Lessons learned from dealing with this company:
Beware of ""charming"" service personnel.
Do not let them start work until they provide you a written estimate for labor and parts (including the manufacturer and model number of pricey parts such as water pumps). Secondly, it is important to review the proposal and do an internet search for the price of the parts.
It became clear why the serviceman was putting on his charm when he hit us with a $1,790 fee to install a new water pump for our ""bubble-up interactive radon unit"" (RE Prescott Co., Exeter, NH). It had only taken a few hours of labor to install the pump. When we asked why it was so expensive, the owner of the company explained it was because the replacement pump was very expensive at $1600. Later, we found the exact same pump on Amazon for $335 (brand new). A.B. Hoxie had charged me nearly 5X the cost of the pump. Also, they had failed to replace the float switch which voids the pump warranty. When confronted on these issues, they had no remorse and defended their charges, including 5X the cost of parts, as appropriate.

I have twice had a need for AB Hoxie to come and repair different parts of my well. Both times, they scheduled a technician to come by the very next day and the service was fantastic. This recent time, I had a crack in the well pipe and they offered three options with the cost differences and discussed the pros and cons of each option. The crew was professional and personable and got the work done very quickly and for less than the rough estimate.

I do hope I don't need them any time soon, but it's good to know they're there.

I called at 11:45, Buzz and Logan were here by 1:30. Two hours later, they replaced the expansion tank and fittings. They checked the well to make sure the pump was good. They were efficient, clean and friendly.
Trish in the office was friendly, as well.
I highly recommend A.B. Hoxie for any water related issue.

We had an issue with the well pump. It was making some noise. The job grew in size and was even larger than anticipated. The guys on the job were great. They communicated well and let us know what was happening. AB Hoxie would not permit us to pay by card, we had to pay by check or cash on the same day. They would not bill us or permit us to mail in the check. I missed the guys at the house because of work, so I had to drive the check to the office in Charlestown before closing which wasn't an easy task. The work crew would be the reason that I would use AB Hoxie again and recommend them!

my well pump quick working. we had no toilet or shower. i called a little before 4. by 4:30 they had two guys there. they quickly analyzed a bad pump and corrected the problem. the service, starting from the customer service, to the technicians could not have been better.

These guys saved the day, got a new footvalve installed and we have water again. The technicians arrived on time and got us up and running in a couple hours. Very professional and fast.

A B Hoxie drilled a second well before closing on our home. Only three years later the pump needed replacement and they charged us almost $1400 more. That install lasted 14 months! When I pulled up the pump it's wires were loose and copper exposed.
Everybody makes mistakes..but when I confronted A B Hoxie about a repair that I had to make, due to their error, I was treated like I was the jerk. No email from the owner as promised. Strangely unprofessional staff.

I've had Hoxie come out twice, once on the weekend and once during the week. They were able to solve the issue both times. They take the time to tell you what the problem is, recommend future service when you might need it. Courteous, same day service. Highly recommended.
