On Wednesday morning, 4/24, I woke up to cold war and knew my 20 year-old electric hot water had kicked. I was referred to the Steve (owner) from a friend. Steve responded to my call with a house visit the same day I reached out. He took an hour to explain to me the benefits of upgrading to a gas powered heater and recommended some options that made sense. The next day (4/25) the new water heater was professionally installed and my family loves having access to piping hot water since we owned the house. When my wife went to pay the bill Steve was kind in that he came in under budget since the installation went a little smoother than planned.

Steve was quick to respond to a crisis, an excellent communicator, professional, and kind. I really appreciate how he reworked his schedule to fit my family in! Nobody has coached me to write this review; this is a small token of my appreciation for a good man that does great work. I plan on having Steve back to help me upgrade my sump pump!

I have never written a Yelp review but I felt compelled to do so because I am so disappointed. After following up to find out when he would show up (I stayed home from work to be available), the guy that finally came was rude and acted like I was an absolute idiot for asking what he thought the problem was. He took a couple cursory glances around and announced it would be $295 + tax to fix my kitchen drain that wasn't draining properly. Apparently I'm supposed to take that at face value and just hand over $300 with no information about what's wrong. I ended up telling him we didn't want the work done by him and had to write him a check for $45 for doing absolutely nothing. It's hard to find a good plumber who you trust; this company is not it.

I live in Roselle and made an appointment for help with a kitchen faucet that barely had a drip of water flowing from it. I just Googled plumbers in Union County and came across this company. Steve Gates arrived on time, fixed the faucet in about 30 seconds, and helped with some other work (properly connected my water line to my refrigerator and repaired a radiator connection to avoid leaking). He was professional, courteous, and most importantly, charged me a fair, reasonable price. He recommended some other improvements and I plan on hiring him for those additional services. Excellent service -- highly recommended!

Have used A-AAA Better Plumbing on multiple occasions and they've been great. Always prompt, courteous, and reasonably priced. They've been able to diagnose and repair some pretty serious plumbing issues we've encountered. You won't be disappointed.
