Worst customer service EVER!! I""ve been in the plumbing trade for over 30 years, live about a mile away, and have been there going back a long, long time. Today, after a 20 minute wait with 3 others in line (without a word from anyone in the office), they allowed a customer to jump the line and buy a CAN OF DOPE!!! Wrote up a ticket, paid in cash and got change!!!! When I complained, and said I would never go in there again, John, (been there as long as I remember) tells me ""good,go!"" John has always had a terrible personality, but they don""t care. For him to feel he can talk to a customer like that is only because he knows he can get away with it. I am a licensed master plumber and I'm telling you your better off at Blackman, you don't stand in line while the countermen disappear to eat lunch, they don't let their friends cut the line and the countermen are pleasant to deal with. In addition, when I complained to the staff in the office that I was ""displeased"" enough to go to Blackman and never come back to AF, John told me more than once that he agreed and I should. I guess you get what you pay for

This is the best stocked plumbing supply store I've been to in Long Island. This is where you'll inevitably go when Home Depot and your local plumbing supply store don't carry what you need.

This AF location is centrally located on the island, but Hicksville is not someplace I frequent. I'd find AF Glen Cove to be more convenient, but I called them once to see if they had an item, they said yes, then I went to Glen Cove and they didn't have it. So I'm not going back there.

If AF Hicksville tells you they have an item in stock then they've got it. The service is efficient. It can be a slow experience but only because this place is popular.
