After replacing the toilet with a new one, we noticed there is a small amount of water leaking from the pipe connecting to the toilet. The plumber that we use is out of town, so we have to look for one to fix the problem. I use Yelp and found A-1 Rooter & Plumbing. After texting them with my problem did I realize they were closed on the day I texted. However, they texted back informing us that they do not have availability. I am not sure if it means they have no availability on that day or no availability at all. Since I did not specify a date on my text, it's not clear why they would texted back the way they did. Confusing!

Max was able to unclog my plumbing line under the house. He persevered thru until the stoppage cleared. I feel that he is an experienced and honest so I would definitely use his plumbing service again.

A-1 came on time when we scheduled, which is already a huge differentiator compared to most plumbers these days. I understand most of them have more business than they can handle but there are so many who flake and never show up or stop responding. Max is a nice guy, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Very reasonable pricing also. Did a nice job installing our new Duravit toilet. Took about 4 hours and he cleaned up after himself nicely.

Our kitchen sink stopped draining over the Thanksgiving weekend. When I put out a call for estimates, Max responded quickly with a reasonable flat rate estimate, then showed up on time and did an excellent, thorough job of fixing the problem. He dealt with various inconveniences and glitches (e.g. our hose anti-siphon device soaked him) with good humor, and he helped me out with another small task (extracting a broken fitting from our shower head) while he was here. 100% positive experience, highly recommended.

Spoke to receptionist took ALL my info gave me a quote of $75 when I made clear I needed an emergency service. The plumber calls me and tells me that just to come it's $275 and that just the emergency, no service. I knew it would be more but they should have well informed receptionists to provide this insight prior to getting the call from the Plummer himself and having taken my credit card information.
