Today I used them for the 4th time in 9 years---I save their receipts and am shocked it still costs $49.95. The technician cleaned out the drain in a slop sink in the basement quickly and then ran a hand held electrical snake through the sewer line to clear up the muck. It took about 10 minutes from start to finish.

SCAMMERS - STAY AWAY!!!!
This company is a scam! They advertise on their website (https://www.a4995.com) that any clogged drain is $49.95. The technician came yesterday and said there's a $30 service fee on top of that. Before he did any work, I called the company and told them that fee is not on their website and that it was a scam not to inform customers of the fee. So now out of desperation the tech does the snake on my kitchen sink and tells me there it's a grease clog- ummm yea - typical for a kitchen - no roots, no paper, just grease. Stays for a total of 15 mins between bringing equipment in, snaking, and packing up. Never cleans the cabinet, I do. He then tells me if I use my credit card there's an additional fee, so with service, fees, and taxes it came to $90.42, not $49.95+tax. Now 24hrs later, my sink is clogged again, I called the company and they said there's no guarantee on the work and if they have to send someone else out again, it would be a brand new charge!!! So glad I paid with my credit card because now I will dispute it and these thieves can try and take me to court - eff these scammers - SHAME ON THEM!

SCAM ALERT!!! this company advertises at ""49.95 any sewer any drain"" totally false. they come to your house and charge ""arrival fee"" when you call the office they say ""49.95 any sewer any drain is the name of our company"" not how much it costs. Don't use this company. In fact i might just drop an email to the NYS Attorney Generals Office to teach these guys a lesson. One day they will p*ss off the wrong person and that extra $40 they are making will cost them 10 fold in legal fees and fines. Whoever is in charge at this company is a moron because it is clearly deceptive and false advertising. I think any attorney in the NY area that is slow in business or someone just out of law school will have a field day with this company. Please someone that is an attorney, take these clowns on! Based on the reviews this could turn into a class action lawsuit.

The service was good, the guy Ramoul who came in was very professional and did the job within 40 mins and no more clog. Hoping we won't have this problem any time soon.

I called and get an estimate and they told me 87.99 to snake my drain And for the walk in visit, it seemed reasonable. Once they got to my house the plumber said it's going to cost $292.00 to do it. To snake a drain and saying it's a lot of work.. which doesn't make sense. He then says he was going to get the tools from the car and turns on his car and left. Who even does this. Should change their name to 292.

Can the BBB investigate these folks? PLEASE do not utilize this company. 1. They set extremely arbitrary prices that make the ""49.95"" title a misnomer. I was charged $150 for clearing my drain (??) and I had to agree to that but then as I was writing my check the technician told me ""actually since it's a check make it $155"" with no further explanation. Mind you, over the phone I was told it would be $49.95 to clear one way and that potentially it could be $100 for something arbitrary again I didn't understand. Does anyone see a problem here? Which is it? $49.95, $100, $150, or $155??
2. and most importantly- this company created a bigger problem than they were hired to fix. I asked someone to take a look at my drain because water from my tub wasn't draining quickly, and merely a week later the problem got *exponentially* worse, flooding my entire basement, with hundreds of dollars of my belongings there. When I called the company to ask for an explanation I was told that I couldn't utilize their 30-day money back guarantee because whether or not that service is usable is based on the technician's discretion. Huh?! Then why advertise it?? Apparently after a home is serviced they write on your invoice whether they think you should be eligible for additional servicing, which sounds a little off to me. Never heard of an invoice including such information. ""Maybe he is rejecting servicing my home again because he knows he didn't do anything to fix the problem the first time,"" I offered, hoping to get someone else. Nope! Not possible, apparently!

Thank you, $49.95 Any Sewer or Drain, for ensuring my $700 wooden furniture became a type of sewage itself, considering it was covered in basement water! What would I ever do without you guys!! Do you perchance have secret stock in Ikea, because that's where I'll have to go to replace my furniture :)

The repair man that came, named Dan, ruined our pipes. He was so inexperienced, he was trying to use the snake from 5 feet away.and opened my shower doors and did not go near the drain. He kept using the snake blindly and ended up breaking the pipe. The water went stright down to the floor below, flooding the entire area and the ceiling was wet and breaking apart. On top of that he stated that we should not put the broken pipe blame on him and that it was an old problem. Furthermore, he tried to cheat me by asking me to pay $110.00, while their fee was $49.99. He lied and stated that because my apartment was on the 3rd floor. When I told him I was going to call the company to find out, he said forget about it , give me the $50 and I need to get out of here. Moreover, the receipt has a clause that there is a 10 day guarantee policy from the company, yet on the receipt he wrote it out that there is no guarantee in pen. What a disaster. Please avoid this company before they ruin your pipes and also try to cheat you

This place is a rip-off. The tech came, wreaking of cigarette smell, so much, that I had to spray my entire house and rugs will refresher to get the awful smell out of the cigarettes that was on him. He put the snake down my sink once and after the first try, he was breathing so heavily, that he stopped and said, ""it is clogged."" Hello! I know that, that's why I hired you. Then, he said, it is difficult because you have to use all these arm muscles that you don't usually use. He charged me, $50.00 and left. I am out of my money and my drain is still clogged. I called the company and they said that if they sent someone else, it $49.95 plus $29.95 PPE charge. Give me a break, the man wore a mask and gloves - that's it. He walked into my house with his huge old shoes with no PPEs on.

Is this what it's come down to? You are going to mercilessly robbed people in the name of COVID.

We had a plugged sewer mainline. The service guy came on time as was a polite person. He had trouble taking off the house trap caps. I soaked them with penetrant for two days. Finally he got them off after 15 minutes of banging on them. He charged me 25 for each cap and then another 25 for two new caps and 60 for labor. They are supposed to charge 25 for each cap total. He offered a foam cleaner in a small bottle for 150 which is called ROOTEX. He ran his roto rooter machine through the mainline and found a blockage in the pipe. It took ten minutes to clear the blockage. He said my pipes were in bad shape and wanted 1000 to blow out my entire system with a special machine. There was a thin piece of rusty metal in the trap. My line hasnt been cleaned in decades because the house was lightly occupied. The system wasnt totally plugged and the piece of metal was the main culprit. I was quoted 99.00 for the job which should have been 49.95. We paid 435. with a Sr Discount. These people are crooks and should be closed up.The service man is instructed to do these rip offs by the company. They try to scare you so you will pay anything to get it fixed. Its a routine thing and there should be no BS or scare tactic about it.Also the old caps are reusable and the new caps are the same. They are made of lead and dont deteriorate at all. These people are not honest.
