The founder, Jim Van Tassel established the business, A Better Bath and Kitchen during October 1993 with the name Roscommens Contracting. Since then, he has focused on addressing homeowners' needs related to renovation and upkeep, as well as furniture building and working as a CREIA Home Inspector. In May of 2011, the company name changed to A Better Bath and Kitchen, shifting focus on bath and kitchen remodeling, along with a showroom to assist with customer selection needs. Additionally, we offer home repairs.

Michele N.A Better Bath and Kitchen did a wonderful job for us. I had them put in Pergo and tile floors, as well as replace siding on the outside of my two-story house. All was done timely and as quoted. My stairs had to be custom cut do their shape and they turned out beautiful. I further referred them to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law who both had their bathrooms remodeled and all love them! I would definitely recommend them if you want it done right!
