Red flags:
1) A1 Sales and Service not BBB Accredited
2) No web site or email, all contact will by phone which can be screened and messages not returned
3) Would not give a firm cost for the Service call. Instead said it would be between $25-$125
4) Does not provide a cost for the final repair but does require a deposit that, from his perspective, is a commitment to purchase replacement parts without a final cost.
Questionable Business practices:
1) Receipts not numbered or serialized in any way
2) Required a deposit on the new part without providing a cost
3) Rolled the ""service call"" in with the ""Part Deposit "" for your convenience
4) Asked that the check be made to himself (Bill Vohs) rather than A1 Sales and Service
5) Cashed the check within minutes of leaving. Most reputable businesses properly process payment checks and deposit a group all at once
6) Will not return calls once he knows the cost of the part is so high replacing the appliance makes more sense
7) He has no problem keeping your money without rendering services
Preceding reviews indicate Bill Vohs has a long history of conducting business this way. Don't be surprised if he uses this game plan on you as well.

They don't answer the phone and when they do they don't call you back. Fixed a washer and it broke again the next day. Now they won't return calls after being paid. Take your business somewhere else.
