to get the correct hot water heater instead of a smaller, cheaper heater that wouldn't accommodate the big bathtub.
-Installed it the next day after determining my old one was out, quickly and efficiently.
-Did a professional job with install

Cons:
-This guy said he would call to set up an appointment to come by and then a few hours later called me at work and said he was outside my house! I asked him when his next appointment was because I was at work and he laughed and said not for another few days. I had to leave work and rush home because we had a huge leak and I was stressed about it. I tell him I'm working and will need to leave work and drive home and will be there in 20 minutes. I get home about 15-20 min later and he wasn't even there! Said he left because I wasn't there and would be back in a few minutes. 40 minutes later they show up.

-I had opened my garage door because the power company had our power shut off in the neighborhood for the day for upgrades and I needed to manually unlatch it. The owner and his partner did not knock on the door when they arrived. They simply let themselves into my home! I didn't realize they had showed up until I heard voices and my dog started barking at the garage door. I think this is outrageously unprofessional. I asked them why they didn't knock and he laughed at me and asked if I needed them to come around to the door now, basically mocking me. I am a woman, home alone, and two strangers just let themselves into my home without letting me know. I'm not sure why this was funny to them.

-The owner stated he would not be able to get the part that day, would need to come back the following day. All good. I understand this completely. I let him know I'll be working the following day, but that my mom could be there to let him in if he gave me a time. He states he has another job in the morning but will be there around noon. He asks for my moms number to call if something comes up. At 2:30 the next day, my mom texts and asks if something changed because they still have not arrived. I call the owner, frustrated at this point, and he tells me it's my fault because he said he would call when he was on his way and that's why he got the phone number. What?? I cannot comprehend how ""we will see you around noon unless something happens"" turned into ""we said we would call you when we were headed over"". Why tell me a time at all? I asked him what time they expected to be at my house and he stated another hour.

So an hour and a half later they show up. My mom opens the door and before she can even say hello, he says to her ""DONT EVEN START WITH ME"". My mom tells him not to speak to her like that, shocked that he would be so aggressive. I guess it's an improvement that they even knocked this time? He rolled his eyes at her and walked into the garage and completed the work.

I hate to leave bad reviews for small business. I get the struggle but I have never dealt with someone aggressive and unprofessional like that without cause. I would not recommend this company, at all. Hope that they can get their customer service together in the future.

Kevin is a really dependable and honest plumber who does the job right the first time. Many plumbers will charge you an arm and a leg for work that's going to need to be redone later. Not Kevin. He's the owner so he takes pride in his work and treats you like family. Go for the best!
