Company Overview

Our company is a small, family-run operation that has been passed down through three generations.

Our services encompass Plumbing, Heating, Electrical, and AC for the entire Tidewater area. We focus on both commercial and residential repairs and services. We offer comprehensive repair and replacement services for all kinds of water heaters and boilers. Our services include heat pump and air conditioning repairs, as well as replacements and new installations. We are certified by the state to inspect backflow systems and provide installation, repairs, and replacements. We can diagnose all types of electrical issues and carry out complete service changes, upgrades, and wiring installations. We also offer lighting solutions, including bucket truck services. We manage repairs and replacements for parking lot pole lighting and offer energy-efficient solutions. Our services include the repair and installation of gas lines. Our sewer services include cleaning, snaking, repairs, and replacements, along with video inspections and water jetting.

A.B. Parker & Son was founded in 1952 by Alton Bryant Parker and his son Thomas Arthur Parker. Since our founding, we have remained at the same Norfolk location, serving many of our first customers.

In the early 80s, Thomas Parker took over the business, and his son Mark Thomas Parker has been at the helm since 2001. Over the years, we have employed many dedicated individuals and maintain the same pride in our work as when we first started.

I was born in 1974 in Norfolk, VA, graduated from Norfolk Christian High School, and hold an associate degree from Tidewater Community College. I participate actively in Brentwood Baptist Church. I am happily married and a proud father of three wonderful children.
