I, Raymond Gray, come from a long lineage of plumbers. For many years, my great-grandfather and grandfather worked as pipe fitters on military ships. My grandfather joined the Union after serving in the Navy during the 1960s. Eventually, he specialized in residential and commercial plumbing services and repairs.
My father, born in 1961, learned plumbing from my grandfather during his childhood. I was born in 1977 and recall crawling under houses at age eight, playing in the dirt while watching my dad make repairs. I started tackling repairs when I was about twelve years old. I wasn’t fond of plumbing initially, but coming from a financially challenged family motivated me to learn the trade.
After dropping out of high school, I got my GED and set out on my own. I rejoined my dad in the plumbing business in 2001. I founded A-1 Total Service Plumbing in 2004 and have never looked back. I work with my dad every day. I expect the best from my plumbers to ensure I deliver the best to my customers.
My family has a long history in plumbing that I can recall. With more than 30 years in plumbing, I have 20 years of expertise in specialty underground trenchless, CIPP, and pipe coating. I handle sewer, water, gas, air ducting, culverts, and more.
I require all my service techs to provide excellent service while following our company’s core principles. The A-1 team’s dedication to service and integrity is why we maintain an 85% customer retention rate.

He opens up the drain and released all of the gunk and oil and he even cleaned the concrete with a water hose, to be sure there was no residue left over. He was here first thing the next morning on his day off with his boss they sent the camera down found the problem and Guillermo stood here until he cleared the pipe and made sure my household was good to go. Shimon D.These guys are really professional. I called them in an emergency situation when my normal plumber wouldn't answer. They came immediately, diagnosed the situation, and gave me a few options. The next morning they changed some leaking galvanized pipes with copper piping and related parts. They did a very good job, they were clean, and they were courteous to my tenants. The finished work looks like it will last 100 years.

I spoke to Alex on the phone regarding an issue I was having with my tankless water heater and he told me that it could be due to filtration service that needs to be flushed and filter that needs to be changed out. Alex was very courteous and explanatory over the phone. The next day, he had Jose sent out to check on the issue. Jose was very detailed and explained everything in detail of what was going on with my water heater. He fixed the problem and flushed the system. Everything works great now! Highly recommend their fast, reliable and detailed service.
