This is the dirtiest place I have ever visited. Plus, the staff members are so unprofessional. My boyfriend called for a service and not only did they promise a window of 10am-12pm they never showed up or called. My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to check out the place. EWWWW so freaking dirty and I waited to see a cashier for like almost ten minutes. This place is gross and unprofessional. They have too many things in such a small place. They sell things that have nothing to do with hardware like it's a convenience and hardware store. I so wanted to find out if they sold coronas too bc they sell everything except professionalism and a duster or air freshener. They are the most unreliable comp in Malibu maybe the world. the manager was so awful and rude leaving my boyfriend and I standing at check out forever...so not cool and he yelled at one of the technicians in plain view. What an awful person.

Don't use their service! Rude, unreliable, unorganized and dirty. The manager is fucking rude. Maybe Ace hardware needs to look for someone else to manage their store. We will never recommend them and have warned our friends about this awful place.

So, all time worst customer service is only the beginning. By the time we found what they said they didn't have they said they didn't know how much to charge. We had to wait for the boss to get back from McDonalds I guess. Turns out he wanted to negotiate and once we agreed on a price he tried to charge almost double on my card. He knows he's one of the only places around and is kinda a jerk about it. After I mentioned writing a review because he lied he actually cancelled the transaction and said he wouldn't sell to us. I'll go ahead and drive to Home Depot, I usually prefer to support small business but this guy doesn't get any of my money, ever.
PS, good luck navigating around his mess of a store.

Luckily, I didn't read the reviews prior to using A&B, otherwise, I probably wouldn't have used them. However, glad I did as my experience was very different from the others I read, albeit much smaller. Needed a drain unclogged/snaked, and these guys were able to come sooner than the other plumbing co's I called. I live close, so maybe that was a factor? Regardless, price was very reasonable and they were pretty much on time.

These people are complete scam artist. I had them come out to pump my septic system. They did this and then told me I had other problems with my tank that had to be repaired. They told me I needed a filter so I had it put on. Then they decided my pipe coming into the the tank was broken. I had not had a problem with it working before. I was going to have it repaired to but it just kept on going. More and more was added until I said not to $75. dollars for one guy and $60. for the second guy to dig more than had already been dug. I finally said no. My daughter and her friend ended up going to the do it center and buying what was needed and finishing up what they had started. Then they charged my credit card without my permission $1300 more dollars. I had already pd for the pumping and the filter. This was for the work that was supposed to be done but was not. The work that was actually done by my daughter and friend. I reversed the charges on my card and now they are taking me to small claims court. Stay away from these people.

Decent. Expensive, but decent.

It was $75 per hour for one plumber plus materials or parts.

I only needed a minor repair to one toilet (still, one I couldn't do by myself) and ended up paying the full $75 for less than a half hour of work.

I know that I was overcharged for a full set of new tank equipment when I only needed one part. But, I'll take that over rusty water all over my floor.

The plumber was professional. And my appointment was actually moved up an hour earlier so I was happy with the scheduling.

Just used A&B pumping services for my septic tank annual clean-out service. They were very professional, timely, courteous and provided great service. Their pumping truck was new and provides a digital reading of gallons pumped. They made sure everything was kept clean and properly addressed. I have lived in the Malibu area for over 25 years and know the importance of taking care of your septic system. A&B pumping services are very competitive and well worth checking out. I plan on using them again next year and highly recommend you consider them.

Well this is my first ever review on yelp and I hate to make it negative but there's no way around it. Came into A&B yesterday to get some 1 1/2"" galvanized pipe to make a handrail. I needed to bend some of it to 35 degrees and they tell me they have a hydraulic pipe bender they can rent me. Fantastic! Well we go out to the yard to get the 50 feet of pipe I had already purchased and it turns out they only have 20 feet. Well they say they'll have more in by the afternoon and will give me a call. No call. So I go in this morning and it turns out they did get it in yesterday and just never called. So I take the pipe back to the job site and get the pieces bent. I'm done around noon and I load up the bender and head over to return it. Well it turns out I'm 3 hours over a day and they want to charge me for a full extra day! So I tell the guy, ""Let me get this straight. You sold me pipe you didn't even have and then never called me like you said you would when it came in and now you want to charge me a full extra day when I had it for only 3 hours over?!"" Well after trying to argue my point with this guy for 15 minutes he finally relented and offered to only charge me for an extra half day. Gee thanks pal! It wasn't so much the extra cost that bothers me but more so that the management at this place seemingly went out of their way to make a customer unhappy. Anyhow I ended this most frustrating visit by informing them that I would certainly never be returning.

Do NOT Hire This company. We had an electrical outage and they have no idea what they are doing. They charged 145.00 to come by for 5 minutes to tell us they needed to come back the next day. They came back the next day with no work order and two people who couldn't speak English. They proceeded to change the outlets, which was not the problem.

We told them to leave. They got heated and said they would not leave until they got paid. We did not pay them. They called their supervisor, Lupe Valdiva, and he yelled at my wife on the phone.
DO NOT HIRE THEM or even Waist a phone call!!!

Do yourself a favor and save yourself some money by going to anyone else besides A & B Malibu Plumbing. Customer Service is definitely not their strong suit. I've used these guys for the past 3 years and am so happy to have switched. I was being robbed each and every time they came to the house to pump our septic. We have a 3500 gallon septic with 4 people living here. Based on doing my own research the tank should be pumped yearly if that. However these guys found a way to pump it every 6 months.

Also, they charge you for the number of workers they send to your home. The first day, only one guy was needed. He was unable to pump the entire septic, so they sent 3 people the next day to finish....How does that make any sense?

Then it took over a week for them to send me a quote to fix the smell that leaks from the septic. On top of that, they wanted to charge $2,400 to do two carbon filters when I only needed to do one. They said it was a deal. I'm tired of being ripped off by these people at A&B.
