they never perform the job they took the credit card up front charged for a job never performed never issued receipt or invoice and fake our signature, we got the same job done in fraction of the price he said he will do the job, he did not even show up, this is modern mafia

Liars and more lies. There was a clog or stoppage . I asked them to snake the drain they refused. They insisted on it being a septic pumping that was causing this. They charged several hundred dollars and left. 30 min later I called and spoke to Lupe and said it is no difference I told you I needed the drain to be snaked. He said no it needs to be pumped again. And pay again.
I told him to send someone back out and snake the drain lupe insisted on pumping which it never needed pumping from the beginning . After demanding to get someone back out there I called the regular plumber in malibu to see if he could please break away from what he was doing to snake the drain. He said ok. A&B and the malibu plumber showed up at the same time . The A&B guy was insisting on pumping a dry septic tank again and charging again. The Malibu plumber said NO that was ridiculous that is not the problem the drain needs to be snaked. So the Malibu plumber snaked the drain and it worked. A& B wanted to charge me for coming back out when he never fixed anything from the beginning LUPE IS A LIAR . ITS A SCAM BUSINESS. ITS TERRIBLE THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF RESIDENTS IN THE COMMUNITY. ITS A SMALL TOWN AND EVERYONE TALKS .
BEWARE THEY WILL MAKE YOU THINK YOU HAVE PROBLEMS YOU DONT EVEN HAVE. Call A RELIABLE LOCAL PLUMBER
IN MALIBU AND DONT LET A&B COME NEAR YOUR HOME.

STAY AWAY! I repeat STAY AWAY! I should have written this review sooner. I called A&B plumbing and told them about the problem I was having in my house, and asked that they come to our home for a repair. They showed up, told us that we had a leak, and left! They charged us $75 and didn't fix a thing, they claim the $75 was to diagnose the problem, and that we would need another appointment to actually fix the problem. We had to call another plumber to come and actually do the work to fix the leak.

Big mistake contacting these guys. Called on a Monday to have a plumber look at two issues. Was given a 1-3pm window when they would arrive. 330pm I get a call asking if I still wanted a plumber that day. I told A&B I need a plumber that day no matter what time they show. 630pm and still nobody shows so I call back but by then everyone went home. No communications whatsoever. Tuesday morning I called and A&B wants to know if I still want a plumber. I said yes. 5 minutes later I get a call from the plumber who doesn't want to enter an empty house. I told him we would no longer require his services. Horrible communications. More concerned with how they are getting paid.

Had my Septic Tank pumped and Milton came out, same day and did a great job and reasonably priced. They also snaked my main line to the house. They saved us from having a house ruined by sewage! Will use them again.

One star is even too much for this establishment. They are liars and scam artist. When questioned why they need payment before the work is completed, they bully and threaten to leave the job without completing it. Unscrupulous and dishonest. DO NOT use them under any circumstances!

They wanted to install a $89 toilet for $189, plus labor. The technician told me to go get my own toilet, which I did. The next day the had 2 techs arrive, 1 a half hour after the other, because a toilet was too heavy for one person to lift from the bathroom door to the hole. (I brought it in from the garage myself). The first guy was there an 1.5 hours, the second guy (who stood there and watched) was there 1 hour. They wrote up my receipt to say 2.5 and 2 hours. No clean up and they caulked the sink like they were icing a cupcake. (1 inch high) I had to use a credit card from my wallet after they left to scrape it down to a flush, even surface. Then when I called the manager to explain that the phone operator knows the times the guys arrived and left- he yelled at me and said they had to mark up their hours because I had brought my own materials and the markup was the only way they made money.

Beware! Once they have your money they will not give it back. I was working in the area and need a worklight they had one in stock. I got back to the job and got it to turn on once then it wouldn't work. went back the same day with my receipt. They got it to turn on but I was still concerned that It was going to break because the switch was faulty it would wear out soon. His answer was just don't turn it off. He refused to give me a refund but offered me a store credit which I do not want. He also offered to order me a new one but then I have to return to the area to pick it up which does not work for me.
Basically I've never been refused a refund from a store with proof of purchase ( the same day) on an item I was not satisfied with. From now on when I'm in the area I'm going to go to Anawalt in Malibu or Bourget brothers or fisher lumber in Santa Monica.
I can't trust a business that operates like a&b hardware !
