It seems like every summer I have some AC drama. Every. Summer. So of course this summer was no different. My AC was freezing and not keeping up so I called a company I've used before and they came out, replaced a capacitor, added a bunch of coolant and charged me an exorbitant amount of money. Less than two months later my AC started acting up again so I decided I would not use the same company because I've lost trust in them. One of my Facebook mom groups had recommended A Better Deal, along with some other honest local businesses. I made my decision and called for an appointment and they came out the same day! I was able to get the 7-9pm window which was fine with me. I'd read some previous reviews that said they failed to show up so I was a little nervous but a little after 8pm Andrew called and said he was on the way. In these Covid times, safety is of utmost importance. He arrived wearing gloves and a mask. Very much appreciated since I haven't been having anyone in my house other than the ones that live in it. He found a possible issue that I guess I've had since I bought the house 4 years ago. A simple little fix that has been over looked by every other company. More coolant had to be added and I was sure I had a leak somewhere but hoping not. The cost was 1/4 of what I had paid the other company to add coolant. A day later the AC was short cycling but still cooling. I called ABD again and told them what was happening and Andrew came out around almost 10pm and let me know he may have over filled the coolant due to some ice still being present when he filled it the first time so that's why it was short cycling. He fixed the issue, told me I should be good for the season and off he went. I've been good ever since and sure hope there isn't really a leak and that the minor fix was the real issue. I realized after reading other reviews that Andrew is the owner of the company and he works hard like a regular employee just getting it done. Very professional, extremely knowledgeable and now this company has earned my trust. From the nice lady who answers the phone to getting same day appointments because they are open 7 days a week, I'm grateful and impressed.

I went through the ringer and got attacked by a tech at Air Technical today, a company sent by my warranty company.

So naturally after that attack, I was super nervous about bringing anyone else out.

I fired the warranty company, and...

The tech from A Better Deal came out the same day. He was extremely nice and professional. Got my AC fixed in literally no time. It's so refreshing to have someone walk into your home and treat you kindly and respectfully. We will be bringing our business to them from now on.

I would highly recommend A Better Deal in Keller Texas. Andrew is the Best. We were conned by a previous Air Condition Company we used and Andrew came out at night and got us up and running. A Better Deal is Honest and has Integrity and in today's World, Integrity in Business can be hard to find. A Better Deal is the only Company I will now use for all my Heating and Air Needs. They care about their Costumers and are Honest. The prior company I gave my Business to lied to us about the Warranty and would not stand behind their product. Andrew came to Our Rescue and picked up and fixed were the other Company stuck us. He did not have to do that. God Bless Them. A Better Deal is Truly the Best.

Our upstairs A/C stopped cooling today where all of our bedrooms are and called ABD after 6:00 and agreed to a after 9:00 appointment tonight and he showed up around 9:45 took him about 5 minutes to diagnose the compressor fan had gone out, had the part on his truck, made the repair and finished around 11:30.

Not Reliable!! We were scheduled for them to come between 3-5pm. After no one showing up, we called the office at 6pm. We were told the service tech was finishing at another job and would be there within an hour. After two hours (now 8pm) we received a call saying they they were on their way and would arrive within 30 minutes. At 8:15pm, the tech texted to say he was still 20 mins out. He never did show, never called again. We never heard from anyone to cancel or apologize. Not acceptable. Why tell us you're on the way, when you're obviously not?!

Consumer beware!! Andrew Jones from a better deal installed an HVAC system in my house and never pulled a permit or scheduled an inspection. The workmanship on the system was really poor and I had issues within three year of purchasing a new system. There were power sources that were not insulated(which could have caused a house fire), drain issues, and there was never a J load comparison done. Andrew came out and charged me $280 for putting in refrigerant without even checking the system for a leak. Even with the system under warranty, he wanted $1350 to install a new coil after he eventually found a leak in the coil. Please be very cautious using this company, and if you have had a system installed by them, please check and make sure that he has pulled a permit and had an inspection to protect yourself!!

We've been using A Better Deal for several years now and have been pretty happy with their service. They show up on time and have always been nice. They've saved us more than once by coming out in the middle of the night during the summer. The only complaint I've had is that it can be difficult to get the information you need from their office.

I have been using "A Better Deal" for over 12 years. Believe me when I say, these guys are the real deal!! Honest, hardworking and stand behind their products and services. This is a company you can trust and count on to come out quickly (even in the middle of the night at times) and wont rip you off. I wouldn't use anyone else in the metroplex!!!!!

Andrew is thorough and efficient. He came for a 2 am call to check our AC unit with due diligence. He explained all our options patiently, with insight that showed his knowledge of his trade. I was extremely impressed and would recommend his company for they are willing to come anytime of day or night just to help, no extra charge to the $25 service fee. He didn't even take the fee from me at 2 am! I myself am going to mail it in on my own accord bc he deserves to get paid for coming out at 2 a.m. and diagnosing the issue with such competence and care!
