I am new to the area and needed some lines changed in my new home (very little to do, the lines were all in one small area!) I went online and found this company . I was quoted $500 over the phone and then the plumber came here managed to get everything wet while they were doing the job, went out to my outside faucets that weren't leaking before they messed with them and they are leaking now! The plumber told me that if just the lines inside the trailer were changed out instead of going underneath the trailer to do it all the way to the ground that it would be cheaper , that's what the plumber did ! The plumber told me that they couldn't give me a price they had to call the boss to find out what he wanted to charge me, they more than doubled what I was quoted on the phone! Have since got quotes from a few different people and they didn't even come close to what this company charged me. Very very unhappy!

I contracted A-1 for all plumbing in new house build. Shoddy workmanship abounds -- nothing to date done by licensed plumbers (sure, owner is licensed but he sends workers who are not), and they tacked on extra fees not in contract. There are numerous issues concerning quality of workmanship: 1. unlicensed plumbing laborers field modified structurally engineered floor truss while plumbing bathtub and then owner blamed on architect for putting tub under wall. It wasn't- it did require plumbing the tub overflow creatively which was beyond the ability of laborers. Owner, Roger Kielty, said it's SOP to have builder reinforce what they cut through. No, it's not. It's poor workmanship, laziness, and an excuse. Roger Kielty, apologized for not telling me they had cut through the truss, but that's how they do it. It had to be structurally re-engineered to repair the damage and structural integrity to the truss and then re-plumbed the CORRECT way. It was possible and other laborers did it. 2. Non licensed plumbing laborers failed to locate sewer tap onto my lot. They found tap in neighbors' yard after digging in their yard & then declared it unreachable. Neighbors called and told A-1 they cannot dig like that so close to huge tree as it was destroying major roots. As a result of their incompetence in locating the sewer tap, I paid City $4600 to install tap only to have City find the tap A-1 failed to find while installing *new* tap. Roger Kielty states they have a 'time limit' of how long they try and then turn over to builder. Nothing in contract stating that. Additionally, I pay for their expertise but they failed to obtain info City provides to locate sewer tap. They had only a distance, no map of alley and sewer taps leading to each lot. Workers complained and joked they only had a distance from manhole and how silly it was that was all they were provided. 3. Unlicensed plumber laborers encountered *something* in yard while digging trench for sewer and water lines and stopped work bc they thought it was a septic tank. Just stopped work and left. Had they investigated better, removed top, looked inside, or had supervisor look at it, they would have known it could not have been a septic tank due to the design. Health dept declared it NOT septic tank after I paid permit to abandon it. 4. After installing water and hooking up sewer from house to new sewer tap, they tacked on additional footage costs for sewer and water lines that was inaccurate. We invited owner to measure but he refused. Workers didn't measure, I was there. They made up a number for additional revenue and charged me. They also are charging for additional man hours due to having to return bc of their failure to locate sewer tap and discovery of 'septic' tank. Both situations were due to employees' failure to locate tap and correctly identify what was found in the yard. Because we refute the unfair additional fees, Roger Kielty refuses to proceed with the work. When we asked to have the finish work done -- shut offs installed, sinks plumbed, etc., he says it will be 2-3 weeks out even though the woman who answered the phone scheduled us for the following week. He fails to see his role in any of the problems occurred thus far. He has laborers, not licensed plumbers perform the work who clearly have an apathetic approach to other people's property. We made them clean up the mess they dug in our neighbors' yard. They said """"it's an easement"""" as though a private plumbing company has the right to dig up someone else's yard, make a mess, and not have to leave it how it was found. They cut through engineered framing members with complete disregard someone else has to repair their damage. This attitude comes from the owner who will not talk reasonably with us about the additional unwarranted fees and refuses to continue work. At this point A-1 Southern Plumbing owes ME money due to their inability to perform the work they were contracted to perform -namely find the sewer tap, and tap my house sewer lines to existing sewer lead from the alley.

We called this plumbing service to unclog our drainage system. The first time they came out they said that they fixed the issue. It lasted for about 24 hours. We called them back and they returned again. This time they said that it was fixed again. This time it lasted only a couple of hours. When we called back the receptionist told me that she needed to relay this info to the owner. They tried to charge us more money to put a camera in the pipe. I feel I paid for a service and got a used band aide for the problem. When I went to their office to see what they were going to do about the situation, I was verbally abused by whom I believe was the owner of this company and another man that works for them. For more information look at their Google review. We will never utilize their services nor refer them to our worst enemy. Their customer service and professionalism for a company that has been in business as long as their website states is atrocious. I am honestly surprised that they are still in business.

Mark came to unclog our toilet and patiently tried everything until removing the toile he found a huge root ring beneath it and removed a thick long root rope a yard and 3 inches long from the toilet. Throughout his trials he was courteous, capable, and caring. Great customer service! Trevor & Jeayn Fahey New Port Richey, Florida

This company and their employees ALL deserve five stars! I highly recommend them as your plumber. They are trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional. I would not recommend using that company. No communication with their office and plumber. I wanted an instant hot water unit for 2 sinks. Didn't tell me it required 220/240v, so I wated money with an electrician for the wrong outlet. Brought a 1-sink unit, 220/240 of course, without checking the box content apparently, no plug, wrong unit. Wasted my time and money. Worse, no one would take responsability for their mistakes and instead wanted more money for a different unit, of course. Use them at your own risk. I know I won't.

What a joke. I have used them before. About 1.5 ago years and they were a good company. I even referred them to others. But now I call them about a week ago. They came out and over charged me from the original quote. I was not home but my wife was and the plumber took advantage of her. He over charged and when we told him the problem was in 2 spots he only cleaned the main. she was home and I was at work so he He said if there was still a problem he would come back and didn't do the kitchen. So of course there was 2 problems and he only fixed one. So I called 2 times and was given a time of 2pm. No show so I called them at 3 and was told the dispatcher was in a meeting. Then after that I called back at 4 and went to a hot line. They say 24 hour service but are not. Jut selective on what 24 hours means. They stole my money and didn't complete a job. Do not use them.

I live in a block home and had water leaking into my bedroom. I called one other plumbing company who after assessing the situation, immediately jumped to """"We need to get sonar out here as it is definitely your slab leaking"""". I wanted to go with process of elimination - they didn't. So I called A-1 Southern who came out as scheduled. The plumber was Cindi. She was fantastic. I turned the water on so she could see where the water was coming from. She opened the bedroom wall and went up about 13""""; no leak and no pipes visible. Instead of jumping to Sonar, she could hear it in the wall. It turns out it was a busted Sharkbite in the outside wall where my hose spikitt. No sonar needed. Cindi removed the Sharkbite and soldered the copper pipes. No more leak ! Thank you Cindi !

They installed our water heater. It's been leaking for almost a year. There is a 7 year warranty on the water heater. They do not call back or fix the problem!! Do not use them!! Unless you want a headache.
