We were able to schedule them for the next morning to come out to take a look at why we had a weird smell in our bathroom after they gave us some ideas on why we might be having a weird odor. We tried what they suggested first but it didn't take care of the odor so they came out and took care of the problem for us! They made sure we understood what they were doing before taking care of the problem and we will definitely use them again for any future plumbing issues!

Each time they were quick to get to my house, knowledgeable on the repair, and very fair on the price. They have even given me advice on the phone, to try to avoid a paid service call. For services like plumbers, electricians, etc, I think it's a pretty easy to determine a Good or Bad experience. These guys were: Fast-someone was on location in 10 minutes and it wasn't even and emergency; Friendly- Both over the phone and in person, they were nice and helpful; and Affordable- I have no idea what I would have paid with anyone else, but for a job that I couldn't do on my own, I'm happy to spend under $100. I'll be calling them again, if ever necessary.

We had our basement flood and called A-1 Sewer and Drain around 730AM one morning. They said they could get someone out by 11AM that same morning. The technician came out, gave us a quote, prepped the work area, started the work, and cleaned up- all in less than an hour and a half (and on target with the quote)! He was very knowledgeable and represented the company well. If only every plumbing/contracting company was as competent and customer friendly!

Typical story, drain backed up in our laundry room and our basement shower so of course we hopped on Google to see who could solve the problem. Roto-Rooter is all I'd ever heard of but mostly because of their commercials, not reviews. Looking at some online experiences, people were estimating $300-$400, my jaw dropped! Instead, I first called a local company who didn't give me the time of day and was very rude so I decided against them as well.

(A little side note here, I can't stand when you tell someone that you just want an estimate and when they give you one, and you say, ""I'm gonna call around and get some more, thank you"" they go on the defensive and start bashing every other company in town. To me, that's just childish; tell me what sets you apart from other companies in the area and be dignified about it.)

Ok, back on point now...

I called A-1 a little past 10:00pm and the man I spoke to (I wish I remembered his name because he was great) gave me an estimate and explained what he thought might be the issue. He answered all my questions and said he could have someone out at 8:15am the next morning. I was surprised because the last place couldn't even get me in the next day.

Morning came and Tyler from A-1 showed up on time, assessed the situation and within 5 minutes, was laying down drop cloth and rolling in his machine. About an hour later, he was done and now everything drains correctly. The best part, the price I was quoted, was the price I paid! I won't give specifics, but let's say it was probably a little less than half of what I would've paid with Roto-Rooter.

Bottom line, a great local company that knows how to talk to customers on the phone, show up on time, and get the job done at the price that was quoted.
