I noticed my sump pump was making a lot of noise so I did some research and found A.C.T Plumbing. He answered my call right away and spend a lot of time answering all my questions and helping me decide on what I needed. When I called back he provided a fixed quote and scheduled a date. He arrived on time and worked professionally doing exactly as I expected. The final charge was exactly the quote, with no reasons for why things had to get more expensive. It was such a pleasure to work with Ron. It is obvious he cares about what he does and satisfying his customers. He even called me two days after installation to see if I was completely satisfied and if I had any questions. Ron is now my plumber for anything I need in the future. Thanks Ron!

Ron is the opposite of any negative plumber stereotypes you've ever heard. Had an emergency first thing in the morning, and he was available on the spot to help me troubleshoot the problem free of charge before making an accurate diagnosis and was able to come fix the issue that day. Quoted me 2 options, explained them so I felt comfortable making an informed decision, and the price he quoted me was what I paid- no bullshit, no added charges for the visit or emergency call. Even checked my pump and battery backup for free. Im sure there are cheaper options out there, but if you want someone who knows what they're doing, believes in quality work and materials, stands behind their labor, and understands customer service, call ACT when your plumbing malfunctions. He even called me the next day to make sure I was satisfied... no one does that anymore. 5 stars!

In my experience, plumbers are rarely called proactively, rather when you actually HAVE a problem. The first time I called Ron was one of these instances. He was extremely attentive to my problem (kids sink) and even made an extra trip to get me a specialty part. He cleaned the area and I feel I received a very fair price. He actually charged me for what he said it would cost! Since that visit I have needed to call Ron for multiple projects including toilet leaks, outdoor spigot replacement, a rusted copper drain pipe leaking in my basement, and water and sump repair. Each visit Ron was punctual and consistent with pricing. Excellent work, fair pricing, clean, professional, and answers/returns calls. Go ahead and hire a Ron.

This is the second time we have used Ron for our plumbing needs. Last time we had to have him fix our water line to our fridge. This time we had him install a water softener. He worked efficiently and was very affordable. I am positive we will use him again. He is very friendly and was super accomodating when we had to reschedule. Definitely recommend!!

Woke up the other day and noticed my 10+ year old hot water heater leaking from the bottom. Waited a day bc of course it will go away and fix itself...well it didn't. Could have went to big chain but I d much rather support family owned business. Ron R. Was the first to appear on YELP and first thing I saw was all the stars highlighted! There's a reason for that! He knows his stuff, he is very knowledgeable, and very prompt! I called him and explained the situation. He used FaceTime to help me turn the gas knob off and look to see if I have space for the newer heater. He answered all questions! Ron told me he can come out the same day to take out and install new heater!
When he arrived, he was very friendly, professional, and willing to explain everything. He even gave extra advice or information that can help prolong the life of the heater among other gadgets in the house. He taught me by demonstrating ... not just with words. Exactly what I like when i need to learn something that I'm unfamiliar with! Ron was very careful to keep everything clean. Covered work area and walk area with tarp so no extra water or dirt will go on floor. He did all the work and I was very impressed! It's only been less than a day that service was provided and I already passed his info on to two other potential customers in the future. That's the confidence I have in Ron! It's not everyday a repair man/woman arrives and takes the time to be that courteous and friendly/outgoing. Please consider Ron for future plumbing work. You will not regret it! Thank you Ron!

Had this company out to me property a few days ago. A tall gentleman showed up named Ron. He recommended that I replace my regular water heater with a tankless water heater. I had a Bradford WhiteWater heater that it started to leak from the bottom. Well now after having tankless water heater installed for a few days , I have to say I love it! He does an amazingly clean job and I showed a few friends and they said it looks like he has been doing this for 15 years. They said the way that his copper work looks is absolutely amazing! Yes the tankless water heater works great but it also looks like art! I don't take cold showers anymore! The water seems to never run out!
I live in st-charles and he got out to me within 20 minutes. Good personality on him as well! Thanks Ron I will call you if I need you for anything else.

This year was my turn to cook turkey for the family. On thanksgiving day this year, I got up early and started to cook my desserts. As I started to put the turkey in, I noticed the range was not heating up anymore! The panic on my part was unbelievable!!!long story short, the turkey got done and it was a good thanksgiving. The next day I bought a new range with the double oven( my dream range). She is a beauty! After installation tho, the problem that I noticed was that it was not hitting the wall and I had a hard time opening the drawers. I called up sears and they told me I have to hire a plumber! I'm thinking ""great! This will be costly!"" I go on yelp called a bunch of companies and found ACT Plumbing out in Hampshire (near me). Ron was super friendly, accommodating and he offered free estimates (I was not in a rush to get this done because I didn't have much free time at that time). I asked him if he does estimates after 6 pm since I wasn't gonna be home until then. He said yes! Well I ended up working later that night so my husband met him instead. Ron told my husband what needs to be done, the cost and expectations. The following week which is today, Ron came to the house and he immediately started working on the problem. He was so patient on answering my non stop questions while working to fix the problem. I'm always curious to know what is getting on the house so I figured why not ask!

Overall, if you are looking for a friendly efficient service with a smile, Ron and his company is highly recommended!! Forgot to mention that his pricing is very affordable!

This is my go-to plumber. Ron came highly recommended and lived up to all expectations. I had a serious leak in my bathroom sink and couldn't see where the water was coming from. Ron quickly stopped by when called and diagnosed the problem in under 2 minutes. He provided a suggested source for a new faucet and had it installed in less than 10 min. Prices are reasonable and honest. Ron is a man of high integrity who I highly recommend.
