The founder, Jim Van Tassel started his company, A Better Bath and Kitchen in October of 1993 using the name Roscommens Contracting. From that point forward, he has focused on addressing the requirements of local homeowners for home improvement and upkeep, along with furniture design and acting as a CREIA Home Inspector. In May of 2011, the company name underwent a change to A Better Bath and Kitchen, shifting focus on bath and kitchen remodeling, along with a customer-friendly showroom to assist with customers' selection processes. Additionally, we provide home repairs.

Michele N.A Better Bath and Kitchen did a wonderful job for us. I had them put in Pergo and tile floors, as well as replace siding on the outside of my two-story house. All was done timely and as quoted. My stairs had to be custom cut do their shape and they turned out beautiful. I further referred them to my mother-in-law and sister-in-law who both had their bathrooms remodeled and all love them! I would definitely recommend them if you want it done right!
