I cannot say enough good things about Ron Ross and A.C.T plumbing. I was working on a sink and after a few weeks of trial and failures and my wife saying get a plumber...... I searched on Yelp and found A.C.T. They came out the next day and had the problem fixed in no time, and even said I was close, which was all I needed..... Any time I need a plumber I will be calling them right away, he is now ""our plumbing guy"". I don't write a lot of reviews but these guys are outstanding and I wanted to share a great experience and recommend him to everyone.

We just needed to replace a water heater. Looks like a simple task. Accept when our unit was built construction guys installed the heater first and did plumbing and electrical installation after probably thinking that the heater will never break down. Ron had to think outside the box to get this job done. He actually had to move kitchen cabinets to get old water heater out. But the job was done professionally and result is perfect. Final bill for the job was less than the estimate! Great service, highly recommend!

We hired Ron for several plumbing jobs at our new home. He had but far the best price on our new sump pumps with backup batteries. Ron really came through for us. I searched for a well reviewed, local plumber, found A.C.T., called about 6:45 AM, and Ron was at my house at noon. He would have come sooner, but I was at work myself that day. He was knowledgeable of my problem, and helped me get it taken care of. He also noticed that I had leaky check valves, and really out if date sump pumps. My mother-in-law lives in the basement, so I knew that keeping it dry down there was a priority. Ron came back the next day and replaced my sump pumps, installed new check valves, and put in a couple new PVC pipes. The work was done rught and quickly! I will definitely be calling Ron and A.C.T. for future plumbing needs, and you should too!

We had a suspected frozen pipe and I called Ron in the early afternoon. Despite a full roster of others with frozen and broken pipes, he promised to be to our house by 8. He called to let us know he was on the way and arrived a bit earlier than promised. In less than 10 minutes he located and fixed the problem, which luckily wasn't a frozen pipe, but a faucet malfunction. He was fast, professional, and very reasonable for a same-day emergency call. I would strongly recommend him.

No one likes it when your water heater fails and you have to find someone to replace/repair it. I do not write a lot of Yelp reviews but when I find a company that is does excellent work, shows up when they say they will, is fair priced, explains everything and cleans up after the work is done I feel I should at least give them the review they earned. Ron and ACT Plumbing is such a company. I highly recommend them.

Another instance of great service. Ron was able to come out all the way to Rolling Meadows to replace a toilet on a Sunday! Showed up on time and even waited for me as I was running late. He ordered the toilet and installed it within 20 minutes it was all done . I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs fast honest and reliable service.

Ron did a phenomenal job on replacing my garbage disposal and bringing my dishwasher lines up to code. After having called Roto Rooter (aka Money Looter) I was quoted nearly $1,200 for the exact same job that Ron did for just around $450! He was so nice, very trustworthy, and didn't make up crap that was ""broken"" that he could fix for a discounted price like all the other plumbers out there. I will DEFINITELY be using him again for every single plumbing need I have. My dogs also loved him and you know what they say, dogs are the best judge of character! Thank again!

Excellent all-around company. When my sump pump broke down, I called several plumbers. Ron was the only one who actually answered the phone! He came out when he said he would (the same day), showed me what was wrong and why the old pump quit, and made a recommendation for a high-end system and explained why he recommended it. I went with it and he did the installation promptly.

Ron is a very conscientious tradesman and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again if the need arises--strongly recommended!
