Bill is awesome! He ran a gas line and water line to an outdoor BBQ and did an amazing job. He was timely and professional. In addition, his prices were fair and reasonable. He will for sure get more business from me and my clients.

Upon reading these Yelp! reviews I thought I would give Bill and A Call Away a try with an under-the-house pipe issue in my 80-year old home. The reviews were right: Bill is not only a great plumber, he was incredibly nice, on-time, hard-working and reasonably priced.
Bill arrived on time. Upon arrival, he was polite. He crawled under the house in a not-so-amenable crawlspace and made a thorough inspection. He then gave me a detailed, written quote which seemed reasonable. It was: he spent over two very hard-working hours in a difficult space; he went beyond what I expected by adding in an easy-to-access opening to the new pipe he replaced so that when it has to be snaked, it can be done from outside of the home, not under the crawlspace. It's this sort of detail that sets 'excellent' professional craftsmen, contractors and repair persons apart from 'good' professionals.
At the end of the work, he cleaned up, explained everything to me, and guaranteed his work for a year.
I will be keeping his contact information in my address book should I need future work.

Bill is both a gentleman and an excellent plumber. I have dealt with some real idiots in this field so getting someone like him is a true gift. He showed up at the designated time and got right to the issue without much to do. The leak was pretty good sized, but he had it fixed within a short time and advised me how to avoid mold etc. Above and beyond what was called for and saving me a lot of money in the offset. Gave me the price up front and did not stray from that figure. I have already asked about my next venture which will be a water softener for my own house. He also checked out the rest of my plumbing while at my rental which helped me to be more comfortable about renters coming in. Great guy, and fast and efficient.

I called ""A Call Away Sewers & Plumbing"" for sewer service. Bill answered my call and he was very nice when making the appointment.
Then he became very rough when I asked for a small tiny discount since he cannot complete the job withing the day (it was 3:00PM) and the situation required to snake twice if he need to came back next day. Then he refused to provide service. It sounds to me that negotiating price with him is a joke. My tenant told me that Bill suspected if he can collect payment from me. What?!
BTW, I have to call another rooter. The new rooter installed a clean out and snaked the sewer (same job). The problem was fixed within 2 hours (4:30PM ~ 6:30PM). My tenant was happy.
The new rooter charged $600 only for the service, compared to ""A Call Away Sewers & Plumbing"" who quoted $905 to fix the problem.
Anyway, ""A Call Away Sewers & Plumbing"" is in my black list now.

My project involved an aged clay pipe sewer line that extends about 150 feet from my house to the sewer district's central line, running downhill under field grasses and trees. Bill methodically used his camera and his brawn (digging several holes and a trench in both heat and rain) to troubleshoot my line and pinpoint the problem areas. When he discovered that my line was not connected to the sewer district's central line, he immediately called the district, and the fix was done that day. Bill kept me calm and well-informed throughout the project. We set a deadline at the outset (I had weekend guests arriving in 2 weeks) and Bill met it despite the surprises encountered along the way. The final cost was well within reason.

Thank you Bill,

We have used A Call Away for many years and they kept us from being ripped off by a dishonest plumbing company that falsely claimed we needed a new sewer lateral. Bill came out promptly and put a camera down our line which showed that our sewer lateral was in fine condition, saving us thousands of $$. We later bought an older home in Concord which actually did need the sewer lateral replaced, and A Call Away handled this difficult project satisfactorily despite major resistance from the City of Concord and my uncooperative neighbor. I can't say enough good things about A Call Away.
